Nice job as usual fellas..really like the fact you do the men with all the character i almost enjoy them more than the female models because they can bring more character to a shoot. Keep up the good work.
This is great stuff! Fun to watch! But i must say... when you showed the pictures around 06:47 i am immediately drawn to his hands instead of his face. They look huge imo. Other then that, great content!
thanks for the effort and the sharing. nice to see men portraits since i shoot business execs so this is helpful. can you share nick's last name? he did a very good job and is worth the props. thumbs up.
As a non native speaker (listener) I understand every word from Joe. But Daniel: could you please speak slower and more pronounced so that your international audience gets what you're telling. Thanks from Hamburg
Joe McNally is a very good photographer but I don't understand why one would shoot tight portraits in horizontal mode? You've thrown away half your sensor resolution and tossed half the frame you crop away. I notice many of the 'headshot' photographers constantly photographing this way. Perhaps they began using a camera in landscape mode and never break the habit. I'm not speaking of McNally, of course.
Great series! Nice to see the two of you working again together... and having fun!
Love the Character Portraits series and love you two together!
I love the rapport you guys have with each other.
Wonderful images, as always, and an absolute pleasure to watch.
beautiful male face, beautiful portraits - these lighting styles shown here are my favourites, I like this kind of "drama"
Outstanding images. Excellent video guys.
Always fun to see you two together. (Nick was great, of course.) Thanks!
What is the full name of the actor Nick? We would like to connect to offer him a part.
Great tip using the scrim across the top of the gridded main light.
The two of you Rock!
That’s Godfather lighting. An offer I can’t refuse.
Thank you both. Very interesting.
you two guys are something! :) Keep on uploading new videos!

Love you guys - and what an informative vid. But what you called Goodfellas lighting is actually Godfather - gotta give Gordon Willis his due

Brilliant
Great combo JM and DN

A d850 has more than enough megapixels for a vertical crop
