All the buttons on the Arena 2000 are blocked by a special option to prevent accidental pressing, you just had to dig deeper, so it’s an excellent device.
For a guy who was alive during the Zoom 505, Johnson J Station, and Line 6 Pod Bean era, I have to say kids these days just starting out are pretty damn lucky to have access to so much cool gear at obtainable prices. The entry level amps and multi fx pedals available now blow everything away at comparable prices twenty five years ago.
They have all the cools tuff and none of the talent of the older guitarists. BUnch of boomlet babies
Damn! I remember my Zoom 505 hahaha, u're absolutely right.
@@SerghCL I still have my Johnson J Station and Zoom GM-200. I can't seem to bring myself to get rid of them.
Oh man! I had a Zoom 505 back in the day and thought it was awesome. I ended up trading it about 10 years ago. Now these pedals are so beyond that old technology its crazy. I still have my Boss stomp boxes though.
High fives 🙌 on the 5️⃣0️⃣5️⃣ era! Wow, good times…
You don't need to pull the knobs to remove the plastic covering, just take a pointed scissors and lift the area by a knob and carefully make a small slit near the knob and the plastic will pull away from the knob.
Thats cool and all but you shouldnt need tools to peel off protective plastic...

I'm new to your channel but I'm digging what you're putting out. Keep at it.
Thanks for being here! 🙌
Been waiting for your opinion and video!🤘🎸❤
🥳💪 well there you go!
sounds ok. changing a setting via phone is a 10/10 feature.
Agreed. I understand some people might not be impressed by that, but I think it’s a good feature.
It sounds great through the power amp.
Sold all my tube Amps, they were never consistent, and never been happier than now with a boss katana mk2 100 head, omg, price and sound perfection
Glad you dig it. I could never get along with the katana personally, but finding what makes you happy is what’s important!
Get a modeller and run thru the power amp in...much more versatility, or 4CM for the boss effects alone, which does make the katana worth it. Question is however, does the katana power amp in flavor the output.
I was scoping that amp out the katana, sound got my attention
@@TaylorDanleyso even with the mark 2 and online editing in tone studio, you didn't like it? What was the issue?
Rookie move
Sounds really good actually. Might have to try to save up for one.
Do you have a multi effects unit like this for someone that loves that 80s hair band sound?
Great videos! Which one is better... the donner arena 2000 or the valeton gp200?
As someone who owns one and had used it recently in a small concert, my one con from me is how small it is. I get it, it's supposed to be small and portable, but man, as a guy who is more on the big size, feet wise, it is a pain when I accidentally step on two of the buttons. Other than that, I love this little thing, it's awesome for replicating some warped tour tones, like, this thing is amazing for metalcore and hardcore tones, in my opinion. Other than that, loved the video Taylor!
Sounds brutal 😜
Thanks for the video. So, another floor multi-treader. Isn't that enough already? I don't understand or am I too old for this? Are there no reasonable and affordable rack processors anymore? I have a GT PRO, Eleven Rack, POD HD PRO and some old Rocktron, Boss and Roland parts. Are there only the expensive Kemper Helix and Ax FX left? Is there no manufacturer who dares to build a rack processor in the 500 € class? Maybe with an optional floorboard? That would be something else where I would make money loose. Cheers.
That film thing is the same with the scratch plates on their guitars and I was *not* comfortable removing those knobs without doing damage they were on that tight.
Got there but not without a lot of stress of damaging my stepdaughter's first electric guitar before she even got to hold it!
Just got one of their teles this week and the control plate is like that. But it appears the film goes under the plate a bit, so I'm gonna have to unscrew the plate and lift it out to get it all off and looking clean.
Oh really? That’s obnoxious, they need to fix that!
