RV Life is full of ups and downs. Initially, the RV breaks (or you break it learning) and other setbacks out of our control happen like weather or road closures. But with a bit of experience, it all gets sorted out. Over time, you may find yourself in a rhythm. Every once in awhile, you may find yourself in the perfect campsite with perfect friends with perfect weather and lots of food! Moments like this are hard to plan. You just have to keep RVing until it happens and then take a moment to realize that moment is now. In this episode, we met-up with KYD Insiders Sean and Brie for camping bliss at Langohr Campground in Bozeman, MT. Trish and Brie do some more cooking at the Olivelle kitchen and make the Verde Chop (listed below) and Sean and Marc finally install the air horn on the truck.

Due to some of the COVID related comments, we wanted to pin a post on the topic. We are in fact following the CDC guidelines and wearing a mask indoors when around people and social distancing. When we spend time with friends, we trust that they too have been taking precautions to avoid COVID and we interact with them like normal. "RV Life" is very self-isolating by nature, which is one of the drawbacks to the lifestyle. We don't go to an office for work and the kids don't go to school. In fact, we interact with VERY few people on a daily basis. We have postponed KYD meet-ups even though we could do them following CDC guidelines, but it's still a risk we're not willing to take. There are activities we have not participated in because we felt like it was too much exposure. Equally important to putting people at risk is avoiding it in the first place and we're kinda germaphobes :) Should anyone feel sick, we would immediately self-quarantine and not be in public.

I haven’t seen a single mask on the family in any episode, even in the coffee/pastry shop. I appreciate y’all and I worry this won’t end well. You visit with a lot of people every week (like the Harvest Host folks) and I don’t know how you can be safe. Please be safe and also consider the influential position you’re in. Your influence is a double edged sword.
Hi, and just wanted to say that I have enjoyed watching your videos for the past two years. I have found your style of how improve the RV lifestyle very valuable.
I am though a bit confused as I thought you may begin two include some of what and what not to do during these Pandemic times I feel lucky to be living in Canada where our numbers nationally are down to just barely over 200 per day for the whole country. I still see you guys going grocery shopping with no masks, meeting and greeting friends and acquaintances, with hugs and handshakes.
Please remember it only takes one person who may not even be aware of being infected, but then passes it on, and the next video may be you or someone you know boon docking in a hospital parking lot. Please as a parent begin to include some sound advice on how to travel safely in these Coronavirus times.
P.S. I am now shopping for a used F150 after watching your series.

Agree. Those of us in destination states, such as Colorado, and especially Montana, have numbers that were heading down and were very low, in the case of Montana. That, sadly, is no longer the case, and far too many people are going around without masks. Gardiner Montana, for instance, has numbers that are higher than they've ever been, as does West Yellowstone. Shaking hands, hugging, and sitting around a table with people not from our immediate family is definitely not advisable. If all involved have been recently tested and have been isolating and have been tracking movement, then state that as well. We can all use all the positive behaviour reinforcement possible from lifestyle influencers and teachers and truly work on squashing this thing, not just containing the threat. We can all help each other be wise and be safe. Your positive influence could be beneficial in this, as it is in so many other areas. It is unwise to act as if we are in a business as usual or travel as usual situation.

Keep Your Daydream Imo your pinned remarks are excuses for modeling inappropriate behavior. You parse it any way you want but you get an F in pandemic behavior. Much as I used to love your stuff it makes my skin crawl now and I just can’t watch.
We were 9 days away from our departure date for our first big road trip with our new to us rig and our first visit to Yellowstone. My kids had a count down calendar and everything. Then our governor put her travel restrictions back into place because of COVID. Now we have to cancel because we are required to 14 day quarantine if we leave our state. Which we can’t afford. That would be a total of 3 weeks off. 😞. && just like that our biggest most exciting vacation (so far) was cancelled. We’re looking into places we haven’t been within the state. (New Mexico) we have plenty of forest to explore here but it just isn’t Yellowstone. We’re trying to keep our spirits up and attitudes positive. I’m glad we still get to watch you all make your way to new places!

I need to apologize on behalf of some of my less well educated fellow subscribers. Full time and nearly full time RV-ing is some of the best social distancing there is. Don't allow the trolls to get you down. Loved the cooking (I might have damaged my keyboard, drooling on it!) Airhorns do qualify you for best Dad ever, especially next time you pass a semi. Just remember your title, Keep Your Daydream, always!! Stay on the positive, like you always have. We love your content!

We also love the camping love seat. I actually bought it for our dog and me to sit on. Our plan was Yellowstone and Mt Rushmore, but we live in Canada. This year enjoying our local lakes instead.

As a retired Executive Chef, I'm really impressed your your culinary skills. I'm a personal friend of Alton Brown and used to do a lot of "Behind the scenes" work for his shows. And, your presentation on the "Verde Chop" is great! (Marc, I agree with the name.)
First off we absolutely love you guys. What an amazing and breath taking view, and the food lol. We want to thank you most of all. We have decided to start now and start small with what we can afford. Trish I’m super-pumped that you’re writing a cook book!!! I’ve gained so much weight through this ‘rona mess, stress eating unhealthy food. I need to take better care of our family, but my cooking has been sadly uninspired. Every recipe I’ve seen you cook is so colorful & full of flavor.

