Jesus lets us see his omnipresent bearded face when we obey him. I have thousands of examples on my TH-cam channel. BTW, you have to see him and believe in him to have eternal life. John 6:40 "For it is my father's will that everybody who SEES his son and believes in him shall have eternal life and I'll raise them on the last day." Look left. I watched this debate on Dr Michael Brown's Channel a while ago and unequivocally, the debate was over with his opening statement. There is absolutely a reason that the Isaiah scroll found in the Dead sea scroll cache was totally intact. Absolutely agree with Dr Brown. If Yeshua/Jesus is not the Messiah, there is no Messiah.

Failure to address them and engage shows inadequacy; it suggests that the best you can do is to try to undermine what he’s saying by appealing to some other scripture that appears to indirectly invalidate his points. @mathew - READ the F'ing Bible you dunce. Jesus does not fulfill any of the OT criteria for their messiah. That's exactly why the Pharisees wanted him crucified. One of the major problems with you Christians is you won't read anything, including your own Bible. Of all the debates I’ve had online with atheists, Muslims, and other Christians, I can count on one half of one hand of those who try to actually address my arguments. 99% of the time, especially from atheists and Muslims, but many times from other Christians, their counter arguments are usually just personal insults.

None of the above happened 2000 years ago. Therefore, the Messiah never appeared.

He may not have gone through the verses you cherry picked but he clearly and thoroughly explained there will be 2 comings of the messiah and 2 fulfillments as described in the Old Testament. The first coming was one of servitude and sacrifice and the second was of a conquering ruling king as dictated by the Jewish writings. Pay attention instead of trolling.
@@MarcPaganso Ezekiel you have no specific passage so despite the temple being built for the final time forever being an end times prophecy I will discount that as you don’t provide actual passage. So your incorrect their. Daniel 12:2 is also end times as all will be raised up for judgement, but can also refer to Jesus’ resurrection. Isaiah 11:9,10 was fulfilled in Christ. And Isaiah 2:4 is also end times. The passages say literally right in the beginning “in the end or the latter part of days.” So you’re wrong on all counts and my original comment stands. You are just trolling with no real knowledge of what you speak.
Michael Brown’s material convinced me more than anything that Jesus “Impressively” fit the role of the prophesied Jewish Messiah, most specifically his video course Countering the Counter-Missionaries. Before that I just thought that Jesus fit the role of prophesied Messiah in a “Forced” way. I bought into all of those people who claim that they just penciled Jesus back into the OT, and in a sloppy way at that. I thought that all the so called prophecies were terribly vague. The thing is, the course was quite long, and (at least for me) I NEEDED someone to meticulously build the case for it from the ground up, and needed someone with lots of expertise in that area. Because it required that amount of detail (for me at least) to dismantle the claims about everything being forced and taken out of context. A full picture had to be presented, which Brown did very well. Before his course, the quick proof texting types of arguments for Jesus as prophesied Messiah that I got from Christians did nothing for me (as far as me finding them to be convincing). Brown is perfectly suited for the task too. Because the best people who can make the case are those who are extremely familiar with the objections from educated Hebrew speaking orthodox Jews, and this was Brown’s environment for decades.

Jews rejection was prophesied too. Your hard headiness is not a good thing. Daniel specifically tells you when Jesus would appear. The signing of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem by king Cyrus was exactly 483 years until messiah the prince(Jesus), Jeremiah speaks to this as well. There is still a seven year period coming to the world who has continued in its rejection of the messiah. 490 years total were given to Israel to make an end of sacrifice, and anoint the most high. The time of Jacob’s(Israel’s) trouble is fast approaching, 1/3 of Israel will be saved during this time. So will countless gentiles. The church age is almost done and the church (gentile bride) will be caught up. I don’t hate anyone, but I’m frustrated with people. It couldn’t be more clear who the messiah is, yet you want to say it’s sloppy, shame on you. Glad your saved. Now we need to continue trying to communicate who Jesus is.

