Love that you remember to show the “mundane” parts of RVing even though you are seasoned RVers! We look forward to your videos each week. Much love from OHIO!!!
Love the behind the scenes/day in the life videos. It shows that everything isnt all rainbows and sunshine. Also really like the longer videos. Im sure its a pain to edit them, but your videos really are like cinematic movies!
Thanks Cody, not all rainbows and sunshine for sure!. Nice to see KYD showing that aspect. NOW would love to see a behind the scene Mark in the doghouse with Trish episode. Now that would be a hoot!
I second that! Tricia is correct about plumbing fittings working loose and using plastic bins for secondary containment is the best solution plus they keep all those small containers organized and more likely to stay in place while traveling.
The fact that you took the time to find Caleb’s “hold my nugget and umbrella” clip, lol and insert right after Trish says “nugget tray” is exactly why I love and follow KYD! 😂👏 And the water problems wasn’t draining to us at all! 😃👍🤙🙌
Taking time for your video is at the top of our list each Sunday. It's obvious that you put a lot of effort into setting up, filming and editing for every video, and we appreciate all the time and dedication to your viewers that it takes. Marc's sense of humor while narrating is unparalleled in the TH-cam world and much of the reason we watch you guys faithfully. Thank you!
It was so nice to meet you both last night at the Harvest Host camp. We were having such a great time with all our new friends. Thank you for for encouraging and guiding us for 5 years through KYD! Safe travels and congrats to Carson!!!!
I'm glad you didn't edit out the troubles. Makes us "Regular" people feel better that it can happen to everyone. LOL. great job keeping your cool Mark.
I'm just trying to imagine how expensive that jerky display at buc-ees has gotten! Like picking out gold!! Happy you got to stop. It's honestly the best part of driving through Texas and now Florida and Alabama!
It was encouraging to me to see "old-timers" like you still struggle with frustrating parking issues and things not working in the rig they way you want them to. It brings a bit of reality to the experience. I
I know you are SO happy to be back in your truck! The voice made me giggle. We like the "fix it" parts of the video because you always explain what went wrong and how you got it to go right. It lets the rest of us know what to do if it happens to us!
So happy to see you back in the Airstream! The Bird was a lot of fun though, and we can't wait to see what's coming up next. As always, we love watching your videos. Full time RVing isn't for the faint hearted.
This is educational and entertaining.. My husband and I had water issues 3 weeks ago. These kind of videos are so imperative for RV viewers in need. You have to think outside the box when dealing with RV issues and somebody else's perspective is exactly what you need. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Those of us who RV go through these same processes every year. It helps to know you aren`t the only one. Every spring I swear I`m selling the camper, but once you make that first trip of the year, all of the hassel of de-winterizing is forgotten. Thanks for bringing us along!
I was getting my Bambi ready to go on the road a few days ago, and my sink stopped working. I messed with it for about 20 minutes before I had a flashback to this episode and your clog. Yup, same problem. Fixed it in two seconds. So glad I watched it.
Marc, you make a comment, "I hope this is at least marginally entertaining to you" as you battled the leak under the sink. For me, it was the most valuable video of the many of your videos I have watched. The way you problem solve, talk it through, and persevere is invaluable to me. I also appreciate your constant message that RV life is a series of challenges... things WILL go wrong. Trish's tip of keeping the plastic bins under the plumbing became my next TO-DO TASK. Videos like this give me the confidence and techniques to tackle issues I know I will experience. Please more videos on your process of solving issues.🤓
Watching the sink leak issues brings back memories of an ill-fated project of changing my stock faucet to a new high arch one. I anticipated an hour project. 2 days and 14 hours of work later, 5 trips to home depot later, I finished the install. Lesson learned, make sure the supply lines are the same size as the existing plumbing. 😂
Marc, it’s funny when you said are you enjoying this during the sink issues. I actually haven’t been watching you guys as much lately. Not that I don’t love you and your travels. But it has become like a very high level production movie almost. Glad to see the real life stuff.
Marc, I will give you your selection of "moderately entertaining" but from my perspective...HIGHLY EDUCATIONAL for us newbies in problem-solving. Well done Sir.
The episodes with struggles are some of the best. Not because I want to see you fail or struggle but it shows me I am not alone. I also get to learn. Bring more of it.
Wife and I just retired and planning to buy an RV class A or C don’t know yet.. my wife gets a lot of ideas from u.. can’t wait to meet you guys .. r favorite TH-camrs, you guys, trailRecon, lite brite, and a few others.. thank you for all you do.
I so appreciate the REALITY of this video! While RV Life is full of adventure and beauty, it's also full of surprises that take a lot of work and patience to overcome! It's also a nice dose of reality that even if I upgrade my 8K Hybrid to to my dream 100K+ Airstream we'll still run into issues. We'll just feel more swanky in the process, LOL!
