  • The Best pressure washer tool for a deck is different than for concrete or heavy equipment. Some attachments will scar and damage wood surfaces-doing more harm than good. Today we will demonstrate that on my wood deck and show the best tools to use for each surface.

I'm not sure there's enough room on here for me to comment on all of that. First, I've worked for a franchise here for 9+ years. They've been in this business for 32 years. Our main corporation has been in business for 52.

I NEVER attempt to start my washer without the water on and running through the pump.

Water broom should be used as an easy way to wash away the dirt after you use the surface cleaner

It's not called a power scrubber, it's called a surface cleaner. If you Google both you'll see the difference.

Make sure when getting a surface cleaner to get one that has bearings for the spinning arm. Some of the older ones going back 2-3 years, and some of the cheaper ones use brass bushings instead of bearings and they can easily get chewed up quickly. I dodnt know thay when I got mine. It has bushings and works well, but I have to pull it apart and regrease it after every use or it will stop spinning.

Things that weren't discussed in this video, make sure your nozzles GPM match your pressure washer or at least have the nozzles gpm rated slightly higher than the pressure washer puts out this includes surface cleaners. Any smaller and your putting extra stress on the pump and unloader valve.

As as homeowner, I’m thinking to get the STIHL RB 400. It has 2700 non variable PSI and 2.7 GPM. Far as I can tell, 2700/2.7 is all I’ll need for residential use. So, just hope the engine, pump & features will live up to the STIHL name.

I love ya’lls videos! Not to be a downer or keyboard warrior, but I just wanted to chime in... none of this stuff is what the pros use! This is all consumer level (but easy and cheap to obtain) garbage. Any professional mobile contracting company will QUICKLY evolve beyond the use of these particular tools, if they’re doing any kind of commercial or industrial volume... Would be happy to share our expertise anytime, equipment profiles, tactics, tricks of the trade, etc. anytime! Pressure washing and industrial contract cleaning is all that we do, and we specialize in waste water capture and reclamation, which is pretty much a universal requirement now. ☺️

Gpm is for more important than PSI and its no good having a large GPM machine if your water supply cant deliver.

Personally I just use the power scrubber for most of my heavy lifting and use the power broom to rinse everything off I do really like to use the 25 degrees on the edges to clean up everywhere I missed with the scrubber

I have a Stihl RB600 and I put a pressure gauge on my line...so you say to turn the pressure down on your RB800, do you know what pressure you actually used that worked on the deck. Every PW is different so when do you know when you got?
