Great ideas. On the east side of the island, I would add Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden…mostly because of the amazing views as you enter the park. It’s another free thing to do. I stopped there after checking out of the hotel and before I needed to go to the airport.
My soon to be husband and I will be going for our honeymoon in the middle of October can’t wait!! Got your itinerary and have watched a lot of videos to get ready for this!!
The USS Arizona does not require reservations, as there is a standby line for those without reservations. But if you want to make the most of your time, you can reserve timed tickets for the Arizona.
I can confirm that Kualoa Ranch is an AMAZING place to visit!!! We did three tours in two days and they were all a blast! I just HIGHLY recommend to anyone... DO NOT try to get there or back to another part of the island during rush hour! The traffic is horrible!
Thanks for sharing!!! Such great information. Do you have a video for Pearl Harbor? Looki ng at what the best option is DIY or guided. I also saw after clicking on one of your links for tours AYC offers a 2fer!?!?! Thoughts?
We have articles and videos on Pearl Harbor. Here is a DIY article: thehawaiivacationguide.com/how-to-visit-pearl-harbor-on-your-own/ Here are our favorite tours: thehawaiivacationguide.com/best-pearl-harbor-tours/ Here is a tour we did video: th-cam.com/video/H0KdaAOlP2M/w-d-xo.html We enjoyed our whale watch on AYC last year, they have great prices. Do an early morning tour!
We were there in September, 2022. Planning our next trip for a year from now in September, 2025. Can’t wait to plan using your travel guide, cheat sheets, and itinerary for Oahu.
You sound like us. We were there in February of this year and my husband wants to shoot for a 2026 trip back! It is really hard to plan a perfect trip that blends relaxation and sightseeing-unless you stay for like 2 weeks!😆
@@jenniferrundle6870 I agree. Last trip, we were only on Oahu for three days and then spent a week on Kauai. Next trip we’re only staying on Oahu so we can do and see more plus repeat our favorites.
Thanks Ruth! You will be all set for '25! Our newsletter will help you too. Thanks for grabbing the free downloads and the itinerary! Let us know if you have questions.
I cry inside every time i watch a video about Hawaii...been there twice...in 82 for a week and did oahu, maui and the big Island (only remember oahu tho) and Oahu again in 2015 for a full week
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide my problem (aside from the cost of course) is that IF I get back to paradise, my friend I went with in 2015 said that he'd like to go to a different island...but THIS time, his niece would come with us and she's NEVER been to the most perfect place on earth before so I'd suggest Oahu again (the "tourist Island") but I'm not sure if any other island would give her the "experience" that Oahu would for a first time visitor
Lots of fun activities. We have been to Oahu so many times and have not done 1/2 of the things you all experienced. Guess we will need to schedule another trip soon, lol. Thanks for sharing another great video. :)
We saw a turtle from the boat but not in the water during our snorkel trip. I hope you see one on the water! We loved seeing the spinner dolphins though for so much time around the catamaran.
I would disagree with the Polynesian Cultural Center. A much better alternative is the Bishop Museum. You can learn so much history about Polynesia and Hawaii at the Bishop. The history on this region is extensive and well worth an afternoon. You only need to pay an entrance fee.
Aloha, we update them every 6 months. Sometimes we had new excursion days but every time we make sure the hours are correct, new reservations, new beaches, new restaurants, etc.
That is a tough question as it depends on your flights! If you have a full day, go up to Haleakala and Upcountry or tour a part of the island like West Maui. Here is our island hopping guide if you need it: thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-island-hopping/
It was in our last list video, 21 things to do on Oahu. It made our list of 5 best snorkel spots article: thehawaiivacationguide.com/best-snorkeling-spots-on-oahu/ We like it but the reservation system makes it hard for visitors to make a trip there.
Mahalo for watching! See our FREE Oahu Travel Guide for more information: thehawaiivacationguide.com/oahu-travel-guide/
Thanks y’all🤙🏼

I totally should have added Ho'omaluhia! That is a lovely stop. I like the signs at the entrance to ask Instagrammers to refrain from picture taking.
Perfect timing! We'll be there next weekend with our toddler!
Perfect, enjoy Kuhio Beach in Waikiki or the Ko Olina Lagoons!! have a wonderful trip
This update is so convincing that we *already* bought tickets!
haha, that is awesome! have a great trip!!
fiercely taking notes Jordan lol great video guys!!
Thanks Allison! Have a great trip!
Great video guys!!
Ok you’ve convinced me to buy one of your itineraries.
I know, we pushed them a little hard in this video but we had fun. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

Awesome video.
North shore for sure. ❤
for sure! We will be there on our next trip this winter.

What times are rush hour there?
@Beeks0z0 roughly the same as mainland rush hour.. roughly 3-6pm

We like to recommend Maui for first time visitors too. Maui has a lot to do for a lot of different folks. Go for it!

Excellent snorkeling….those reefs look totally dead compared to some Fijian ones I went to ten years ago ! Climate change is so sad
Where can you fly drone legally in Oahu? Thanks
