Basically an extended 10-round mag fixed with side-door round-by-round loading. Needs a stripper clip-type function. Shotgunning with a fixed normal size 10-rounder seems faster. I get the people want the appearance of a 30-round, with all the scrutiny, CA police would give it, but 2A is not about showing off. The one positive thing on this one is that it makes conversion back to detachable fairly easy.
you could theoretically pair this with an MA loader (which is basically a stripper clip for an AR15 and only costs $30 on the official website) and then you'll have that feature as well you can easy install this and then speed load it with stripper clips like you're fighting in the world wars again
Uh, if you use an MA loader, why bother with this magazine at all? My point was for this magazine to have any practical advantage over any other system, it would need some sort of stripper clip feed in its side loading port.
To borrow a thought from a guy with a few modifications - 1. Tar+feather all politicians in california and perma-expell them from the state, 2. Bring in new and normal thinking politicians who will throw out old gun laws and introduce new and normal gun laws, 3. Said laws will include "unlimited ammo caps" and "full-auto for everyone, no restrictions, no exceptions", 4. Rejoice.
But will you be able to "import" it to Cali without the fixed magazine assembled? I think the fixed magazine has to be installed by the factory, which is why it's an issue
@@jonathansmith7306 from what I've heard as long as the rifle comes in with the receivers separated you're set. Just need to make sure it's "compliant" (yuck…) before you assemble it. Maybe when you order something from another mfg you can leave them a note to ship it disassembled?
Everything was going along fine until I had a bad double feed and I could not open my upper to release the mag. I had to disassemble the stock to separate the upper and lower so I could get to the release port to eject the comp mag. Only then could I clear the double feed. One bullet was jammed underneath the gas port. I never want to go through this situation again so the comp mag for me is a definite no-go.
Used to be it was all the conservative Californians leaving, now all the dipshit libtards are fleeing from the mess they made only to make it in your state next. Idiots.
Biden brought on the previous CA Attorney General, Xavier Becerra, and Kamala Harris onto his administration. Between that and the recent pushes for a federal Assault Weapon ban, CA may be coming to every state soon.
You can also have the mag pinned in place from factory. There are these 10 round speedloaders/stripper clips which you insert into the ejection port and push the rounds into the mag. When you remove it the bolt closes and a round is chambered. Works extremely well and is fast. Much less of a faf compared to this contraption however, you can still use those with this magazine.
Had two of these . Double feed problems for me . Ended up going with AR maglock to be CA compliant . Compmag is a great idea but flawed if you needed reliability.
A lot you are missing the point here.. the best part about the Compmag is that is removable in seconds, which means that the only time you really need to use it is when driving from place to place or at a public range with nosy Fudds. If you're heading out to the woods or desert to shoot, its fantastic because you just throw it in your bag, insert your own regular magazine, (still shitty because of 10rds) and have everything else be completely normal. I have tried ALL of the other fixed mag options, and although some were good (Maglock with Kingpin was my favorite) I really never built up a level of trust with them.
@Dick Izzinya a complete redesign on the upper, including a side charging handle, and it would need to use a short stroke piston. It be weird and cool. My idea for the Garand is just how fast that en-bloc clip is to load. I'd bet money that a trained person could get 40 rounds out of an M1 faster than a trained person could get 40 rounds out of an M14 (using 10 round magazines, because restricted state)
@@omaryunus7445 Yeah people are missing this is the best option of SOLGW not for CA gun owners. For them this is as simple as putting a different mag in the box so they can do this for any of their options where installing a more involved fixed mag solution means keeping a lot of different lowers in stock. This also means they can sell any number of their other selection as CA compliant and don't have to guess which one people will order more of.
I'm in MA. We have a similar stipulations to CA based on the fact that the MA legislature formally adopted the 94 AWB in perpetuity, without a sunset date back in 98. To add insult to injury, in 2016, AG Maura Healy made an edict, published in the Boston globe, proclaiming all formerly legal, AWB compliant rifles to be "copies or duplicates" of their unneutered counterparts, effectively banning the sale of those guns. This witch is now governor. May God have mercy on my soul.

30141 here. No restrictions . My new California neighbors expressed to me how easy it was to buy their first gun here in GA. I laughed, they bought a Turkish pump. Welcome to a free state.