What a timely viewing for me: husband was just diagnosed with diabetes and farro appears to be on the acceptable list for managing blood glucose, especially when paired with so many yummy veggies, fats and proteins! Thanks for making this recipe and sharing it with us. Heading out this weekend for a camping trip and will give it a try.

I love the look of the verde chop. Bowl meals are my favourite at present. No jalapeño lime balsamic in my supermarket, but I think I could create my own. I wish I could zap you some limes. My tree is laden at present and so is the lemon. Message from Charlie: That's his bed and his Airstream. As soon as you invite a dog or a cat to share your home, it becomes their's. You're staff and payer of bills so don't forget it! 😂 (Actually I think cats are more possessive than dogs.) Nice balance between truck/caravan stuff, cooking and outdoorsy stuff. We have been watching your channel for over 2 yrs and have respected your knowledge and intelligence on RVing. I am shocked with over 130k US COVID deaths and Hospitals maxed out ICUs, you are not practicing CDC guidelines during a pandemic. No masks and no social distancing ! Extremely disappointed !
We are following CDC guidelines and wear mask and social distance in public. We do however treat friends like family and trust they too have been doing everything possible to avoid COVID. Our lifestyle is extremely self-isolating. We don't go to an office, school, gym and actually come in contact with very few people.
Marc, Understood... We just don’t agree on the facts. We have been full time RVing for 1.5 yrs and have been in Healthcare for over 30 years. Unfortunately, there too many unknowns and we do not want to contaminate innocent people as well.

Unfortunately, no one can be “trusted” to be as safe as you. What’s the point of taking precautions when you treat friends as family and trust they took precautions? Do they feel the same way with others that they were with before you? Were you trusting of others before being with them? I have a friend who I would have trusted to be as cautious as me who just had to be tested because of contact tracing. He trusted the person he was exposed to. I’m not taking any risks with any friends. I wear masks around everyone except my husband.
It was only a matter of time that Tricia give in and publish a cookbook. She's a fabulous chef IMO based on just some of the dishes she puts together. I'm buying it.
Great video! When you all were talking about the "Big Sky Salad" and how it can change your life, you're not kidding... it got my husband to eat salad more regularly, LOL. We've been KYD fans from the beginning, mostly because you guys are always so fun and positive, but since that cooking episode we've been a big fan of Olivelle products as well! the fuse looking thing is for safety. if for some reason you were to have a fire in the water heater cabinet it melts the fuse and shuts the propane flow off so you don't burn down your rig. it happen to my old travel trailer. luckily I was prepping for a trip and was there to make sure everything was working proparly. it don't take much heat to melt the internal fuse.
I love seeing friends uplift one another for a common goal!!! I hate cooking :(, but I love cookbooks for inspiration :).

Hi you guys! Wanted to tell you about Norwex . They have a glass cloth that is fabulous at cleaning glass and mirrors and you only use a spray bottle filled with water. It is awesome and no chemicals. Truly enjoy your wonderful show!

Charlie needs a blanket over his bed cot. My boys won't get on theirs until I put their blanket on it. The canvas is kind of rough and doesn't feel good on their feet. If it's cold (they're greyhounds) I lay it half on the cot and fold the other half over them like a taco.

Love the air horn. I tow with an F150 and it’s just not “beefy” enough for an air horn. You need a beast of a truck for that. Have fun!!

Sure you’ve already gotten this advice..... If your “fuse” as you call it on the hot water tank is blow you’re heater will not make water on gas or electric. Called a thermal cutoff. The igniter serves two purposes.... ignites the propane and also senses if the flame is lit. You have to clean it once a year. Just pull it out and rub it with some fine sandpaper! We have the same water heater in our Jayco and have had the same issues!
I loved the ending. I felt like I had stopped to just look up the creek. So peaceful.

Keep doing what you do, you easily film my favorite RV videos to date it’s because of the people you are. I’ve set my long term goals on traveling and saving for my future trips.
Wire up the air horn like they do on diesel pushers where you have a city/highway switch. In city mode when you press the horn power goes to the regular horn, when in highway mode power goes to the air horn. It's very simple to do and you can use your upfitter switch to toggle a relay to do it.

Hi Trish, Mark, Caleb and Carson. Great to see you all again. I made The Big Sky Salad but used goat cheese instead and it was AWESOME!!!!!! I am going to make it again. i made it for my parents when i went to visit and they loved it. They always love when I cook for them. They say I'm good or something, but I just enjoy cooking. Loved this cooking video. I love all of your videos.
Oh Charlie... Our Maggie (yellow lab) doesn't use her hammock thing or cute RV theme dog bed we bought her for camping. Instead she digs up a bed by using leaves or just lays on the dirt... dogs!!! Beautiful footage.

Little behind on your videos because my husband just retired from the military and our family recently began our year long RV trip and have been in the black hills of South Dakota without internet, where we met another family with the KYD shirts! If you have not fixed the water heater yet, I have something for you to try. I just want out for the first time this year, I had a dead water heater. Everything in the heater looked good. Out of frustration, I removed the control board. There are 2 relays in these units. Using a larger size screws driver, using the handle end, give the back of the board a couple of good raps.