I don't own a cell phone so I have no need for blue tooth. However, I do like what this Donner product is producing. I guess I am too old school to say I want it, but it sounds great. I have the JOYO Chopper Z and that is my go to pedal for now until I get the Empress Heavy. It's all about a particular sound that you're always chasing when you have the multi effect units. I like to keep things simple. I am an analog man when it comes to guitars and such but everything today is so digital and I'm not sure that that's a good thing in the long term. My Johnson J-Station came out in 2001 and it quit working in 2021... but my old stomp pedal (Ibanez Tube screamer late 80's's model) still works.
Appreciate these videos. I think this one would be a skip it for me. If I’m going to spend the money on something like this it needs to have an Engl Fireball model since I would want to get it to sound as much like my rig as possible, and so far the only one I’m currently aware of that has a Fireball model is the Helix stuff from Line 6.
FYI the old HD 500 and zoom G3 and X have that model 👽
USB-A cables are actually nice simply because they're very sturdy/stable plugs.
That’s fair, but they’re being phased out. So as technology moves forward type c is going to be the new standard.
I disagree I’ve had way to many usb A cables break I’ve never had a type c cable break on me 10x more reliable
And everywhere. Any printers not hooked to a network is hooked with an A cable.
@@TaylorDanley Technology is not always on the right side of history. 😂
Only men get it.
the arana 2000 pedal sounds very nice 🤘🏻🤘🏻💪🏻.
hey taylor danley do you think the next video can be a mooer ge300 vs line6 pod go
I'm looking at the donner pedal. But what power amp pedal are you running
@taylor danley how does this unit compare to the Valeton GP200?
I love when companies shove out these new units, it makes the older units dirt cheap. Just got a zoom gx3 for $50 and a line6 hd300 for $100, and the only real difference is blu tooth connectivity.
Love the USB comments!
Can u connect a external distortion pedal threw return &send. And turn off automatically like the mg30
ty
This is very similar to the Moorer GE series. probably the same. I use the GE300 for 2 years. It rocks.
You can lock the touch button once done fiddling
this sounds sick im picking one up asap
"Dist" may mean "Distant" reverb? Excellent work. Love your approach. Keep it up.
Awesome demo, Taylor. 😎🎸🤘🏻 The sound quality on the donner arena 2000 sounds pretty killer. It reminds of the mooer ge200. With that being said, I do own a mooer ge200 and that multi-effects has such phenomenal tones. Plus I am a big mooer fan. Other than that, the donner arena 2000 is a definite rip it. Killer tones sweet price.
I read good reviews about Mooer, but I won’t buy it because it is a Chinese company. I am ready to pay a few bucks extra for non-Chinese product.
Would you say the sound quality in terms of high gain sounds better on the mooer than the donner?
@@Tecom38415 it’s really a matter of opinion. My brother and I are fans of mooer pedals and we totally dig what they make. I’ve never tried a donner pedal before, but I’ve always heard good things about their pedals. So I don’t think you can go wrong with either one of these multi-effects processors.
Problem with Mooer seems to be warranty and customer support. This Donner looks a lot like the Mooer GE250, but about $200 cheaper. Anyone with experience with both ??
@@willgo7898 I have no experience with donner, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about the brand. And judging from the demo, this donner multi-effects processor seems pretty legit. And I have good experiences with mooer pedals. So I don’t think you can go wrong with either one of them.
So can you play anything other than thrash metal on this thing?
dude, your riffs are TASTY. 🙏🏽
Does noise gate have both threshold an decay settings ?
Con la caja mesa 4x12 suena realmente bien
Can you make comparisons between this Donner Arena 2000 and Valeton GP200
Does this have to be ran through software or can I just run it through my amp?
can you please tell me the brand and model of that cool power amp pedal?
This thing looks pretty cool. I'm broke as all get out or I'd buy one. I'm having my 7th spine surgery next month and the copays are a killer.
Just use Reaper and a free VST. ML Sound Labs has some killer free amps.
Use this 2 get your spine BACK.🏋️
Is there anything better than this for a similar price? Im new to this type of equipment.
this was the demo I needed
Do you like this over the Valeton gp200? All i need is a high gain soloing pedal with a setting with delay and a few other effects. I'd like to use amp distortion then switch to this for solo. Never used these, does it work like that? Maybe i missed something.
