I had to come back to share my experience with these English muffins. I decided to cut the recipe in half because I'm cooking for one. I used one cup of flour and 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt. It looked like a lot of flour in the bowl so I decided to sift it. It came to 1 1/2 cups of flour so I'm glad I sifted. I removed the extra half cup of flour and added an extra tablespoon of yogurt. After 7 minutes on low my muffins weren't showing much progress. I turned the heat to 3 and had to cook them for 20 minutes on each side. To quote Pam..... Oh my goodness! These were delicious! I'll never buy commercially made English muffins again.
I’m with Trish, been cooking for many many years & I still am learning from you. I’m going to make these simple muffins…I’ll eat with butter & jelly…any kind…strawberry, elderberry or apricot….can’t wait to try them
😮 I am 74 been cooking for years...made these for brunch, everyone went wild. They are now on my menu. These are easy, quick and delicious, fool, proof recipe. If you're delicate with the dough..❤
I saw a knife on your counter, right before you said you were going to open the muffin. Just a tip: the traditional "nooks and crannies" of an English muffin are created by inserting a Fork into the side at various points and wiggling the two halves of the muffin apart. Voila! Nooks and crannies to hold your toppings of choice. "And there you have it!" ❤
Miss Pam, love your cooking. Reminds me of being kid 50 years ago and there was always bowl of biscuits on table to get for a snack. You are very nice, sweet, polite. Soft spoken lady, when ladies were ladies, you are a real joy to watch, listen to, and learn from. THANK YOU!!!!!!
This English muffin recipe is LEGIT!!!!! I made these right after watching this video. Oh my word! I made that first batch & had to stop myself from eating a third one. My family LOVES them!!!! I had to make this recipe 4 times within a few days. We’ll never eat any other English muffin. Thanks for the simple, delicious recipe and video!!!!
I use the same recipe to make bagel. I just bake them 350 degrees for 20 minutes instead of on the stove and add everything bagel seasoning to the top before cooking
This is such a great and quick recipe! I never knew you could make English muffins at home, and with no yeast! Awesome! This would even be great for the mornings you wake up and the kids holler, “Mom, we’re out bread! lol.
As an English native I have to say they look delicious!! I eat mine toasted with butter, scrambled eggs and bacon. Or just toasted with butter and a good o’ll cup of tea ❤
Hey Pam! I love your channel. I’ve started cooking from scratch ever since I found you and restarted my garden!Keep cooking like you are and helping us save money from not going to the grocery store!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree and it’s much healthier as well. You cut out a lot of the processing, additives and preservatives that are included in many store bought food items.
I have been making from scratch English muffins for months now. Absolutely will never buy them again! There is no comparison!!! I have also been making bread . Haven’t bought bread for about 6 months. Love your videos Pam!
I tried this and they came out amazing, my daughter-in-law didn't believe it, I had you on the video and I did it step by step watching you and one thing is very important do not leave that skillet at all I like that the first time but I did another batch and it came out perfect you just have to have patience and stand there and do as you told us to do thank you so much I'm 68 years old and I don't get in the kitchen much but I really wanted to try this because I just had a taste for some muffins English muffins and I would never buy any in the store anymore love your content love you you are amazing and I love your smile thank you so much you are great❤🙏
I just made these this morning and they are delicious. I’ve always hated store-bought English muffins, but this homemade one is far better than the ones from the store. Thank you aunty Pam for this recipe. God bless you your hard.
Ms. Pam, those English muffins look absolutely delicious. I could *almost* smell them through the screen. 😂Thanks for making our favorites easy enough for just about anyone to try!