Even if they get rid of the magazine capacity ban you still have to have a "featureless" rifle if you have a detachable magazine. It's really not difficult to work around.

There are other fixed mag options available. I think this mag was added so that they can ship their completed guns directly to FFL’s in CA without worrying about CA’s Assault Weapons Ban.
So I can either have a featureless rifle, with all its limitations, but which can use as many mags as I have on hand, versus an AR, with no feature restrictions, but which is limited to just ten rounds for all intents and purposes. With due respect, what's the case use for this thing? Why would you want to limit yourself to ten rounds in a defensive situation? Am I missing something?
Looks like a Krag-Jorgensen solution. Why not use a hinged mag floorplate compress the spring turn the rifle up side down, open the hinged floorplate and use a 10 round charger clip. Close, release the spring, and turn the rifle upright again. Sounds simple, but it may have some engineering problems, but it would be doable as You have the space from 10 to 20 rounds of ammo to work with. You may retain the side door for topping of the mag with loose rounds. Just compress and fill up.
there's already a AR15 stripper clip thing made for CA compliant guns, its called the "MA loader" and only costs $30 and you could probably pair this thing with that
I had the Juggernaut Pin on my AR-15 LWRC and my Juggernaut 9mm 16'' rifle and it was such a pain in the neck to get my magazine out, along with having the button come off. After spending more time at the range trying to get my Magaizine out and clear rounds, I have decided to Use the fin on both Rifles. I really would love to do away with all the malarky and not comply but I have a lot to lose.
0:57 "If we went to California, what would be the best way to do it?" Incompliance is the best way to do it. Don't bend the knee to a tyrannical government and unconstitutional laws. Then again, SOLGW has a track record of doing just that...
Why don't they make a "reloader" that attaches to the magazine and holds 40 rnds and auto reloads the magazine not the gun. If the "reloader" doesn't fit in the gun and won't feed ammo into a gun.... it only reloads ammo in a magazine. Should be totally legal. It is just a magazine loader.
That was something I was thinking about. What if you had a fixed mag that has the pull down lever like this one, but you can attach something else to that fixed mag that will load 10 new rounds into the fixed mag every time the lever is pulled down. And attached to the follower on the fixed mag is something that prevents the 'bonus attachment' from attempting to feed until it's pulled down past it again.
Some of the AW laws out there actually take this into account and their definitions. It would be considered a “magazine,“ or at least a “feeding device.” Californians would spend their time better wiring and practicing with a decent CA-legal fighting rifle than indulging in this play on technicalities.
You mean like how NY just suddenly started giving everyone CCW permits and then told them they couldn't carry outside their home? What makes you think they will stop violating your rights just because a court pointed out to them that what they are doing is wrong?
Am I missing something? So with this item you have to break the upper from the lower and then use a pin to remove the magazine? I believe all California requires is the separation of upper and lower to remove magazine and that is it. This item seems to ad an extra step. Can anybody clarify this? Unless something has changed that I do not know about just breaking upper from lower to remove magazine is legal in Cali.
My only concern is how to deal with double feed issues because it WILL happen. With the ARMaglock Gen 4 and the Kingpin, I can push in the rear take down pin just enough to break the action and strip the magazine while the BCG is to the rear. Then clear the rounds.
I just use these as the range. But when I’m home a regular mag is in it for home defense. At the range I have time to take it apart if there’s an issue.
This seems like a very difficult way to reload and get back into the fight if necessary. The fixed magazine AR Maglock with kingpin is a much better option in my opinion for California gun owners such as myself that want all the normal rifle features.
Yeah the point is basically if some feds show up to your house talking about “you have an assault weapon” you can hide your regular “freedom week” magazines and slap this fixed mag in
I live in CA but saw a video where some guy said if you live in NY you need to glue/cover the little hole that releases the mag. Do we have to do that in CA too or only in NY ????
this is the lease intrusive way to be CA compliant without changing any original parts, but the slowest to actually reload. there are a few faster methods like the maglatch FNGR with Mean Arms MA-15 loaders or the AR maglock gen 2/4 and accompanying kingpin which are faster (respectively) than the comp mag.
From the SOLGW side though this is the easiest way to be able to sell their existing rifles into California. For them it's just tossing a different magazine into the box instead of installing any of those other options meaning a completely separate set of SKUs, If the customer wants to go further and install those other options they have a completely stock slate to work from.