This content is the best for those of us who face the same infuriating issues in the RV world. It helps us quickly find and fix which is precious time saved. Keep it coming.
As usual, you’ve taken it to the next level. KYD Bungalow? Who knew? Love all the mods and work you did on the Airstream, especially that Dometic 12v ‘fridge, and the convection oven. It’s great to see Tori and Carson in the episode, but really, Caleb is The Dude. Rock On
Haha we actually loved seeing the mistakes and how you worked through it! Super funny seeing your reaction to the water not coming out of the faucet! 🤣
Love to see a segment on staying healthy while living RV Typical meals but mostly importantly exercise regimen. Trish and those 💪🏽 Lets see a KYD lifestyle Thanks guys!!
Here a tip you might want to try to get your Airstream in tight places. Put a hitch receiver on the front of your truck and put the hitch on and hook to the hitch of trailer and push it where you want it to go. Shorter 16:53 turn radius easy peasy. If you ever want a winch it will fit in the receiver front or back of truck
Sorry about your last minute repairs, but my husband and I were laughing like crazy, we have had those kind of things happen to us all the time. Refreshing to know we aren't the only ones. ❤️
Mark. Very glad you left the water dilemma in the video. I’ve helped many family members with their rv that had the exact same issue with the faucet nozzles being clogged . Great news is the fix is simple and free.
Glad you made it safely to Florida Mark. Charlie sounded like he was letting you know he missed you too. Good to see you, Trish, & Caleb. Thank you for sharing this simple fix for a clogged screen in your spigot Looking forward to seeing you next week. I hope you have a good week.
Of course your truck has a voice! Just like I always knew Charlie had a voice even before your videos “admitted” it! I was riveted to this video even with a “keeping it real” segment on plumbing issues, which I think gives everyone a glance at actual RV life. Love the return to the truck and airstream and the Floridian segment!
We're not alone! LOL. This is reality, which is good for people to see. We turned our water on after winter and our floor got flooded. We had forgot to hook a connection back up after winterizing. Then we found out the water pump needed to be primed. Then we couldn't get hot water and found our mixing valve screen was plugged. Fun times.
Just love that you Mark and Trish show the RV life! So thankful you two and your family have shared so much to us novice want to be types! So much I have learned, and so much at 70 years old, I know I cannot do to maintain my RV on the road! Still love to follow your family , but I will be in my hotels as limited as my back will allow for me and my wife to travel these days!!
Yes, It is marginally entertaining,... and you have a lot of patience to film the process! I hope I never have to experience for myself, but if I do I have this in my memory bank. Thanks for sharing!
Marc… this type of content is great! It makes me feel better that you experience the same type of annoyances I do and that it’s not always peaches and creams. I loved seeing how you tackled the leak.
For me, at least, seeing how you handle things when it goes wrong is of more value to me than when it all goes right. I learn so much from seeing how you fix things helps me so much.
That aerator issue brought back memories. New apartment building, 150 units, plumbers never removed them at start up. So many were clogged. I always remove them when I do any plumbing repairs.
I never comment, but wanted to say I appreciate showing all the troubles you had with the airstream. It’s great to see you problem solve and hopefully can save everyone future frustrations.
Two steps forward and one step back, repeat. I live in the world of facilities (and RV) maintenance and know this tune well, lol. Great content, plus, teaching your son this dance step is an invaluable life skill. BTW, you had me reaching for my phone at the 11 minute mark, ha!
The more I watch on RV living and traveling, the more I learn! So much fun, and so many fun people, but I do not think at 70 years old I can join you all in your travels at this point in my life, but will try and continue tp watch on this YOU TUBE Channel stuff!
Yes, we find the frustrations of every day life very entertaining and helpful. Seeing you go through the troubleshooting process is wonderful! Helpful! Educational!
So glad you left all the "stuff" in the video and didn't edit it out. This is just what is needed. That stuff is typical for an RV of any sort and it was good to see what needed to be done. Appreciate the fact that you stayed calm through the whole thing and gave a calm and intelligent approach to how best to handle all of the stuff. Thanks I needed that.
Mark and Trish another good story, thank you. Mark your "backup" camera is an observation camera and really helps going down the road to know what is behind you and if it is safe to pull over. I rarely use mine for backing up, but use it all the time when merging with traffic.
Thanks for NOT editing out the repairs! Always nice to learn an easy first thing to check if there is no water! Also I laughed at the chicken nugget holder as we have the same rack that gets used a LOT for chicken nuggets!
Nice to see you back in the Airstream. The cold water mixing valve on the hot water heater can also accumulate debris on its screen, which reduces hot water flow. This happens to ours last year, It’s fairly straight forward to clean but getting it off the water heater can be a challenge.