I then said that for a very long time I bought into that critique, because I never heard a counter argument that I found to be convincing. I then said that Michael Brown’s course changed my perspective, NOW I am of the opinion that the critique of “Sloppiness” is not true anymore. @@rofishy2 there isn't a 7 year period in the future. Time prophesies don't work that way. The end of the 69 weeks end at Jesus's baptism, he "confirms the covenant with many" during his ministry for one week, but in the middle gets cut off and his death ends the entire sacrificial system. The final 3.5 days refer to the disciples preaching the gospel in Jerusalem which culminates in Steven's stoning, the final rejection of Jerusalem of Jesus.
The thing the Jews always seemed to forget is that God told them they "... will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation" (Exodus 19:6). So they were not meant to be rulers of the world, they were to be the PRIESTS of the world. Big difference. This is probably the principle reason they ignored Jesus being the Messiah - he was not the Messiah they were looking for.

part of the thing that tripped Jews up was that they were expecting Jesus to establish a physical kingdom on earth, they thought He'd kick out the Romans. Ironically, I think they mistook prophesy which is probably meant for later, the Millennial Reign, where Jesus will physically rule on the earth for 1000 years. So, that will happen after End Times and tribulation, but ppl didn't recognize Jesus would first come to deal with the sin issue. We can see it now due to having a larger zoomed out view of the gospel, but biblical prophesy is tricky bc we don't always know when it will happen.
@@kevinkelly2162 And? The NT itself constantly points this fact out. Even John the Baptist and his own Apostles didn’t understand, the apostles only did in retrospect after the resurrection. All Paul did was run around trying to make arguments that everything ties in together. There was NEVER a point in Jewish history leading up to Jesus where there was a consensus about what Messiah was actually gonna look like. It was always very disputed. So many people were totally baffled by the suffering servant passages, so much so that some believed there would have to be two Messiahs (one that suffers, and one that conquers).

Writing during the Babylonian exile, when there was NO Temple in Jerusalem (as both Solomon's magnificent Temple and the city had been destroyed by the Babylonians, in 586 B.C.), the prophet Daniel writes, in Daniel 9, making it certain that the Messiah MUST come AFTER and BEFORE several unthinkable things. The Angel Gabriel had revealed to Daniel, astoundingly, that not only would the Jews' exile in Babylon end (which it did, as previously prophesied by the Prophet Jeremiah - after 70 years), but they would be allowed to return from captivity to rebuild the (then destroyed / Solomon's) First Temple and Jerusalem (with both then lying in ruins). Further, Daniel, per Gabriel, foretells prophesies of an “anointed one” (which is what "Messiah" means) who would arrive some 490 years into the future, who would then be “cut off” (killed) after a certain period of time. And Daniel further relates that, AFTER those events, (and the Messiah has been cut off), THEN “a prince (a conquering warrior) who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." Shockingly, this was telling Daniel that not only would Israel's / Solomon's First Temple (then lying in ruins) be rebuilt (into her SECOND Temple), but only to be destroyed once again (which occurred some 600 years after the prophecy was given, by the Romans). Further, Gabriel prophesied that this future (Roman) destroyer prince would also “put an end to sacrifice and offering.” And these very things occurred in 70 A.D., as the Romans sacked Jerusalem and destroyed her second / rebuilt Temple (of Jesus’ time), thus ending Israel's sacrificial system and Temple worship. And Jesus, likewise, prophesied the Second / rebuilt Temple’s destruction, in John chapter 2. So, for anyone who doubts that the Bible includes perfectly predictive prophecies, the above should take away any doubt. As Daniel prophesied, from Babylon, with much of Israel's Southern Kingdom of Judah in captivity and exile, these amazing - and perfectly and accurately-fulfilled events would (and DID) occur, with precise bookends for a VERY specific window in history for which Israel's prophesied Messiah MUST arrive and then die - between the rebuilding of the First Temple's ruins (into her Second Temple) and the later destruction of it. Daniel 9: " 25 Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks (NOTE: Each prophetic "week" is a 7-year period, so, 490 years in Daniel's future). Then for sixty-two weeks (years) it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off (the Messiah killed) and shall have nothing." Just as Michael Brown notes in this video, anyone looking for a future Messiah other than Jesus does not believe these perfectly fulfilled and immensely unlikely Bible prophesies. As that prophetic window closed over 2,000 years ago - if not Jesus, what other candidate stepped forward? And what other candidate was able to perfectly fulfill so many ancient prophecies? As for Jesus' impact TODAY? He has more followers than of ANY other faith. The entire WORLD - including even nations with few or no Christians - marks time itself by dividing its timeline between history that took place before Jesus' birth and after it (BC / AD). In 2010, Time Magazine listed Jesus FIRST in its assessment of the 100 most influential figures in ALL human history - and this assessment wasn't even close. This obscure rabbi, born in the tiny, insignificant village of Bethlehem, rocked the world from the time of his birth! And even when but an infant, King Herod desperately sought His location, to kill him, perceiving the birth of Israel's Messiah King to be a grave threat to his own rule and status.
Also, it was Daniel, who was a member of and I think the head of the magi for king Nebahkenezer. The magi handed down knowledge. and that’s how the magi from Persia knew what to look for and most Jews did not get it.