Or you can get a Thordson stock toss on a Comp and have a fully functional AR that just does not look tacticool. Myself, I will keep my mag release and not gov a flip about looks
If compmag just made their mag usable with BF10 or MA Loaders then I would actually get one. But with it being a bottom loading mag that you must load 1 at a time with no provision for a stripper clip I see it as a range toy only.
Wait a minute….it’s a loading gate for ar15? So your saying they’re a smooth ar15 lever and side gate mag? I’m sure reloading mag ne faster but this sounds fun
Honestly this is a massive change in tune from SOLGW; not even a couple years ago I remember going into their online web store and they had in big bold font that their policy was no firearms sales (complete or receivers) to CA; had to resort to buying SOLGW lowers through Primary Arms at the time and assembling a SOLGW rifle myself by obtaining individual parts after.
Well there's a lot of people in California and a lot of gun owners so that's a pretty big market to turn your back on. Frankly I don't have any trouble working around the features what chaps my hide is the "safe handgun roster" that keeps us stuck with older designed handguns that probably aren't as safe at what's new. It's a shadow handgun ban and the state knows it.
So i can have a completely normal ar15 with a regular mag and its am assault weapon while if i slap this magazine alone in, it becomes cal compliant? Asking because im seriously considering this. Cross armory and juggernaut is really good but quite pricey to make it california compliant
Yes it's legal in ny it's just a comp mag. That makes it legal I own a few they work ok but prone to double feed. I would just recommend getting a pmag and using mean arms mag lock with a mean arms easy loader it's 10 times faster and less likely to jam or double feed but consider the law that went into effect September 4 2022 nys now requires you to have a semi automatic license to own an ar15 or any semi automatic at that but if you own a semi automatic befor 9/4/2022 your legally to own without license.
Over the years it's been a constant source of amazement to me that there are so many Californians who think that a pistol grip is more of a tactical advantage than detachable mags. It's either that or they just want very particular, expensive, completely impractical playthings, but hey the more the merrier I spoze.
It’s that latter one, yes. They make the Second Amendment into a hobby and indulgence, and they seem to get a kick out of thumbing their nose at authorities. I said, on another video about this sort of thing, "If the Californians spent less time in the hobby of trying to find technicalities in their State's laws, and more time just acquiring and practicing with a decent CA-legal fighting rifle, they'd be in much better shape…”
Can someone please confirm that barrel length in California is one of the restrictions? And does having the hellfighter kit allow for any length to be used?
Cannot be shorter that 16" no matter what from what I understand. You can go with an AR Pistol but then modifying turns it into an "assault weapon" by CA law because of the shorter barrel. I'd suggest going with the ARMaglock Gen 4 and Kingpin. Why? Watch this part of the video on clearing a round after a failure to eject: th-cam.com/video/q9sthua8eZg/w-d-xo.html
I'm an Illinois lawyer following all this (b/c of our state issues), and I still don't think this device is legal. It doesn't get around California assault weapon definition Cat 2 that simply bans specifically named AR manufacturers. More to the point of this product, Cal law doesn't speak in terms of "fixed capacity" rifles, it bans rifles that have the "capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following...." It's that first word-- capacity. A modified mag doesn't alter the fact that your rifle still has the "capacity" to be turned into a mag fed device. It's the same language used in IL.
Some people seem to think this is a groundbreaking new product, no, Comp Mags have been around for quite some time now. This is just something SOLGW is adding to their rifles so they can sell them in California. A lot of other gun companies already sell their rifles in California, they just pin the stock, remove the flash hider, and stick a "fin" or "paddle" grip on their guns and ship them off to dealers.
The Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter Kit is a cheaper and faster option for a pinned mag build. I don't need to slide my stock every 5 seconds and flash hiders aren't a big deal, so I made all of my AR's featureless builds with Sparrow Dynamic grips. Yeah, the angle is goofy, but I'd rather have the option to easily reload with my grandfathered and Freedom Week mags. Also, if a pinned mag build malfunctioned during a high stress situation it could be game over, dude.
Fixed mag is easy to setup for a CA legal rifle and "looks" mostly normal, but it has it's own issues (mostly functional issues). A properly configured featureless rifle is a more useful tool. There are pros and cons to both fixed mag and featureless... decide the purpose of the rifle and what pros you need and what cons you can tolerate.