Would LOVE to be in Florida right now kayaking! What a great price for the guided tour. Today is the first day of Spring and we saw snow showers this morning in North Idaho! Every time I watch your video's I get the bug to get on the road. Great to see Carson. Looking forward to celebrating his graduation with you all.
I have so enjoyed your show the joy you all get from your family, friends and the travel. I think you showing the frustration and problems that you encounter, well it makes the show more real. Thank you very much for doing that. Keep up the great work.
Marc, Great content, the process of troubleshooting is awesome for us neeewbs. It's how you fix anything, what works, what doesn't, where's my point of failure.
We always remove the faucet aerators before flushing the water lines in our Airstream. (We do the same at our house in Michigan when we return in the spring and soak them in vinegar before replacing on faucet.) Also, we no longer use the cheap blue water filters. After having to replace our 6gal water heater because of bad water in some parts of the country, we switched to the 2-stage Clear2O filters. Also, vinegar clean the water heater 2x a year and drain And sanitize the fresh tank 2x a year. Love Trish's storage and cooking tips.
You guys and another channel are so wonderful to give these maintenance and troubleshooting videos. I just bought my very first travel trailer at 50 years old and I am excited. I've already booked 3 trips this summer. The tension rod thing for the fridge...yea...on my list of things to get! LOL So from one Michigander to another...Thanks for all your advice! I can't wait to go see The Bird. :)
We just had that water issue with the filter in the faucet in out sticks & bricks. Never before experienced in all years of home/rv ownership. We began looking for a replacement faucet but sticker shock is a big deal. TH-cam to the rescue. Husband found someone to tell him how to fix the problem, easy peasy and FREE.
I rarely comment but this episode had me laughing so hard! A flood of memories came back to me from my past experience’s? It was a dull rainy day till i watched this episode. Glad you kept the AirStream and showed the dewinterization drama! The plumbing is historical! We almost bought the same model AirStream in 2017 at the Chicago RV Show. My girls have trouble with the upper bunk access. Thanks for including all the trials and tribulations! Love your talking Ford, People come into the dealership asking for a demo of that feature!
Sorry Marc had to deal with the cold and long drive. Can’t wait to see more of the KYD Bungalow remodel and wonderful to see all the family together at the end of the video. Looking forward to another great season.
you need a hitch receiver on the front of the truck. In tight spots like that I find I can push it in with no problem. Turning radius is totally changed. I have a long bed crew F-350 and a 32 foot trailer and no problems.
Marc, my wife and I had the a similar issue with debris in the water lines after winterizing it. Be thankful because your issue was nothing compared to ours. At first I did the same steps you did to trouble shoot, but ended up cleaning every faucet and found we had algae throughout our coach. The algae had grown due to a mild spring and a late de-winterization. Unlike your RV, ours was a Newmar DutchStar with two baths, a washer, and residential fridge with icemaker. So cleaning out the algae took a lot of our time and effort. I had to clean out the water pump for the RV and the pump for the fridge. The fridge pump quit because of the build up and I can tell you moving the fridge out was no easy task. We then drained & bleached the entire system and ran it many times to remove the bleach. Our RV repair center said it is common here in Kansas with our weather being so unpredictable. We really love the show. We are going Full time in August. Hope to see you out there.
Love this video demonstrating how (badly) de-winterization can go. I'm about to do this myself shortly - Fingers crossed! I could not drive or backup without my rear view camera - especially when it comes to changing lanes - HUGE safety factor!
This was a refreshing video. It was super to see that you are still loving the Ford and Airstream. I also really enjoyed seeing your thought process of fixing the water leak and clog and also Trish's idea of the bucket under the pipes. Once again, you delivered on your commitment to keep things "real" and did it in an entertaining way. Thanks so much!
No one really shows the reality of living in an RV. Knowing what can go wrong is as important, or even more important, than seeing the fun stuff. As one who doesn't own an RV, I find fixing problems extremely interesting.
No Marc, this is just what everyone needs to see having had your Airstream in "storage" for a while. This is great content.
Yes, what he said. Shows that RV'ing is not all sunshine and RV'ers need to learn to react, repair, rum and coke and move to the next campsite! :-)
Plus you might have just saved someone else doing a a service call.
They now know to check the aerator. 👍🏻
Just buying a TT last week, this is EXTREMELY helpful and entertaining content in seeing some of the work that goes into maintaining your rig.
this experience is so valuable, Thanks Marc
Totally agree with the rest of the comments. Maybe not “entertaining” but so important and informative.
Love that you remember to show the “mundane” parts of RVing even though you are seasoned RVers! We look forward to your videos each week. Much love from OHIO!!!