Part 1/3 Great video. I know this a long essay of multiple parts but I NEED you to take a bit of time 10 min, 30 min whatever and read this. Study it, ponder it, pray about it. This ALL ties together. Sadly, most Christians including Dr. Brown in different areas don't understand the 2nd half of the story. The story of Eschatology. This essay is the story of Eschatology so we can understand what in the world is going on. Many Christians wonder why the Jewish people don't accept Jesus? The answer: They will but the time is not yet. Romans 11:1 I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew...7 What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; (what did it seek? ("My Land"- Ownership) The question as Christians we need to ask ourselves isn't whether we agree with all of Israel's decisions or not. We need to ask "When did the LORD relinquish His claim of ownership over the Land of Israel and the City of Jerusalem?" Answer: NEVER Jesus also foretold this. In Mark 11 Jesus curses the Fig Tree and it dies. The Fig Tree is the Jewish connection to the land of Israel. It would be as if Jesus was in America and cursed an eagle and it dropped from the sky. Not a good sign for the Jewish people. It told them that the prophecy in Jeremiah 8:13 was about to come to pass. Where the LORD was going to take every blessing away from them. And as Paul writes blinded them to the identity of the Messiah. BUT in Mark 13 in connection to the LORD's return Jesus says: 28 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 29 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that He is near-at the doors! 30 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place." This wasn't about the first century. The "generation" Jesus is speaking of is the generation that sees the Fig Tree BLOOM, not die. Who see the reversal of 70-135AD. In 1948 Israel was reborn and the Jewish people began to return to Israel. The LORD has protected them countlessly from attacking nations since 1948, including 1967 where they were allowed to enter Jerusalem again and the Temple Mount. Some people ask how long is a generation? Well, Jesus tells us: 30 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away (or die off) till ALL these things take place." So those who were born in 1948 will not all die off before we see ALL these things Jesus spoke about. In the first century, it took 103 years from the cursing of the Fig Tree in 32AD to the fulfillment in 135AD and people today live to 103 years old so why not watch and see if in this window ALL the things Jesus said would happen does happen?? I feel like all of the prophecies articulated in Isaiah are so overt and apparent that i don't know how anyone could reject the notion Jesus is the messiah. How do Jews defend their position? Especially with the prophecy about the second temple. I wasn't aware of that one specifically and i feel like that unequivocally denotes Jesus as the messiah, especially since if it isn't him then there is no messiah thus making the old testament futile.

Daniel 9 & Jonah confirmed the Messiah dies ... 40 years before the Temple is destroyed. Hosea 6 confirms the year 6000 ... is 2 x 1000 years .... after death of the Messiah which is when the curse on the Jewish People ends ... because God (Jesus) will be ruling the world for 1000 years from Jerusalem, Israel. You can no longer reject God's Son is the Messiah ... when God's Son is ruling the world ... as a the promised Messiah. Despite being reformed, I love Dr. Brown. He’s a godly brother who’s always seeking unity wherever it can be found, and I deeply appreciate that about him. Thank you for sharing this! To those who disagree: it would be good if you actually responded to Dr. Brown’s points rather than endeavoring to make your own. Failure to address them and engage shows inadequacy: it suggests that the best you can muster is to try to undermine what he’s saying by appealing to some other scripture that appears to indirectly invalidate his points. Such counter arguments, however, are profoundly unconvincing because the Bible appears to be full of contradiction, and yet we know this is not the case - Dr. Brown illustrates this well with the contrasting roles of Messiah. “The sum of your word is truth” Psalm 119:160a ESV
I hear a lot of like and dislike for the man Dr. Michael Brown in the comments. I hate that about humanity: our faults overshadow moments where God chooses to speak truth through sinners. We all are sinners, but that doesn't mean that God doesn't reveal truth through some of the things that we say and do. Should we discredit all that God said and did through Moses just because Moses struck the rock and wasn't allowed in the Promise Land? An extreme example on the opposite end of the spectrum: Reverend Kong Hee - of in whom I don't believe all teachings - provided a compelling argument on how many of the ancient Chinese language characters were designed around the God of the Christian Bible (you can find TH-cam videos "God in Ancient China"). However, what he mainly is know for now is how he was arrested and convicted as being part of a group of church leaders who misused over $50 million of charity funds. That doesn't make his research nor any truth that God revealed through him about the Chinese language false. So whatever faults people find in Dr. Brown himself, that isn't what this video is discussing UNLESS those criticizing him find some error in the facts of his argument presented here. He could be the most distrustful person in the world, but this opening argument seen here is something worth looking into further. I believe enough 'substance' was provided to put up a good challenge to those who say Jesus Christ is not the Messiah.

