On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. 1:54 - I'm not normally impressed by the damage modeling in DCS, but the way that wing came off in a fireball was really gorgeous.

Personally knowing the person with the first credited air to air kill in an A-10 back during Desert Storm, this is hilarious. The pilot was Todd "Shanghai" Sheehy btw, was part of the 511th TFS out of RAF Alconbury. My old man was his squadron commander.

Have you ever considered flying the Do 335 Pfeil and Heinkel Lerche in IL-2 Sturmovik? I know you liked flying the Me 262, I think you would enjoy flying those as well - especially the Lerche, since it is a VTOL design. It's flown in a prone position with a huge glass canopy, I imagine it would be a blast in VR. The design also features air to air rockets. 😁

To add on to what others have said earlier. This guy earned my respect, he started off with a strong aircraft to secure the first point, and instead of going "hurr durr, Waptor Stwong", he immediately jumped into a Tomcat and started Mavericking all over you!

I really love the A-10 and the F-14. Two so unique jets, very nice.
This is like a fantasy I had when I was a teenager. My family was stationed at Ft. Cavazos, then Ft Hood in the 70s. I used to see those A10s doing flights all the time.
I loved the A10 and often thought it could hold its own in a close in fight with most anything. I was 13 so give me a break!

I'm not military, and only seen aircraft at airshows for 50 years. All I can say is that the most manoeuvrable jet I've ever seen is the SU-35! It is unreal!

That Flanker shot really showing that the only thing you can do with a high-off-boresight Fox 2 is shoot the sun even when the sun is behind you.
You should consider adding a joystick/controls camera view. Would be cool to see the stick and throttle inputs for these fights!

I'm a bit surprised the 30mm round didn't disassemble opposition aircraft or turn them into instant fireball upon impact.
Good video, but I have to wonder about something. When I was in the Army forty years ago we watched lightly loaded A-10s exhibit absolutely insane low-speed maneuvers and direction changes, I mean to the point that we joked they had to ne flying saucers in disguise. I don't see this level of maneuverability reflected in DCS. So what happened? What I am wondering is if they didn't subsequently limit the maneuverability because these gyrations were too hard on the airframe and not needed for the mission? I'd welcome people's thoughts about this.

The F-4 isn't a capable dogfighter, so that video wouldn't be any fun IMO. To have a chance, the Phantom needs to be able to boom and zoom.

Not really. The A-10 is a later generation platform, and the F-5 was a cheap export fighter (doing double duty as a trainer in the T-38), not even a front-line fighter for its own generation. It has a speed advantage, but I wouldn't be surprised if even the A-10 has a specific power advantage over it. Given he beat the F-4, beating the F-5 is no surprise; The F-5 was basically built for US allies that couldn't afford the F-4. And given how much of a fight he put up for the F-14/15, beating the F-4 is no surprise either.
Ever since Top Gun i have always wondered why the F-5 didnt get much props....seemed like a pretty fast/manuverable aircraft...i guess i just saw why.
Would be cool to see what the A10 could do with more powerful engines