I appreciated Tricia's tip about keeping plastic bins under sinks in case of leaks. Smart!
I second that! Tricia is correct about plumbing fittings working loose and using plastic bins for secondary containment is the best solution plus they keep all those small containers organized and more likely to stay in place while traveling.
My rv sink leaks also. We've fixed it, and it started leaking again! Save yourself the headache and get a bin. 😀
The fact that you took the time to find Caleb’s “hold my nugget and umbrella” clip, lol and insert right after Trish says “nugget tray” is exactly why I love and follow KYD! 😂👏
And the water problems wasn’t draining to us at all! 😃👍🤙🙌
I sooo appreciated the nugget moment too!! 🤣
Glad you’re showing us the difficulties and your problem
solving thought process! Thanks Mark!
It was perfect , so nice to actually see reality in RVing ! Not always peaches and cream 😁 Safe Travels guy's ❤
Wait, there's peaches and cream? :)
@@drinkinslim 🤣🤣Just when you are under some beautiful trees drinking a beverage of your choice 🤣🤣Safe Travels ❤
These setbacks are part of RVing. I'm glad you showed this because this can happen to anyone at any point.
The water leak and learning on the fly is exactly what peeps wanna see because we all deal with this and run into the same issues. Thanks
Taking time for your video is at the top of our list each Sunday. Best line! "If you want gas for $1.59, you can get it at Taco Bell." LOL! Love you guys!
I might start watching again now the Airstream is back!
I'm just trying to imagine how expensive that jerky display at buc-ees has gotten! Like picking out gold!! Happy you got to stop. It's honestly the best part of driving through Texas and now Florida and Alabama!
I just love this couple and their family! Totally down to earth, honest, and positive. Also very humble. Thanks for sharing your adventures!!
Absolutely entertained. Nice to see I'm not the only person that runs into camper issues.
I love you guys! I once saw you guys in the bird on the way home from traverse city. I’m only 13 and I was very excited!
It was encouraging to me to see "old-timers" like you still struggle with frustrating parking issues and things not working in the rig they way you want them to. It brings a bit of reality to the experience. I

