    I come from the distant future in the year 2024. We have overcome many global strifes, wars, and economic collapse. However, out of all of that, the Vita lives on! VIVA LA VITA!!!!

      There only one sad thing. Not one big developper that Will make a game on it. It's sad because the Vita is still the handheld With the best graphics. (Nintendo switch is not a real handheld, it's a hybride console. With a handheld feature. And still have not a game like cod or uncharted or Killzone. Like more adult games ) but the Vita has it. Sony can still. Today revive the Vita. But they don't. It's a big shame on Sony.

    Thank you so much. I bought a SONY PS Vita used in craigslist but the owner failed to tell me that after it is fully charged it only lasts 15 minutes. Problem is once you buy "as-is" you are gambling. Thought it would be very difficult to change the battery but after watching your video over and over for 30 minutes, I got the courage to do it. Thank you so much. It works fine. I wish however PS Vita shows the percentage battery life not just the green color. Thanks a million. This battery change was done March 2019.

    Hi brother, my Vita fat just isn't working. I don't know if it's the charger or the Vita. is there a light on the charger i should see? If it IS the battery, how much does a new one cost? It was working a couple of months ago when i bought it second hand, but when i tried to charge it (i blew out all the connections to make sure nothing was in there, i also cleaned and unplugged each part of the charger, blew out any dust and reconnected eveything, and tried leaving it plugged in for 24 hours in 2 different sockets in the house.
    There's just no blue light at all on the vita.

    • @baconisgoodtoo
      @baconisgoodtoo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the charger is working you should be able to see a blinking orange light on the PS button. If there is no light at all then the charger may be faulty. I suggest you find a different charger before diagnosing the battery, which cost 10$ more or less on Amazon.

    My vita works but wont charge u think it could be the battery?? I get no lights when I plug it in

    My Vita has been dead for about 2 years, so you suggest I replace the battery myself or take to have someone else look at it? It stopped charging and the new charger cable I bought( without the box, just the usb) doesn’t charge it at all.

      There's probably a good chance the battery is completely dead. As far as replacing it, if you have the tools and confidence to do it yourself then follow this guide it's pretty simple. I would recommend getting the charging box with the cable you have, just to make sure it dose charge.

      It seems to just hold the cables in place. If this is a problem a little super glue should do the trick, otherwise it's not a big deal.

    Where do you get a replacement battery?

    • @baconisgoodtoo
      @baconisgoodtoo  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jeannie just look it up on Amazon or eBay. There's quite a few of them, just make sure it's for this modle and not the slim since they use slightly different shapped batteries.