I enjoyed hearing the message even as a Catholic. What made me realize the unblemish sacrifice is our Lord Jesus Christ. Also I realized that the mother of our Lord had to be unblemished herself without sin in order for a perfect sacrifice to take place. The incarnation of our Lord had to be sinless and holy from beginning to end.

@@trishe4816 I never take others interpretations as negative! Searching or studying the scripture can be easily or difficult depending on the context and the structure of the grammar. Generally speaking many teachings Christ or the even the Bible in itself can leave one confused or even bewildered in its interpretation. Many passages aren’t clear cut as we would like them to be! Like 1 Corinthians points out sometimes Christians need milk instead of hard food or some parables are meant for some not for others. You and I can probably share some common insights or experiences where one scripture read some period ago suddenly takes a new meaning when we read it again. The common phrase it jumps out at you! With regard to Mary, when as a southern baptist and wearing the “lenses “ I regarded Mary the mother of our Lord of no great spiritual significance. As time went suddenly Luke chapter one read over and over along, Genesis 3:15, John chapter 6, Revelation 12 and the prophecy of Jesus in Isaiah and other Old Testament books, I honestly could not overlook the significance of Mary and her role in bringing salvation throughout biblical history in the human and divine person of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul calls and associates Jesus Christ to several biblical figures like the second Adam, Moses or King David, etc. Typology is a method that most early Christians (mostly Jewish converts) used in their interpretations of certain key biblical figures since the New Testament wasn’t put together yet. When the apostle Paul speaks about scriptures he’s referring solely to the letters to the New Testament churches and the Christians existing in those communities. Without getting into a complete historical account of the early Church history or the early fathers who were disciples of the apostles. I recommend reading the early writings of the fathers and how they came in believing Mary was sinless, Mary as the new Ark or Mary as the Queen of Heaven. Even reading the early Protestant reformers like Luther, Calvin or others you fine a great parting of beliefs in what they believe about Mary and now! When you see and read in the eyes of the early Jewish Christian and read the discourse between the angel Gabriel and Mary and the discourse between her and her cousin Elizabeth you realize the importance of Mary’s sinless nature. There is a difference between an explanation and an assertion. Be prepared to be hit with 15 minutes worth of assertions and no explanations. Which makes sense because the book this man has faith in is filled to the brim with assertions and very light on explanations on how many of the assertions could even be possible other than by Magic.

Christians are the temple of God. He dwells in us. The physical temple was the type. We are the anti-type. God told David, “did I ask you to build me a house? I’m going to build YOU a house”. That house is the family of God…..and God dwells in us.
I think because the perspective has changed. It has gone from prophecy (future) to what the people who observed these things are saying after the event (past tense).
You know that's a good question. A lot of Isaiah's prophecies use the past tense. Most of them really. I'm guessing there's a good answer and I just don't know it yet. But what we do know is that Isaiah 53 was insanely accurate. Within the Dead Sea scrolls, a FULL copy of Isaiah was found that was well preserved and dated to around 200BC. It very closely matched the other Hebrew fragments we have and the text we all read today. Mainly it's just different word spellings. So regardless of the verb tense, we're either witnessing an amazingly accurate prophecy, or a one in a billion coincidence.

One of the major problems with you Christians is you won't read anything, including your own Bible. He may not have gone through the verses you cherry picked but he clearly and thoroughly explained there will be 2 comings of the messiah and 2 fulfillments as described in the Old Testament. The first coming was one of servitude and sacrifice and the second was of a conquering ruling king as dictated by the Jewish writings. Pay attention instead of trolling.