Pam, for lunches, I separate the top and bottom bun of an English muffin, a pair for each person I am feeding.) LOL, I do make a bunch just for me!) and set on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. I spread a tablespoon of tomato paste and remove extra sauce, to prevent the little pizzas from getting soggy. place any combination of sliced mushroom, and / or pepperoni slices. I cover the toppings with a generous amount of shredded cheese (mozzarella si my choice) and slide cookie tray) I make about a dozen of these and broil high unti cheese melts but does not brown. I have used flaked oregano and other Italian spies to flavor my muffin pizza. Such an easy lunch for any age. Pam, this is the first time I got to enjoy your cooking expertise and your warm personality and the love you pass on to the viewer is so heartwarming. I love your smile, laughter and enthusiasm in the kitchen. As a retired teacher I appreciate the detailed and caring instructions you provide for our cooking success. You are a great Chef. I cannot wait to make English Muffins from scratch. John from Brighton Michigan. ❤
Thanks for the delicious video! I'm in my mid sixties and first tried plain yogurt about a couple of years ago. I had been looking healthier alternatives to cheese for decades. I finally read somewhere that plain yogurt tastes a lot like cheese, but is healthier. Well the article was correct. Plain yogurt tastes a lot like cream cheese. Wish I had tried it decades ago, but at least I can enjoy it now. Yesterday I even added some when I was making mashed potatoes. I learned to cook when young by watching my mother. Both of my parents were sort of matter of fact about cooking, so my siblings and I were comfortable with trying to make foods ourselves. None of us ever became a gourmet cook, but we are all at ease in the kitchen, so we are all able to make our own food. Pam, between your own ease in the kitchen, your knowledge of the subject, and your friendly manner, you are a big help to both old and new cooks.👩🏿🍳👍👏🥇🏆🤗💐
Made these yesterday, they came out great! I used plain kefir and added baking powder and salt to regular flour. Thanks, Pam! Saves money now I don’t need to buy English muffins!
My husband and I LOVE English muffins! Thank you so very much for this video, Pam. I can't wait to make these! It costs so much for packaged muffins and they're full of nasty ingredients, so I'm more than happy to make my own. I always have self-rising flour and yogurt/Green yogurt on hand because there is also a pizza crust recipe I make that uses just these two ingredients! If you or anyone else is interested, here's the simple recipe: 1-1/2 cups self-rising flour, 1 cup plain Greek yogurt. (NOTE: this makes one 12-14 inch pizza). Mix well, let rise for 15 minutes then roll out (I personally press it out onto a pizza pan). Bake for 5-8 minutes at 400 degrees, then remove and add toppings. Bake another 15-20 minutes. Anyway, I will try your recipe in a day or two. Thanks again for your awesome videos and delicious recipes!
These were delicious! I had to make my own self-rising flour, using your recipe on another video. I also used a half cup of whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour. I used one container of Greek yogurt, and since Greek yogurt is thicker than regular yogurt, and it was only 6 oz, I added a little bit of whole milk to make the dough. It came out fine!
Thanks Pam. Nothing like a English muffins slathered with butter. I'm running out of bread but I have these ingredients and I'll be making them tomorrow morning. Yippee 😋
My favorite thing to make with English muffins is Eggs Benedict. But also could make a home version of a McMuffin, or just butter and jam. These look delicious! ♥️
I just found you yesterday Mrs. Pam. I tried these and they were great. I didn't have yogurt so I used 1/2 plain kefir and 1/2 sour cream and it worked and was tasty. I'll try it with yogurt sometime. You are delightful to watch. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. The Lord bless your labors!
You have out done yourself, Chef Pam! They do look delicious!!!! Thank you for all the amazing recipes and tips!!! I made that oil free fried chicken a few weeks back and it was fantastic! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤
I'm so happy that you shared this recipe of English Muffins! I love, love, love English Muffins😋 I shop at Walmart and I refuse to pay $4-5 for a pack of English Muffins. So, when they have the $1.50 pack, I buy whatever is there. Pay cheap, get cheap! They aren't pre-sliced either. But, I slice and toast them. Then, add butter and Jelly. Sometimes, I add a smidgen of peanut butter. Your pepper jelly sounds incredible!!! BTW, those store bought English Muffins are dry, hard, and stale tasting. 😮 So, I can hardly wait to go to the store and buy my 2 ingredients so that I can make my own fresh, homemade English Muffins 😋 I love watching your videos!!! Keep up the great work 👍 God bless y'all🙌❤🙏
I definitely have to try this. I would never had thought about making english muffins. You are a wealth of knowledge. And you're saying 'if the creek dont rise' my husband would say that too. God Bless
Man this channel is the truth it's not only educational but it's teaching you survival skills too???? Wow!! 2 ingredients I mean who don't have flour and yogurt laying around 🤷🏽♀️👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾
This is such a handy recipe. Thank you. We usually toast our muffins here in the U.K. and I imagine that your recipe would be delicious toasted, buttered and jammied right up! Blackcurrant jam for me. 😉 Take care. From Hilly in Norfolk, U.K. X
These are absolutely wonderful (especially with butter and my homemade apple butter! I had to use my yogurt up today so I made 2 batches. I hope the finished product freezes well!