I lived in cali and This 10 round limit sux In 2020 I purchased my first ar Smith and wesson sport two with the fin lol but I can use any mag I want its not fixed but don't have any cool features Now I need another AR this time I want to build mine with the thordsen two stock

I went with the Thordsen gen 3 stock, it’s hunting rifle shaped, it’s California legal and I don’t need to lock my magazine. I highly recommend.
Man I'm glad I got out of CA years ago. Glad there are companies helping people behind the iron curtain.
Seriously. This is not a cool product. It's all utterly pathetic. The founding fathers would be disgusted by us just sitting around and tolerating this nonsense while we 'innovate' pitiful workarounds like this. That goofy magazine is a disgusting symbol of how castrated We The People are.
"Granola curtain"
@@c3bhm The point of this isn’t to actually _use_ it. The point is to buy the gun like this, remove the BS ‘fixed mag’, and run a 3D printed drum on it...
@@c3bhmthe founding fathers would be actually really happy with gun laws. they are designed for peasants like you and me to protect themselves from us.
Would be great if responsible gun owners were on board with reasonable legislation and not just blinding following the NRA talking points. NRA goal = sell guns, make money.
Maybe if the mag could take stripper clips from the bottom?
I think you're supposed to uncuck the gun, deal with the problem, then install this before the jack boots with the paper work show up.
you could theoretically pair this with an MA loader (which is basically a stripper clip for an AR15 and only costs $30 on the official website) and then you'll have that feature as well
you can easy install this and then speed load it with stripper clips like you're fighting in the world wars again
Rejoice.
These have been an absolute godsend for us here in NY, hoping to see more compmag products in the future!
How many lawsuits would it take to have CA retract all of these crazy CA AR regulation?
Ar maglock plus kingpin. That’s the best solution that most guys run
The only annoying part is when you have to disassemble for cleaning you have to use your finger nail to get the detent in the pin
I use the sparrow dynamics grip, muzzle break and used a $6 strip of rubber to fix my stock. Can use my legal normal sized mags.
@@geraldholt2755 yeah you can do that but I like vertical grips and my gun to not look stupid
@@bradenmchenry995 I like my gun to look stupid. It distracts from my ugliness.
So there's basically no modification to the gun itself at all to have the magazine installed?
right
@TFBTVShowTime what's the name of this product?
The core of all this is the Compmag, it looks like as long as you have this your rifle is CA legal, not necessary to go through SOLGW
Pretty cool option for those unfortunate enough to live in Cali, just hope it stays there.
I walk a different path.
From behind enemy lines.
That’s all I’ll say.
@@warrenb8228 that's called LARP
Not if President Gavin Newsom can help it. Yikes...!!!!!
You can also have the mag pinned in place from factory. There are these 10 round speedloaders/stripper clips which you insert into the ejection port and push the rounds into the mag. When you remove it the bolt closes and a round is chambered. Works extremely well and is fast. Much less of a faf compared to this contraption however, you can still use those with this magazine.
breaking the gun open is not superior to this lol
@@cagneybillingsley2165 the "stripper clip" goes in the ejection port you dont have to open up the rifle with it
This is designed for quick removal and re assembly for whenever you travel out of state *wink wink*
Turners outdoor has sold this in CA for a while now. I’m glad they have more options now.
Had two of these . Double feed problems for me . Ended up going with AR maglock to be CA compliant . Compmag is a great idea but flawed if you needed reliability.
Yeah this just seems like a much worse solution to the ar mag lock…
You can always remove the fixed magazine and install a regular one
A lot you are missing the point here.. the best part about the Compmag is that is removable in seconds, which means that the only time you really need to use it is when driving from place to place or at a public range with nosy Fudds. If you're heading out to the woods or desert to shoot, its fantastic because you just throw it in your bag, insert your own regular magazine, (still shitty because of 10rds) and have everything else be completely normal. I have tried ALL of the other fixed mag options, and although some were good (Maglock with Kingpin was my favorite) I really never built up a level of trust with them.
A paraphrase of an old Sam Kinson joke: "They don't need a device for their ARs, they need a U-Haul brochure!"
When can we buy just the magazine?
A couple times he said, "$100 more." Makes me think they won't be selling just the mags for awhile.
Everyones missing the best California rifle ever.
An M1 Garand type rifle with a 10 round en-bloc clip. Or just an M1 Garand in general.