So your incorrect their. Daniel 12:2 is also end times as all will be raised up for judgement, but can also refer to Jesus’ resurrection. Isaiah 11:9,10 was fulfilled in Christ. And Isaiah 2:4 is also end times. The passages say literally right in the beginning “in the end or the latter part of days.” So you’re wrong on all counts and my original comment stands. Michael Brown’s material convinced me more than anything that Jesus “Impressively” fit the role of the prophesied Jewish Messiah, most specifically his video course Countering the Counter-Missionaries. Before that I just thought that Jesus fit the role of prophesied Messiah in a “Forced” way. I bought into all of those people who claim that they just penciled Jesus back into the OT, and in a sloppy way at that. I thought that all the so called prophecies were terribly vague.
The thing is, the course was quite long, and (at least for me) I NEEDED someone to meticulously build the case for it from the ground up, and needed someone with lots of expertise in that area. Because it required that amount of detail (for me at least) to dismantle the claims about everything being forced and taken out of context. A full picture had to be presented, which Brown did very well. Before his course, the quick proof texting types of arguments for Jesus as prophesied Messiah that I got from Christians did nothing for me (as far as me finding them to be convincing).
Brown is perfectly suited for the task too. Because the best people who can make the case are those who are extremely familiar with the objections from educated Hebrew speaking orthodox Jews, and this was Brown’s environment for decades.

Jews rejection was prophesied too. Your hard headiness is not a good thing. Daniel specifically tells you when Jesus would appear. The signing of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem by king Cyrus was exactly 483 years until messiah the prince(Jesus), Jeremiah speaks to this as well. There is still a seven year period coming to the world who has continued in its rejection of the messiah. 490 years total were given to Israel to make an end of sacrifice, and anoint the most high. The time of Jacob’s(Israel’s) trouble is fast approaching, 1/3 of Israel will be saved during this time. So will countless gentiles. The church age is almost done and the church (gentile bride) will be caught up. I don’t hate anyone, but I’m frustrated with people. It couldn’t be more clear who the messiah is, yet you want to say it’s sloppy, shame on you. Glad your saved. Now we need to continue trying to communicate who Jesus is.

I then said that for a very long time I bought into that critique, because I never heard a counter argument that I found to be convincing. I then said that Michael Brown’s course changed my perspective, NOW I am of the opinion that the critique of “Sloppiness” is not true anymore. Lol I don’t “Say” that it’s sloppy, I “Said” that it was sloppy years ago.

@@rofishy2 there isn't a 7 year period in the future. Time prophesies don't work that way. The end of the 69 weeks end at Jesus's baptism, he "confirms the covenant with many" during his ministry for one week, but in the middle gets cut off and his death ends the entire sacrificial system. The final 3.5 days refer to the disciples preaching the gospel in Jerusalem which culminates in Steven's stoning, the final rejection of Jerusalem of Jesus.

The thing the Jews always seemed to forget is that God told them they "... will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation" (Exodus 19:6). So they were not meant to be rulers of the world, they were to be the PRIESTS of the world. Big difference. part of the thing that tripped Jews up was that they were expecting Jesus to establish a physical kingdom on earth, they thought He'd kick out the Romans. Ironically, I think they mistook prophesy which is probably meant for later, the Millennial Reign, where Jesus will physically rule on the earth for 1000 years. So, that will happen after End Times and tribulation, but ppl didn't recognize Jesus would first come to deal with the sin issue. We can see it now due to having a larger zoomed out view of the gospel, but biblical prophesy is tricky bc we don't always know when it will happen.

@@kevinkelly2162 And? The NT itself constantly points this fact out. Even John the Baptist and his own Apostles didn’t understand, the apostles only did in retrospect after the resurrection. All Paul did was run around trying to make arguments that everything ties in together. There was NEVER a point in Jewish history leading up to Jesus where there was a consensus about what Messiah was actually gonna look like. It was always very disputed. So many people were totally baffled by the suffering servant passages, so much so that some believed there would have to be two Messiahs (one that suffers, and one that conquers).

