    I don't see how any of this would in any way stop a bad guy from simply taking the lower from the featureless gun and putting a standard grip on it and then going to town with the 30 round mags. This just all seems to be annoyances for law abiding citizens. FYI, I live in Texas.

    For new AR owners, the questions are, do you have any legal mags that hold more than 10 rounds, and do you want this to be your defensive gun? If you don't intend it to be your main defensive gun, and you don't have 10+ round magazines, why would you want "featureless"? The best option in my opinion is using the CompMag "fixed mag" option so you can have all of your other features, since the magazine is easily reloaded and doesn't rely on you having extra magazines. For added value, buy the CMMG 22lr conversion kit, when you swap the bolt and remove the CompMag, it is still in a legal configuration as rimfire rifles are exempt from the "AW" ban. This configuration has the added benefit of your magazine being your compliance part and is easily removed if the "AW" ban is lifted.

    I’m going to give some perspective as a NY resident (far from the city). I want to say that as far as I know the mag lock featured in the video is not confirmed to be legal but I could be wrong. I personally went fixed mag using a 10rd P Mag and a more or less permanent lock as I have other options for defense. I can still clear a jam by pulling the bottom off of the mag and removing the spring/follower. So it’s not entirely impossible to clear with a fixed mag, just more time consuming and something to be aware of when using fixed as an option for defense.

      Standard ARs are illegal. To be legal, it either has to have a fixed magazine or not have any listed features such as pistol grip, adjustable/collapsible stock, flash hider, threaded barrel, or bayonet lug.

    As a Californian and a liberal gun owner, California feels like that one annoying teacher that puts in rules that make no sense but they do it because they can. Honestly - if the main goal here is to stop gun violence, fixed or featureless does not do it all. It would make more sense to have better background checks, a safety training and a license to own ARs. Just like how if you want to drive a specialized vehicle, you need license and training.

No, it does not "make more sense" to violate our rights in ways that make you and people like you feel good!
      Do you understand the meaning of "shall not be infringed"?? The founders believed that power in this country rests with the people, not the government. That means the people have the right to own any and all weapons they so choose to have. That means Cannon's (Joe Biden) and every other weapon the government has! "2 evil features" isn't a thing. There's no evil features counting involved. It's either you are fixed mag where you can have unlimited evil features, or you are featureless where your mag release can function.

      They won’t unless they have a reason to inspect your firearms i.e. your house gets robbed and you call police.

    Good info video but terrible lighting. I've been running the Juggernaut Hellfight kit for years, it works great. If you ever get a double feed, just remove the front takedown pin drop the mag and the rounds fall out. The Mag-lock rear takedown pin design is IMOP a huge PITA when you want to completely open the action. Trying to get a fingernail in to push the detent pin back was just about impossible. I guess you get use to it over time but that design feature made it a no go. The Maglock magazine release design is what I would call "ideal" either. The wedge to release the magazine is basically just gouging your lower all the time. I get it, these guns a just tools after all. However if there is an option out there that can do the same thing without f*cking up my lower, I'm going with that.

    What's that fin grip?

  • @Silveradoguy
    @Silveradoguy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Maglock will never be quicker than featureless. It’s wild everyone justifies an extra step. If shtf and you and get the right fin grip, you can crack the fin or get something and cut it off making it a normal grip. Don’t like the fin get the juggernaut tactical featureless grip. When it comes down to it everyone is worried about looks and I mean that not enough justification for a maglock. And they do make left handed platforms so being a left handed shooter is no excuse.

    Meanwhile, over here in Arizona we can have an AR-15 in its true form instead of these bastardized versions. Between the two though, the featureless is worse.

  • @louislazarus9253

    In California, it's not so much "what is" as "what it identifies as". We all know, just like a man who identifies as a woman is now accepted as true, we have to assume that an AR-15 that identifies as a pair of pliers has to also be accepted as true and since there is no law regarding pliers....AS YET...our former fully automatic rifle that shoots bullets big enough to take down a skyscraper from ten miles away is now simple a tool you'd find on your workbench. If that seems silly, think about that man who identifies as a woman and all the morons in California who now accept that as the truth. You simply CANNOT DISCRIMIATE or argue about this or you'll be labeled a right-wing extremist.
