cnet.co/1hCWemy The Xbox One Media Remote is a must-have accessory that makes it much easier to accept a gaming console as the hub of your living room.
I've had this remote since the day it came out, and it really is super useful for all the reasons he mentions. I have one major gripe though, it does absolutely nothing in the TH-cam app. Netflix, cable, everything else seems to work great. However the TH-cam app totally ignores the remote except for the volume button. I would like to see this fixed in a future update
You know Google and Microsoft are in a fight now , so don't hold your breath for that update anytime soon (google doesn't even want to publish it apps on WP 8)
It will work if you use your controller first then switch back to the remote. It's pretty weird and annoying, but it does work if you do it this way. Hopefully an update will fix this problem.
No volume control in Apple TV, Ruko, Amazon fire tv, xbox 360 remote, ps3 remote... This is the first time someone does it, wow, I returned my xb1 but now seems i'm compelled.
i like how he was surprised that Microsoft made this remote, they've had a remote for the original Xbox and the 360. So why would Microsoft not make this remote?
how do you change channels quickly. Like for exampled I wanted to go from ESPN to Food network channel can I type in channel numbers do I have scroll through the list on one guide??
A must is a simplier Xbox One instead of the MORON that set it up. Horrible. The 360 was much better. How about Voice Messages as well one day? Only had that around 10 years ago!!!!! If you need a remote it sucks. Sorry Mr. Softy

IR is much preferred than WiFi direct or Bluetooth, why would anyone not agree? o.O

Well xbox one is admittedly quite IR heavy. So it makes sense that the controller is IR, its cheap, low power, and is proven tech to work.
do you need to somehow sync this with your soundbar or amp to use volume control or is it automatic?
looks pretty nice, now make it work with XBMC
When the Xbox1 first came out i was ready to pull the trigger and purchase one but now i might just wait till a refresh or update comes out.
I'm surprised it actually looks like its worth $25 especially the backlit buttons.
You have to point it to the xbox. That's a con.

Because it defeats part of the original purpose of the Kinect.
because it does volume control

+DamuEmran i believe you can type channel numbers
Dang 5 years ago
Unbundle kinect, bundle the xbox one with this and cut the price too $375.
MY SOUND DOESNT WORK
This is great
chill on the mouth sound effects.
finally!
Wow.... I bet the controller is better than both remote AND Kinect. Lol. Fail, just one big titan fail.
Cordless phone
i thought this is what the kinect was for??????
The Kinect does voice and gesture....and recognises you for signing in. You can use the joypad too. This just gives you more choice.
Ken Heslip Not true. The Kinect does facial recognition to sign you in. So...
Ken Heslip Ignore my comment. I misread. Sorry.