Writing during the Babylonian exile, when there was NO Temple in Jerusalem (as both Solomon's magnificent Temple and the city had been destroyed by the Babylonians, in 586 B.C.), the prophet Daniel writes, in Daniel 9, making it certain that the Messiah MUST come AFTER and BEFORE several unthinkable things. The Angel Gabriel had revealed to Daniel, astoundingly, that not only would the Jews' exile in Babylon end (which it did, as previously prophesied by the Prophet Jeremiah - after 70 years), but they would be allowed to return from captivity to rebuild the (then destroyed / Solomon's) First Temple and Jerusalem (with both then lying in ruins). Further, Daniel, per Gabriel, foretells prophesies of an “anointed one” (which is what "Messiah" means) who would arrive some 490 years into the future, who would then be “cut off” (killed) after a certain period of time. And Daniel further relates that, AFTER those events, (and the Messiah has been cut off), THEN “a prince (a conquering warrior) who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." Shockingly, this was telling Daniel that not only would Israel's / Solomon's First Temple (then lying in ruins) be rebuilt (into her SECOND Temple), but only to be destroyed once again (which occurred some 600 years after the prophecy was given, by the Romans). Further, Gabriel prophesied that this future (Roman) destroyer prince would also “put an end to sacrifice and offering.” And these very things occurred in 70 A.D., as the Romans sacked Jerusalem and destroyed her second / rebuilt Temple (of Jesus’ time), thus ending Israel's sacrificial system and Temple worship. And Jesus, likewise, prophesied the Second / rebuilt Temple’s destruction, in John chapter 2.
So, for anyone who doubts that the Bible includes perfectly predictive prophecies, the above should take away any doubt. As Daniel prophesied, from Babylon, with much of Israel's Southern Kingdom of Judah in captivity and exile, these amazing - and perfectly and accurately-fulfilled events would (and DID) occur, with precise bookends for a VERY specific window in history for which Israel's prophesied Messiah MUST arrive and then die - between the rebuilding of the First Temple's ruins (into her Second Temple) and the later destruction of it. Daniel 9: " 25 Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks (NOTE: Each prophetic "week" is a 7-year period, so, 490 years in Daniel's future). Then for sixty-two weeks (years) it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off (the Messiah killed) and shall have nothing."
Just as Michael Brown notes in this video, anyone looking for a future Messiah other than Jesus does not believe these perfectly fulfilled and immensely unlikely Bible prophesies. As that prophetic window closed over 2,000 years ago - if not Jesus, what other candidate stepped forward? And what other candidate was able to perfectly fulfill so many ancient prophecies? As for Jesus' impact TODAY? He has more followers than of ANY other faith. The entire WORLD - including even nations with few or no Christians - marks time itself by dividing its timeline between history that took place before Jesus' birth and after it (BC / AD). In 2010, Time Magazine listed Jesus FIRST in its assessment of the 100 most influential figures in ALL human history - and this assessment wasn't even close. This obscure rabbi, born in the tiny, insignificant village of Bethlehem, rocked the world from the time of his birth! And even when but an infant, King Herod desperately sought His location, to kill him, perceiving the birth of Israel's Messiah King to be a grave threat to his own rule and status.
Daniel wasn't written during the exile. It was written in the 2nd century BCE.

Part 1/3 Great video. I know this a long essay of multiple parts but I NEED you to take a bit of time 10 min, 30 min whatever and read this. Study it, ponder it, pray about it. This ALL ties together. Sadly, most Christians including Dr. Brown in different areas don't understand the 2nd half of the story. The story of Eschatology. This essay is the story of Eschatology so we can understand what in the world is going on. Many Christians wonder why the Jewish people don't accept Jesus? BUT Paul warns us

They will be blinded by GOD UNTIL "the fullness of the Gentiles." And THEN all Israel will be saved.
Ezekiel 37:21-23 21 “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. 23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Notice the LORD says "they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again." Clearly even today we see the kingdom of Israel divided, and yet the LORD says one day it will NEVER be divided again. So there is still a plan and we as Christians MUST understand the plan.
Many Christians make the mistake that somehow GOD no longer owns Israel and Jerusalem. They think what is happening there today has no biblical connection, so they dismiss the fact there are Jews in Israel and Jerusalem as the Will of GOD.
GOD OWNS THE LAND AND JERUSALEM. Genesis 15:18 On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land,..." (Ownership) Leviticus 25:1-2 And the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give you,..." (Ownership) Verse 23 ‘The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me." ("The land is Mine"- Ownership) The word "Sojourners" means guest, visitor, someone who has no claim of ownership.

The question as Christians we need to ask ourselves isn't whether we agree with all of Israel's decisions or not. We need to ask "When did the LORD relinquish His claim of ownership over the Land of Israel and the City of Jerusalem?" Answer: NEVER
Jesus also foretold this. In Mark 11 Jesus curses the Fig Tree and it dies. The Fig Tree is the Jewish connection to the land of Israel. It would be as if Jesus was in America and cursed an eagle and it dropped from the sky. Not a good sign for the Jewish people. It told them that the prophecy in Jeremiah 8:13 was about to come to pass. Where the LORD was going to take every blessing away from them.

