Over the last few months we haven't managed to get much completed inside the house but we have completely transformed the garden! Bit of a longer one than usual, thanks for watching 😊
Only discovered your videos a few days ago, I've watched most of them. My husband daughter and I moved here Nov 2020. Youre both an inpiration. Love Bulgaria!
I have to admit you are both doing a fantastic job with the house. When you mentioned the main entrance being shut and made as a balcony, this is a very Bulgarian thing. As a Bulgarian living in the UK, I miss having my balcony in my house because it's lovely in summer after 19ish to sit down and enjoy the good weather with friends for a drink.
We see a lot of balconys around the village with the same design, so can completely agree there! It was a shame to take down the small existing one that we had but as it was pulling away from it's foundations and damaging the house it had to go. But we can't wait to build the new one, especially being private for the "sleeping" quarters of the house ☺️
I’m a newbie to your channel but great work from what I’ve watched and brilliant to see you learning new lifelong skills. I love Bulgaria, I did it the easy way and bought an off plan apartment in Sozopol back in 2006. Good luck and keep the updates coming
What a beautiful home you have! You've really made it so gorgeous. Also nice to hear another northerner making the move to BG! We look forward to seeing more progress and thanks for being such a big inspiration 💜
You're totally right, although it looks it in the video, there is actually cover above it partially blocking most of the air flow. We used two rectangular insulation boards to cover it, but as you would agree, until it's sorted properly we'll always have some vulnerabilities, thanks for your advice though!
Very good of you to post another house tour. It is understandable that you must first spend some more time in a house before you figure out exactly how you will use the space. I like your idea of remodelling the two rooms adjacent to the kitchen into one continuous space geared for hospitality. I hope to see you fill it up with lots of people when you celebrate the end of the renovations. How long have you given yourselves to complete the interiors until?
Thanks so much, we're hoping to have maybe 3 more years max to have the main transforms and Renovating done, then probably just the last cosmetics to do. So quite a while yet haha It would be really cool to be able to cater for guests, we can't wait 😅
It's funny to see the same Mexican pine furniture i have here in Sweden also there with you in Bulgaria, did you bring over flat pack from the U.K like i did?
Yeah haha! We bought in our flat in Leeds 😂 surpassingly didn't get damaged by the courier we got lucky ☺️ and yes there was one screw left when we built it back up for some reason 😂😂
@@MarkandAnisha that's a great idea! I'm looking forward to the video. Consider speaking a couple of sentences to show the audience that you're serious :-)
@@MarkandAnisha you'll see Bulgarian and English have much more in common grammar-wise than most people think. If you have learned some French in school, Bulgarian grammar would be really easy for you as it's the Slavic language without grammatical cases but with more complex verb and tense system.
Brave hardworking , good people! Congratulations!
Thanks so much 🙏
Nice to see younger people coming from the UK to build a life here in Bulgaria. Good luck to you both.
Thanks for that! 😅
Damn...you got your work set for you for a decent time in the future. At least the life won't ever be boring. :D

We'd love to hear how you're getting on and your story, do you have Facebook or inst where we can find you and stay in touch?
Only Facebook under my name. I haven't posted how we're getting on with our house or garden......yet. but will do once things start to happen
@@susannicholson9899 Well we wish you the best of luck with everything anyway ☺️👍
Thank you. We like everything you've done with your house and garden so far 😃

Thanks for that, it means the world to us, nice choice of place, haha as you'd agree, it's never really easy going here haha welcome to our journey 😅😁
best video yet. great info, well done, much better sound quality, all the best
You have done really well
Good luck on the rest xx
Thank you so much 🥰
Very good work with the house! Good luck
I watched this in May 2024.. hope I see a different house and garden now..
We're no longer living in Bulgaria at the moment. We have the latest house tour on our channel homepage to see the progress we made 😆

You're making us blush 😉🥰 Thanks so much for the kind words, it really warms our heart when people understand our journey and share the vision 😅
Seems to me you cover the loft hatch with a bit of cardboard or newspaper taped to the ceiling. It would reduced the air movement

It might be a good idea to leave the fridge and freezer doors ajar now that you're not using them so they don't get mouldy or start smelling funny🙂
Thanks for reminding us! You're totally right ☺️
The house is looking really good! Its nice to see your progress through the videos. Keep up the good work guys 😃
Thanks 😊👍
Your getting on so well keep up good work and keep the video coming 👍
Thanks David, will do 😊
When are you coming back to Bulgaria? You are missed.

Suoer update, thanks! Do you guys have a plan to learn Bulgarian?
Cheers! Yes, we're actually on with creating a video about what we've learned, how we deal with the language barrier and our techniques 😅
