    As a pressure cleaning contractor I just want to point out that when you do a very inconsistent job with a surface cleaner and you overlap a lot on one area of concrete and don’t overlap the same amount on the entire driveway you will get a very streaky and patchy driveway in a couple of months maybe less. Some overlap is necessary on every job and you will get some striping no matter what but keeping it to a minimum and doing the same amount of passes on all the concrete will minimize the striping.

    To fix the K.A.RCHER Head, run a 1” sheetrock screw through the plastic nut all the way through the other side. It will not come loose after that. Hands down the best surface cleaner! Purchased last year with pressure washer upon your recommendation. Amazing!

    I purchased(online)the Simpson 3125 MegaShot, extended 31" wand and the Karcher surface cleaner and received them from Home Depot 4/21/21, used them on 4/22/21 for several hours and returned the Karcher to HD 4/23/21. The unit basically became unusable due to the 2 large plastic nuts on each side of the unit. They constantly came loose resulting in a useless vibrating disk unpleasant to use, finally the nuts could not be tightened any further and the spinning of the unit rendered it as useless and annoying. Bad experience, will research other surface cleaners for possible purchase. Very disappointed with Karcher but like the Simpson 3125.

    Just started my pressure washer adventure and want to add comments about chemicals. I had a driveway that was sitting under a large tree had lots of deep mold and algae and I had very good results using vinegar and lemon juice as the agents instead of man made chemicals, works like a charm try it first before buying. Also dawn dish soap and borax made in to a paste is very effective for oil stain removal. Great channel hope to see more. Any experience with pohl brand pressure washers or accessories? I have their surface cleaner and it seems very durable caneceith extension etc.

    If you can't find those short hose connectors I use copper quick-connects. The male on both hoses and on my pressure washer and all of my sprayers and nozzles I have a female. So easy cause you are right about hot exhaust.

    Super great videos! :)
    I just purchased a Simpson PS-3228-S. I unpacked it, set it up and started washing my backyard.
    Question: The Simpson PS-3228-S as you know has an adjustable throttle. When I push it to full the engine starts to pulsate, speeds up and bogs down over and over very fast, and the unit starts to bounce and thinks about walking. If I ease off the throttle by 20% it smooths out. I allow it to warm up at a lower RPM, then speed it up to start power washing. What do you think is causing this and how can I fix it so I can run the PS-3228-S at full throttle?
    I'm using Shell unleaded 91 Octane, and Sta-Bil 360 fuel stabilizer.
    Thank you! :)

However even after pressure washing it the walkway which is about 14 feet by 4 is still Orange could this be that that's just the color of the concrete they used for the walkway I can't get it to turn white at all, only gets little better, Even though you said not to use any type of chemicals I've tried pool chlorine, Ox White, even muriatic acid and still it's orange any help would be great

    Great stuff, I have a question about how long I can pause my pressure washer, I have a brand new Generac 3200 PSI and it works great. My question is when I am working along and I need to pause and I release the trigger to say move something my engine starts to struggle so I immediately squeeze the trigger and do my chore with the triggered squeezed worrying about the engine. I have great pressure but when that trigger is not squeezed it runs rough. How long can I not be pulling the trigger and what the engine is doing when water is on at the faucet but not coming out of the wand. Thanks.

    I disagree with the mold comments. Living in Houston, mold permeates every thing and there is a huge difference in the time required between washings if you don't follow up with bleach.. You have to kill the mold down in the concrete not just knock to tops off. I can go 2 times the normal duration between cleanings if I follow up with bleach.

    • @HowTowithDoc
      @HowTowithDoc  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just do some research.... bleach is gone within hours..... Millions of new mold spores are deposited every day. Take away the FOOD and you delay it. Their food is "DIRT". texashelp.tamu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/E332-mold-an-indoor-air-pollutant.pdf

    How do you apply the 30 seconds cleaner? The instructions says 1:1 ratio, then you need a pump sprayer going on the ladder. If you use the soap Injection hose on power washer, that’s about 10:1 and it’s too weak.

    I saw your video about protecting the water system, when cleaning driveways and paths when water plus chemicals would get in the drainage system.
    In continental Europe we have a strict law, about the materials of your driveway. It must let water get through to the ground to avoid erosion and floods. As well we cannot use detergents or chemical of any kind to clean it, just water, cold or hot.
    I know that in the US build concrete driveways are cheap but it comes to a huge costs for nature.
    The new laws here have change the tax system, because too many people would almost close the entire garten with concrete or asphalt. Now you pay more taxes on your property if you don’t use materials, that allows water to get through. It means that you have to use permeable materials or leave large cracks between tiles.

  • @jonathana7019

    Surface cleaners function based on the GPM (Gallons Per Minute). Best to size the surface cleaner to the machine based off of this. The psi is not what to base the cleaning capabilities on, more volume (GPM) equals better cleaning power. But whatever gets the job done, if your happy, that’s what matters.

    • @ojames1983
      @ojames1983 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      False, the PSI is the most important factor and pressures the dirt off, literally. Go dump a swimming pool of water on concrete and it does nothing by itself, it's all about the pressure at that point and a combination of water flow for cleaning something. Cleaning Units (CU) is the result of multiplying the PSI by the GPM if you want to get technical though. Just saying. LOL

    Do you have a video about power washing paver driveways? I've searched for a video by you about power washing paver driveways, and haven't found it.
    Thanks for your recommended power washer and accessories to buy. I'm going to order them soon, so I can clean my paver driveway, before the HOA sends me a notice that I have to power wash my driveway.

    Just came across this. Great video. I subscribed but think a lot more questions should have been answered but understand the video is a little old.