So the LORD cursed the Fig Tree and it died in 32AD then in 70 AD-135AD (103 years) the prophecy was fulfilled. The LORD took the Temple, Jerusalem, exiled them from the land, and allowed the Romans to rename the land to Palestine after Israel's archenemy the Philistines. And as Paul writes blinded them to the identity of the Messiah.
BUT in Mark 13 in connection to the LORD's return Jesus says: 28 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 29 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that He is near-at the doors! 30 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place."
This wasn't about the first century. The "generation" Jesus is speaking of is the generation that sees the Fig Tree BLOOM, not die. Who see the reversal of 70-135AD.
In 1948 Israel was reborn and the Jewish people began to return to Israel. The LORD has protected them countlessly from attacking nations since 1948, including 1967 where they were allowed to enter Jerusalem again and the Temple Mount. Some people ask how long is a generation? Well, Jesus tells us:
30 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away (or die off) till ALL these things take place."
So those who were born in 1948 will not all die off before we see ALL these things Jesus spoke about. In the first century, it took 103 years from the cursing of the Fig Tree in 32AD to the fulfillment in 135AD and people today live to 103 years old so why not watch and see if in this window ALL the things Jesus said would happen does happen??

To those who disagree: it would be good if you actually responded to Dr. Brown’s points rather than endeavoring to make your own. Failure to address them and engage shows inadequacy: it suggests that the best you can muster is to try to undermine what he’s saying by appealing to some other scripture that appears to indirectly invalidate his points. Such counter arguments, however, are profoundly unconvincing because the Bible appears to be full of contradiction, and yet we know this is not the case - Dr. Brown illustrates this well with the contrasting roles of Messiah.

I hear a lot of like and dislike for the man Dr. Michael Brown in the comments. I hate that about humanity: our faults overshadow moments where God chooses to speak truth through sinners. We all are sinners, but that doesn't mean that God doesn't reveal truth through some of the things that we say and do. Should we discredit all that God said and did through Moses just because Moses struck the rock and wasn't allowed in the Promise Land?
An extreme example on the opposite end of the spectrum: Reverend Kong Hee - of in whom I don't believe all teachings - provided a compelling argument on how many of the ancient Chinese language characters were designed around the God of the Christian Bible (you can find TH-cam videos "God in Ancient China"). However, what he mainly is know for now is how he was arrested and convicted as being part of a group of church leaders who misused over $50 million of charity funds. That doesn't make his research nor any truth that God revealed through him about the Chinese language false.
So whatever faults people find in Dr. Brown himself, that isn't what this video is discussing UNLESS those criticizing him find some error in the facts of his argument presented here. He could be the most distrustful person in the world, but this opening argument seen here is something worth looking into further. I believe enough 'substance' was provided to put up a good challenge to those who say Jesus Christ is not the Messiah.

I enjoyed hearing the message even as a Catholic. What made me realize the unblemish sacrifice is our Lord Jesus Christ. Also I realized that the mother of our Lord had to be unblemished herself without sin in order for a perfect sacrifice to take place. The incarnation of our Lord had to be sinless and holy from beginning to end.

