I found my first electric guitar I was given at fifteen in my friends garage the other day, a beaten up Squier Tele in butterscotch blonde. I thought I had lost it and havent seen it in 20 years, it was propped up in a bag next to his freezer. I am so looking forward to playing it again after all these years. long story short your videos have given me a zest to play again.
It would do you a lot of justice to do some research on adjusting the neck and giving it a proper setup with some fresh strings. I personally user Elixir 9s or 10s (they're pricey compared to others, but they sound great and last much longer without the rusting). D'Addario and several others make great strings too, but a quality set is essential to sounding good. Just remember to NEVER overtighten the truss rod. I use 2 fingers, and if it feels like too much, it's too much.
The first pedalboard I put together to inexpensively learn what different pedals did and then develop the signal path I wanted was using Donner. It was their board, bag, and 28 mini pedals. I will likely never get rid of it. Thanks for the demo. I will put one in my basket for Christmas and probably put it into my Audio2000s mixer for practice sessions and record them to playback later and learn what I need to improve on...
Thanks for the great review Sophie.. I've been looking for a multi-effects unit to replace the Boss GT-1000.. I did like the Boss.. but I didn't like the drives built into it.. I might have been the amps I was using.. but they all sounded too digital and compressed.. (which is good if that's what you want) Did you like the drive settings in this Donner unit? Currently I'm back to using my old-school pedalboard.. I would just be nice to have an all-in-one solution rather than worry about the fiddly cables, power supply.. etc.
Interesting unit. I'm still in search of the the "perfect" classic rock tone (think early Michael Schenker) so that would be where I start. Followed by a proper metal tone circa Hell Bent for Leather era.

I've been playing guitar for about 3and half years now never had the opportunity to try any pedals, I put hours and hours in every day sometimes up to 10 hours a day just learning and practising new little tips and tricks, your guitar playing inspires me all the time and I would love to play as good as you, if you know anyone who might have a pedal to give away, I would appreciate it so much, I just can't afford it myself at the moment, but all I want to do is play play and play every day. I have a question about looping with the donner. Can you start a loop with one preset and then switch to a different preset to over the loop. thanks for posting cheers

I just sent mine back and kept the Harley Benton DNAfx GiT Pro instead since it’s about the same price and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the Donner. Donner‘s fine but there are severe quality differences. Check my German comment on Bernd Kiltz‘s Video on the Arena2000 and translate it into English, if you’re interested in the detailed comparison.
Great review! So many other reviews on TH-cam of this product are by metalheads, and they only explore the dirtiest of sounds. Thanks Sophie for demo'ing this product with a wide variety of sounds.
So, I paid $290 (used) for my Zoom G6, and while it sounds good, it's DSP is anemic when it comes to effects. Reverbs and delays can suck down 30%+ CPU alone. And it was another $40 to control it from my phone via bluetooth... >_> And this Donner has an XLR out; the G6 has an output meant for an amp, so I spent more money on a Canvas lol (probably didn't absolutely have to). This thing is $220 atm ($50 coupon right now). Oof, Zoom. Big oof. Though I do like Zoom's Krampus amp, at least ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks for sharing!

Try a review of the NUX MIGHTY SPACE AMP I also has everything this does controlled via phone iPad it’s pretty awesome once you learn to deep dive it