Love English muffins. Ty for sharing I will have to try these. Watch lots of your videos love your personality. God bless you and your family. New subscriber.
I LOVE THIS, good job Sister!! Im First Nations Australian Woman, we got something veiclese to this, we call it Pan Damper. You can make em on a fire outside. Proper good delicious survival food!! Hooray for the muffins!!!
@jago4673 It's what I refer to as a "Quick Jam" = 9 tangerines peeled, the inner membranes & seeds removed, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 TBLS honey, 1/2 tsp lemon juice, small pinch salt, 2 tsp pectin. Blend tangerines in a blend until smooth. Add 1/2 the sugar to the mixture and blend for approximately 15 seconds. Put contents into a medium sauce pan on medium heat & bring to a low bowl. Add all the other ingredients to the pot except the pectin, mix well and bring to a 2nd low boil for appx 3 minutes. Add pectin & bring to a low boil until reduced & passes the spoon test. Allow mixture to cool a bit and add to a glass jar with a lid, replace lid and place on the counter until room temperature 😏 or shortly after if you can't wait! Refrigerate. (I do this when making a really small batch for guests visiting or to use fruits before they go bad. It's usually eaten up in about a week)
I can not wait to try these. English muffins are my most favorite thing. I make mine using a recipe I've had for years but has many more ingredients. I've never considered looking for a different recipe until your video randomly came up! I'm excited to make these! Thank you for sharing. Much love and warm hugs fro Nova Scotia.
Wow we are making your english muffins. Thanks for sharing. We will be making egg bacon and cheese english muffins sandwiches. Your So Awesome. We love your channel. We have learned so much from you. It has helped us greatly. Hugs.😊
@francinewilliams9996 there was no making of cream cheese with the yogurt..she mixed plain yogurt with self rising flour to make the English muffins..I didn't see anything about making cream cheese
Simplicity is golden and much appreciated! I usually see the ingredients and procedure listed under the "more" drop down menus", I didn't see those listed.
Why didn't we know English muffins were so easy to make! I'm 67 and could have been making these all that time. I almost always forget to buy them and now I won't have too! Thank you Pam.
I am definitely trying this! I’ve tried two different recipes for English muffins in the last month or so. Yours is by FAR the easiest. Once we are done eating the ones in the freezer, I’m doing it! Thank you for your fabulous channel!
What I like about these, they have no seeds. I like the original English muffins but stopped eating them because of the seeds. Definitely going to try these. Thank you, Ms. Pam for another alternative.
Hello lovely lady! :D I've never seen self-rising flour in our stores, would you mind letting me know how much baking soda, salt and baking powder I'd need to add in to my all-purpose flour to get these to turn out like yours please? :D Thank you, in advance. They look fantastic! :D God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
Pam!! You must have known I needed this recipe!! I love making breakfast sandwiches with English muffins and lately our stores have not been stocked, so I’m going to attempt to make it myself. Thank you I will keep you posted.
My first time baking in my skillet was fantastic. At 9:30am I mixed the ingredients then I put them in my cast iron skillet, 8 minutes then flip over for additional 8 minutes. Thank you for this ingredients and on how to prepare it. My mouth thanks you and most of all my tummy as well. I give this video a 100 A plus momma Mia there is no fuss. 👍👍. I know I made a boo boo it suppose to be 9:30am not pm.
BLESS YOUR HEART!!! I USED TO SPEND ALL DAY ON A SATURDAY MAKING SOURDOUGH ENGLISH MUFFINS. FRIDAY NIGHT I WOULD MIX UP A QUADRUPLE BATCH TO SIT OVERNIGHT. IT MADE 90 MUFFINS! I USED 4 ELECTRIC SKILLETS. TO LET THEM RISE, I WOULD SET THEM IN MY HUSBAND'S VAN. (MADE IN SUMMERTIME SO LIKE AN OVEN IN CLOSED UP VAN. SMELLED HEAVENLY!) SAVED BREAD WRAPPERS ALL YEAR & PACKAGED IN THEM. SHARED WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS. THAT BUSY BE/SUZY HOMEMAKER HAS PASSED AWAY. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE! THIS OLD GAL GOES FOR NICE & EASY PEASY! THANKS TO YOU, I CAN ENJOY HOMEMADE ENGLISH MUFFINS WITHOUT ALL THE FUSS, MESS & TIME!