I truly feel the Ford and the Air Stream are becoming iconic to KYD.

Fixing RV problems is always educational and helps others that might have the same problems. Keep them coming!!
I was getting my Bambi ready to go on the road a few days ago, and my sink stopped working. I messed with it for about 20 minutes before I had a flashback to this episode and your clog. Yup, same problem. Fixed it in two seconds. So glad I watched it.
Enjoy your warm weather, Ohio is chilly. Love you guys!!!
Marc, you make a comment, "I hope this is at least marginally entertaining to you" as you battled the leak under the sink. I’m glad you found a simple fix for the sink faucet. It’s always a good reminder to start the the most basic and simple things first.
It is very beneficial to see all of it! 53 year old, single female needs to see it isn't always simple!! Thank you!
Watching the sink leak issues brings back memories of an ill-fated project of changing my stock faucet to a new high arch one. I anticipated an hour project. 2 days and 14 hours of work later, 5 trips to home depot later, I finished the install.

Love to see a segment on staying healthy while living RV

Don’t stop the repair videos! I learn so much! Thanks

I Love the idea of lights down the sides inside the fridge!!
Thank you for showing us some of the reality of RV life. Mark, you did do a lot! Good job!
In regards to the parking in the alley, I put a front hitch on my truck years ago when I had a similar issue. It works like a forklift.
Finally caught up to the start of the current season 😂, love the epic opening, and the kit car esque truck voice!
Sorry about your last minute repairs, but my husband and I were laughing like crazy, we have had those kind of things happen to us all the time. Refreshing to know we aren't the only ones. ❤️

Very interesting stuff, Marc. I mean it. Your reasoning and process of elimination skills act as tutorials in problem-solving.

Always good to see the good and the bad of any kind of "holiday living." It's not all rainbows and sunshine all the time! Thanks for sharing!
It was satisfying seeing the water flow again
That Airfryer gets real hot ! Need to watch it….
The more I watch on RV living and traveling, the more I learn! So much fun, and so many fun people, but I do not think at 70 years old I can join you all in your travels at this point in my life, but will try and continue tp watch on this YOU TUBE Channel stuff!
Oh the joys of de winterizing. We just took the cover off the "legend". Our season offially kicks off in 13 days.
Yes, we find the frustrations of every day life very entertaining and helpful. Seeing you go through the troubleshooting process is wonderful! Helpful! Educational!

hilarious intro ... made that Treck down to Fla via I75 many times. Glad to see we aren't the only ones doing repairs to plumbing.
Mark and Trish another good story, thank you. Mark your "backup" camera is an observation camera and really helps going down the road to know what is behind you and if it is safe to pull over. I rarely use mine for backing up, but use it all the time when merging with traffic.
I'm learning that quickly. Perhaps a rear view mirror is a better term.
Thanks for NOT editing out the repairs! Always nice to learn an easy first thing to check if there is no water! Also I laughed at the chicken nugget holder as we have the same rack that gets used a LOT for chicken nuggets!
I love it when you show the mechanical and/or any problems you have. Thank you
Great episode. Appreciate the candid vibe...its the real story of RV'ing. Agreed...the Night Rider reference was only a matter of time. Thanks KYD!
As I’m going to miss Gary. I hope you bring him along on your travels. Happy trails. 🥰
I just got my first camper, seeing things like this is awesome in seeing what is involved outside of the fun videos you post!
I really appreciate showing the “challenges” and working through it. Glad you didn’t edited it out. Thanks!

So glad you show even the mundane stuff. Helpful to those of us who are new at owning RV’s.
This was a great video. People need to see the “bad times” as well as the good. Thank you for showing us
Sorry Marc had to deal with the cold and long drive.
It's great having KYD in your backyard! Welcome to Tampa Bay Trish and Marc.
Hope to see you out there.
love the water troubleshooting - not just marginally entertaining - it was immensely entertaining.
Sending Love and Positive Vibes from Texas fans who wait for each new episode. The Airstream rocks. Peace
informative at the very least. Like Larry Hubick stated great content and folks who have an RV/Airstream need to know these issues.
I appreciate the trouble shooting footage. All the footage is great. But the trouble shooting process is entertaining and helpful.
Thanks
No one really shows the reality of living in an RV. Knowing what can go wrong is as important, or even more important, than seeing the fun stuff. As one who doesn't own an RV, I find fixing problems extremely interesting.
That gunk in the faucet, was it from the winterizing solution??? Should tell the total story!!!