Valeton wins…😌👌
I think this or the Valeton LT are killer for the money.
bluetooth is nice and all until someone else changes your settings mid set haha
🤣
Omg can you imagine? 🤣
its got bluetooth lock to stop that from happening.
Which ones better donnar arena 2000 or boss gt 1?
In & Out Level-Meters....😱🔥
How's the latency on changing patches???
Can this pedal be used as an interface for a daw?
The Interface looks veeeeeery like the Mooer GE200.
Just got the GP-200. Didn’t even know this existed. There’s less buttons… I like the Valeton a little better.
Does it have whammy effect?😢 I can't found it
Seems like they have a lot of options at least... But I'd probably skip this one. Nice work on the vid tho buddy. 🤘🤘💪🤘🤘
Thanks dude 💪
why
Not a big user of modeler's. I get them and never use it. @@yoko6753
cool stuff :D could use something like that!
if it has send return loop, it will the best affordable ME processor.
"Most of these multi effect units sounds pretty good" Yeah most of them do, especially when you plug them into nice amps! The difference I have noticed though is that for many of us living in apartments we can not play on amps without getting angry neighbors or even worse getting kicked out.
That is when the usb audio interface come into play where most of these effects units you can plug into your computer and play your guitar as loud as you want to your fav music or record what you are playing with programs such as Guitar rig, Amplitube or your Archetype kind of amp sims and effect plugins.
Here I can notice a difference in how these external sound cards that comes built in to these units perform. I do not know though, with products like this Donner Arena 2000 or the Line 6 HX STOMP if you can use the actual amps and effects built into these units into the computer to get those great sounds out your headphones to play to your fav music or record them ?
I have just used the usb interface to be able to record my guitar with software amps and plugins with programs I mentioned earlier so.
What power amp pedal is that ??
Dude, this is the first time I watch your video. Your riffs are tasty.
Does “RIP it!” is mean I must buy it cause you also like it???
I think it’s look beautifull but the sound isn’t as good as Zoom 😂
Whats the make/model of the pedal amplifier? Thx for the vid btw…
Higher Power by This Heavy Earth Effects.
What power amp is that
Been trying to make a point you made well in this video. Even the Low end products like these sound good these days. People sometimes get a little butt hurt that i use a Kemper. This pedal isn’t my thing but would be totally acceptable if on a really low budget and you didn’t want to use amp sims on the computer.
Most of the tech sounds really good. The main difference is the user experience and functionality IME. You can get pretty good tones out of MOST of them
The dahlia riffs! 🤘
какая песня? похоже но я не помню такого риффа
Hi Bro! Thanks for the video. I bought the arena 2000 but the Softwere for windows the software for windows does not work, Would you help me? Do you have any information about? I use win 10, acer, 12gb ram, ssd, etc...
YO TELL ME HOW YOU FIGURED IT OUT PLEASE!!!!!
Shall I buy Arena 2000 or Line 6 Pod go? I need many sounds, retro sounds, not only heavy metal stuff.
I own both. Pod is definitely a bit better but if you spend time with the arena you can get great sounds. Price is different. This unit is great !!Donner makes great stuff. I stand by the Noise Killer pedal I use on my PRS Head.
I think for the cost I would just go with a Pod Go since its just a little more
I thought POD GOs were like $100 more? 🧐 even then, hard to compete with the pod go, it’s awesome
@@TaylorDanley It is quite a bit more in that perspective, im just so used to throwing $500 at least on something now adays
I was more impressed with this than the pod go. The pod go was really brittle and digital this sounds more natural and with the post and pre eq you can really get close to the real amp tones. And right now $230 at Christmas sale price is unbeatable at the price point. Also the hotone ampera is pretty good at this price point but the Prs archon and mark v were the selling point for me
@@scottbrasher8007 The more I looked into them the more I want to recommend it to my friend who just started playing guitar
Nux mg30 or this one?