I love love love english muffins. Thanks to you I can now make my own whenever I want!! I love to toast them and butter them to have with my ‘dippy eggs’ and I also love to toast them, cover them with a nice slice of fresh tomato, and a freshly sliced piece of extra extra sharp cheddar cheese, with a light sprinkle of salt and pepper (Italian seasoning is another option.) Toasted with butter and jam is just as good all by itself. Thank you, Miss Pam ❤❤

Once again, Pam's a miracle worker!!❤
I am super excited to try this. I make homemade biscuits sometimes but this looks easier and far more satisfying 😌

That is awesome!
So simple: 2 cups self-rising flour with 1 cup plain yogurt! Pam’s instructions are wonderful.
Pam always amazes me with her recipes. Please don’t pay $21 plus tax for a dough cutter when you can get the same thing at the dollar store.
Ummmmhmmmm
Yep, that’s where I got mine!
I saw a knife on your counter, right before you said you were going to open the muffin.
Just a tip: the traditional "nooks and crannies" of an English muffin are created by inserting a Fork into the side at various points and wiggling the two halves of the muffin apart.

Tangerine jam? Care to share the recipe?
@jago4673 It's what I refer to as a "Quick Jam" = 9 tangerines peeled, the inner membranes & seeds removed, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 TBLS honey, 1/2 tsp lemon juice, small pinch salt, 2 tsp pectin. Allow mixture to cool a bit and add to a glass jar with a lid, replace lid and place on the counter until room temperature 😏 or shortly after if you can't wait! Refrigerate. @francinewilliams9996 there was no making of cream cheese with the yogurt..she mixed plain yogurt with self rising flour to make the English muffins..I didn't see anything about making cream cheese
@francinewilliams9996 I'm sorry, maybe your asking Pam how to make cream cheese with yogurt..
I love that ending phrase!!!❤❤❤ God bless you ms pam in Jesus name 🙏🏽❤️🙏
Those muffins look sooo good, guess I’m cooking in the morning ❤. Thanks!
Once I saw this while lying down, I got up an hour early just to make them.
Simplicity is golden and much appreciated! I usually see the ingredients and procedure listed under the "more" drop down menus", I didn't see those listed.
Wow Pam, those look delicious! Storebought English muffins are so ridiculously expensive...I can't wait to give your recipe a try.
Hope you enjoy
You’re welcome!!
I can try making these at the cabin.Thank you Pam! You're like the auntie in the kitchen I never had. 👍👏
Aaawww thank you
Dear Woman, I love your presentations! Keep on doing these videos, please. They cheer me up considerably!

Wow! 😍 these are on my baking list for this week! You make it look so easy!
Hello lovely lady! :D
I've never seen self-rising flour in our stores, would you mind letting me know how much baking soda, salt and baking powder I'd need to add in to my all-purpose flour to get these to turn out like yours please? :D
Thank you, in advance. They look fantastic! :D
God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
Pam!! You must have known I needed this recipe!! I love making breakfast sandwiches with English muffins and lately our stores have not been stocked, so I’m going to attempt to make it myself. Thank you I will keep you posted.
I love the original twist you give to each recipe. Makes me say “I have to try that!”
What temp does the stove go on? I can’t seem to find that anywhere.
Love your videos,❤ But you didn’t give the amount of yogurt. I can’t wait to try your recipe.
Omg! Auntie Pam thank you for sharing
OMGudness these look so delicious. I'm going to try the gluten free version. Lol. I want this right now. Lol
Thx for asking Ms Pam 😊
Hope you enjoy
Thank you. Treating the dough gently--just the revelation I've needed for fluffy English muffins.
Thank you Pam. You make it look so simple. I'm going to give it a try.
Who knew English muffins were this easy to make! I enjoy them for breakfast with butter and jam. Or any kind of sandwich anytime.
