Thanks for the video. We know Casey Key very well. Actually looks much better than we feared. Most of those homes south of the bridge are pretty fortified against hurricanes. Power lines also looked to be intact. Those palm trees are tough.

lots of sand and flooding invaded but otherwise sound homes.

The recent video was striking, highlighting the potential for even greater damage from the hurricane. Fortunately, it moved quickly and weakened, sparing Sarasota County residents from more severe impacts. Many may have believed that local lore or blessings offered protection against major hurricanes, but the reality is different.
Unfortunately, Casey Key is a narrow strip of land, and no amount of money can truly shield it from the relentless forces of nature. Ongoing erosion is a significant issue, exacerbated by rock and concrete barriers designed to protect homes. While these measures aim to safeguard properties, they often contribute to further erosion, Also, beach nourishment not an option.. it will be gone in year or two.

Honestly we got very lucky. The storm sucked in dry air before it hit making it much weaker. It could have been so much worse.

A man slaughtered a big cow, lit the grill and said to his daughter.
“Daughter, call our relatives, friends, and neighbours to eat with us... let us feast!"
His daughter took to the street and started shouting.
“Please help us put out a fire at my Dad's house!".
After a few moments, a small group of people came out and the rest acted like they didn't hear the cry for help.
Those who came ate and drank until late.
The stunned father turned to his daughter and said to her.
“The people who came I barely know them, some I had never seen them before, so where are our relatives, friends, and neighbours ?".
    The daughter said.
“Those who came out of their homes came to help us put out a fire in our house and not for the party.
These are the ones who deserve our generosity and hospitality".
    Conclusion:
Those who don’t help you during your struggle, shouldn’t eat with you at your victory party!!

Thank you for showing what needs to be seen. Not just a bunch of people in a car talking as they drive around the damage.

Well, drones cost over $2,000 dollars or more, and not every one with a youtube channel can afford drones like this, so they have to grow their channel the best way they can, if that means just driving around in a car taking video, then that's fine with me. I want a drone for my channel but can't afford that kind of money. Lesson here is think before you speak.

Why does everyone keep showing trailer parks? Why would anyone live in a trailer in hurricane prone Florida???

If you live in a trailer home in Florida you can’t afford to retire. Move back up north and get back to work.

Manufactured homes. Dumbest thing on the planet to have in Florida! Should be against the law.