@@trishe4816 I never take others interpretations as negative! Searching or studying the scripture can be easily or difficult depending on the context and the structure of the grammar. Generally speaking many teachings Christ or the even the Bible in itself can leave one confused or even bewildered in its interpretation. Many passages aren’t clear cut as we would like them to be! Like 1 Corinthians points out sometimes Christians need milk instead of hard food or some parables are meant for some not for others. You and I can probably share some common insights or experiences where one scripture read some period ago suddenly takes a new meaning when we read it again. The common phrase it jumps out at you! With regard to Mary, when as a southern baptist and wearing the “lenses “ I regarded Mary the mother of our Lord of no great spiritual significance. As time went suddenly Luke chapter one read over and over along, Genesis 3:15, John chapter 6, Revelation 12 and the prophecy of Jesus in Isaiah and other Old Testament books, I honestly could not overlook the significance of Mary and her role in bringing salvation throughout biblical history in the human and divine person of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul calls and associates Jesus Christ to several biblical figures like the second Adam, Moses or King David, etc. Typology is a method that most early Christians (mostly Jewish converts) used in their interpretations of certain key biblical figures since the New Testament wasn’t put together yet. When the apostle Paul speaks about scriptures he’s referring solely to the letters to the New Testament churches and the Christians existing in those communities. Without getting into a complete historical account of the early Church history or the early fathers who were disciples of the apostles. I recommend reading the early writings of the fathers and how they came in believing Mary was sinless, Mary as the new Ark or Mary as the Queen of Heaven. Even reading the early Protestant reformers like Luther, Calvin or others you fine a great parting of beliefs in what they believe about Mary and now! When you see and read in the eyes of the early Jewish Christian and read the discourse between the angel Gabriel and Mary and the discourse between her and her cousin Elizabeth you realize the importance of Mary’s sinless nature. Well the one thing we haven't seen in Israel is the literal rebuilding of the Temple yet. But we will soon. We know it's a literal rebuilding because Daniel (Daniel 7,8,9), Jesus (Matthew 24, Mark 13), Paul (2 thess 2:4), John (Rev 11:1-2, 13:3-7), all tell us it s literal building.
Early Christian writings.
Irenaeus (about 180 AD) wrote his 5 volume work called “Against Heresies” “In 2 Thessalonians, the ‘falling away’ is an apostasy and there will be a literal rebuilt temple. In Matthew, the ‘abomination spoken by Daniel’ is the Antichrist sitting in the temple as if he were Christ. The abomination will start in the middle of Daniel’s 70th week and last for a literal three years and six months. The little horn is the Antichrist. Against Heresies 5.25
Hippolytus (170-235AD): On the End of the World A Discourse by the Most Blessed Hippolytus, Bishop and Martyr, on the End of the World, and on Antichrist, and on the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. So the rebuilding of the 3rd Temple will be a massive sign the world has entered into the final 7 years before Jesus returns. Do I know exactly when this will happen? No. But it will be soon.
Will we ever know the exact Day or Hour of Jesus's return? No. Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
And when you understand this verse, you will know why we will not know the exact day or hour. But the LORD has gone to great lengths to get us to understand when it's as close as we can get.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11. We're supposed to know. Jesus in Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
The assumption many Christians make is that Eschatology is about us. It isn't. We already believe. This story is about how the LORD will get the world to believe in Him.
When Jesus is asked what will be the signs of your coming and the end of the age. (end of the age of the dominion of mankind, which ends when Jesus returns. then a new age will begin where we His Children inherit the earth as He reigns).
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
Does Jesus give a date? No. We're supposed to already know the date (approx) 2032-2050 AD.

Are we as Christians going to be deceived by false Messiahs? No. Who will? Everyone else.
The world is looking for a savior. the Muslims are looking for their "Messiah" and the Jews are looking for theirs. Now since Scripture is about the Jews and their story, let's focus on them.
For 3000 years the Jews have waited for their Messiah to come. When Jesus came they missed Him. They missed Him because they had an image of a king, a leader, someone who would ride in and save the day and save them from their earthly enemies. He would usher in a time of peace and prosperity in the world and the era of the Jewish reign. AND they are still waiting.

There is a difference between an explanation and an assertion. Be prepared to be hit with 15 minutes worth of assertions and no explanations. Which makes sense because the book this man has faith in is filled to the brim with assertions and very light on explanations on how many of the assertions could even be possible other than by Magic.

Jesus is the only one who fulfilled or came to pass in Him in Isaiah 52:13-Isaiah 53, Psalm 22 and many others. If not Jesus then no one fulfilled it since it would’ve had to have happened before the 2nd Tmeple’s destruction. We await for Jesus to fulfill the end time prophecies about the Messiah!

“Messiah” comes from Hebrew and “Christ” comes from the Greek word “Christos”. Both Messiah and Christ mean “The Anointed One”.

Christians are the temple of God. He dwells in us. The physical temple was the type. We are the anti-type. God told David, “did I ask you to build me a house? I’m going to build YOU a house”. That house is the family of God…..and God dwells in us.
Only the issue I have with Isaiah 53, every verb is in the past tense. Why not in future? Specially Jesus came after 600 to 700 years later.
I think because the perspective has changed. It has gone from prophecy (future) to what the people who observed these things are saying after the event (past tense).
You know that's a good question. A lot of Isaiah's prophecies use the past tense. Most of them really. I'm guessing there's a good answer and I just don't know it yet. But what we do know is that Isaiah 53 was insanely accurate. Within the Dead Sea scrolls, a FULL copy of Isaiah was found that was well preserved and dated to around 200BC. It very closely matched the other Hebrew fragments we have and the text we all read today. Mainly it's just different word spellings. So regardless of the verb tense, we're either witnessing an amazingly accurate prophecy, or a one in a billion coincidence.