Power switch!
Doz it run on battery as we'll like the boss gt1
I think if Donner fixed the issues this thing could be great for a bidget. But here are some of the problems I've had: Sounds like ass if you expect to use this with a real amp. Can't really use your own IRs as claimed since "Donner Control" doesn't recognize it, but the PC does. So if someone wants to jam out using an interface and record with audacity, it's fine, but the issues really only make it a $200 pedalboard for a reason.
The line 6 firehawk is the only other modeler with bluetooth that I can think of.
I actually own own since 2019. The thing that sucks is that line 6 has turned it's back on the product line. You can't even download the app on newer phones. But it's a great unit for the price.
@JD LA seeing as how it came out at the same time helix floor did, you'd think they'd have kept up on it. I guess I can understand why though, since there is the new pod go and 5 different versions of helix.
@@AndrewStonerock Yeah, I've gotten so use to the Bluetooth capability and editing things straight from my phone on the fly, I'm finding it a lot of work to plug things in a computer to edit sounds lol. I hope they come out with a version of the helix or one of it's variation that has Bluetooth capability.
in built speaker cabs are a bit weak
Love your content!
Quick question - Can you load your own IRs into the unit?
seems yes
The main focus is NOT how to use the product...it is ALWAYS TONE
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
RIP IT🔥🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Rip it!
Can you plug headphones directly into the donner arena 2000, and hear yourself playing with all arena 2000 capabilities 😮 without an amplifier..? Just the guitar, pedal and headphones?
Please answer 🙏
Absolutely. That's what the headphone input is for on ALL Multi Effects Processors. You get it all in the headphones
@@JTB-- thanks 👌😁 I can't wait!!!
Why are you use an extra Pedal Its about the Arena 2000. ??
Cool power amp. I just bought a Baby Bomb for (equiv of 100 USD) I'm hoping someone releases a Multi FX with a built in poweramp at some stage... Then you just need that one powerbrick for one device, then make me a razor thin 1x12 cab I can fit in a backpack :P
What is the power amp pedal called???? Been having a hard time finding one I can trust to be loud enough.
@@evanbarone8190 it’s the higher power from this heavy earth, but I believe it’s the same as the 44 magnum from electro harmonix
That’s true, but I think it’s probably best to be able to have it externally and buy one that fits your needs and budget. They differ greatly in price and if it’s built in, your stuck with whatever the manufacturer decides to include. It’s not ideal, but I still think building a fly rig is the way to go
I think a little bit of diving in would make a better review. Playing it in an exepensive cab always make it sound better; something most people looking into it probably can't afford. What about the cleans, the effects, more cabs, all the outs? With such a generic review even a 3k unit can appear decent, at best. Donner, send me a unit, I can review it a lot better.
Nothing says rock like a cellphone.
How about just leave the plastic in place until it gets jacked up , use it like a protective layer...🤷
You rip the plastic film off?? 😰😰
Sounds like shyt ! Damn i was hoping 😔
In my opinion, the model of Engl Savage is nowhere near the real thing. The frequency response might be there, but that's all.
The real tube amp has that incredibly "organic" smoothness on power chords, I.e. you can't hear any harsh intermodulation; two or three notes played together sound like one, even on ultra-high gain distortions. And here... this is not the case.
On the other hand though, it will probably be great for practicing - just maybe not so much for "pro" recording.
It's all about cheap knobs and metal nuts🤣
METAL NUTZ FTW
Ola englund lite 😂🤘
Get the NUX MG-30. It's way better
Wow, that has a surprisingly bad cab sim.
I thought the first one was good, but yeah when I got the video into editor, didn’t like the cab sim I selected so much.
Skip it
please.. u dont have to remove the dam knobs man u just cut it with scissors first idc about "cheap feeling knobs" as long as it functions and is durable enough for my use.
