The girls drop by and help Doc pressure wash his concrete driveway using two pressure washers and various surface cleaners. Concrete driveways are easy to clean as long as you have the right equipment and that equipment is properly matched.
When you clean your concrete driveway the use of chemicals is not needed. Just the power of water via these powerwashers is really all you need. The surface cleaners reduce labor time by up to 50% and reduce over-spray.

As a pressure cleaning contractor I just want to point out that when you do a very inconsistent job with a surface cleaner and you overlap a lot on one area of concrete and don’t overlap the same amount on the entire driveway you will get a very streaky and patchy driveway in a couple of months maybe less. Some overlap is necessary on every job and you will get some striping no matter what but keeping it to a minimum and doing the same amount of passes on all the concrete will minimize the striping.

To fix the K.A.RCHER Head, run a 1” sheetrock screw through the plastic nut all the way through the other side. It will not come loose after that. Hands down the best surface cleaner! Purchased last year with pressure washer upon your recommendation. Amazing!

Your recommended "beefier" pressure washer is nearly identical to my DeWalt pressure washer (same Honda engine, slightly different AAA pump). On your Simpson surface washer, it can be disassembled and a steel or brass flat washer added to make it rotate smoother. Good Review. Thanks.....

You sound impressed that after 2 years it starts easy and runs well. What is the real longevity with these machines? I have a Troy-Bilt 6.75 hp Briggs-Straton engine that is 2750psi and 2.3 gpm that is 13 years old and it gets used a few times a year to clean my very large driveway, 2 levels of decking, a sidewalk, and rear porch. I also use it for washing cars a few times a year. I estimate 24-30 hours of run time per year. It starts on the first pull almost every time. I don't expect it to die any time soon. So why is 2 years considered so impressive now? Are they built much more poorly than they were 15 years ago? Great videos Doc!

    Super great videos! :)
I just purchased a Simpson PS-3228-S. I unpacked it, set it up and started washing my backyard.
Question: The Simpson PS-3228-S as you know has an adjustable throttle. When I push it to full the engine starts to pulsate, speeds up and bogs down over and over very fast, and the unit starts to bounce and thinks about walking. If I ease off the throttle by 20% it smooths out. I allow it to warm up at a lower RPM, then speed it up to start power washing. What do you think is causing this and how can I fix it so I can run the PS-3228-S at full throttle?
I'm using Shell unleaded 91 Octane, and Sta-Bil 360 fuel stabilizer.
    Thank you! :)

Just started my pressure washer adventure and want to add comments about chemicals. I had a driveway that was sitting under a large tree had lots of deep mold and algae and I had very good results using vinegar and lemon juice as the agents instead of man made chemicals, works like a charm try it first before buying. Also dawn dish soap and borax made in to a paste is very effective for oil stain removal. Great channel hope to see more. Any experience with pohl brand pressure washers or accessories? I have their surface cleaner and it seems very durable caneceith extension etc.

I purchased(online)the Simpson 3125 MegaShot, extended 31" wand and the Karcher surface cleaner and received them from Home Depot 4/21/21, used them on 4/22/21 for several hours and returned the Karcher to HD 4/23/21. The unit basically became unusable due to the 2 large plastic nuts on each side of the unit. They constantly came loose resulting in a useless vibrating disk unpleasant to use, finally the nuts could not be tightened any further and the spinning of the unit rendered it as useless and annoying. Bad experience, will research other surface cleaners for possible purchase. Very disappointed with Karcher but like the Simpson 3125.

However even after pressure washing it the walkway which is about 14 feet by 4 is still Orange could this be that that's just the color of the concrete they used for the walkway I can't get it to turn white at all, only gets little better, Even though you said not to use any type of chemicals I've tried pool chlorine, Ox White, even muriatic acid and still it's orange any help would be great

How do you apply the 30 seconds cleaner? The instructions says 1:1 ratio, then you need a pump sprayer going on the ladder. If you use the soap Injection hose on power washer, that’s about 10:1 and it’s too weak.