I’ll sell u 30 en-block (1950s) Army issued
@Dick Izzinya a complete redesign on the upper, including a side charging handle, and it would need to use a short stroke piston. It be weird and cool.
My idea for the Garand is just how fast that en-bloc clip is to load. I'd bet money that a trained person could get 40 rounds out of an M1 faster than a trained person could get 40 rounds out of an M14 (using 10 round magazines, because restricted state)
The best work around is the FightLite SCR or a Mini-14. The SCR gives you a featureless stock that takes any AR upper.
An SKS seems like as good as a pick as you could get for California,
Mini-14
The compmag is FAR from the best fixed mag solution we have in CA.
yes it is. no one wants to break the gun open with a switch, this removes an uneeded part of the equation
Yeah but it’s one of the only ones that doesn’t require you to modify the lower in some way. Way easier for SOLGW to do this from a parts perspective.
I’m in Florida and I couldn’t imagine what it must feel like to be excited about owning one of those Commie compliant AR-15’s.
It truly is a slave state, NEVER come here, tell everyone you k ow to NEVER come here for any reason

Maryland, at least you can go out of state like Pennsylvania and get your 30 round Magazine's for your AR-15 perfectly legal to.
Isn't the CA mag ban on the way out through the Court of Appeals anyway?
Maybe. California has been dragging their feet to stall it, or hoping a federal ban will take place soon.
Even if they get rid of the magazine capacity ban you still have to have a "featureless" rifle if you have a detachable magazine. It's really not difficult to work around.

load 10rds one by one.....that is better than a featureless rifle with regular mag release?
There are other fixed mag options available. I think this mag was added so that they can ship their completed guns directly to FFL’s in CA without worrying about CA’s Assault Weapons Ban.
So I can either have a featureless rifle, with all its limitations, but which can use as many mags as I have on hand, versus an AR, with no feature restrictions, but which is limited to just ten rounds for all intents and purposes. With due respect, what's the case use for this thing? Why would you want to limit yourself to ten rounds in a defensive situation? Am I missing something?
Does the gun need to be modified to accept the fixed magazine, and if so, does it make it unable to accept a detachable (standard) magazine?
Having used the strike industries fin grip and stock slot, this is not really a better option
I like my king pin just fine. But it's nice to see this option. I would love to try it out.
0:57 "If we went to California, what would be the best way to do it?"
Incompliance is the best way to do it. Don't bend the knee to a tyrannical government and unconstitutional laws. Then again, SOLGW has a track record of doing just that...
I kinda want one of those mags just to mess around with. Are those mags sold separately?
Yes, SOLGW doesn't make the magazine - they're simply going to offer their rifles with them as a CA (stupid fucking state) solution.
So all I need is a fixed mag and im good to go?
Why don't they make a "reloader" that attaches to the magazine and holds 40 rnds and auto reloads the magazine not the gun. If the "reloader" doesn't fit in the gun and won't feed ammo into a gun.... it only reloads ammo in a magazine. Should be totally legal. It is just a magazine loader.
That was something I was thinking about. What if you had a fixed mag that has the pull down lever like this one, but you can attach something else to that fixed mag that will load 10 new rounds into the fixed mag every time the lever is pulled down. And attached to the follower on the fixed mag is something that prevents the 'bonus attachment' from attempting to feed until it's pulled down past it again.
lol a magazine for your magazine, sounds californian enough to possibly work
@@trollwaffenunit1garrison784 I know right? I don't live in Cali but I feel bad for the poor bastards that do.
Some of the AW laws out there actually take this into account and their definitions. It would be considered a “magazine,“ or at least a “feeding device.”
Californians would spend their time better wiring and practicing with a decent CA-legal fighting rifle than indulging in this play on technicalities.
Don’t worry, the Bruen decision will destroy these ridiculous laws very soon.
You mean like how NY just suddenly started giving everyone CCW permits and then told them they couldn't carry outside their home? What makes you think they will stop violating your rights just because a court pointed out to them that what they are doing is wrong?
These have been the longest two weeks in history!
But I have looked into that armaglock and it’s better for sure
Now wait until they ban it by name like the bullet button or the system that drops the mag when you open the receiver.
Assault weapon bans in the 9th circuit are weeks away from being struck down by Benitez
i love the idea of having the magazine as the compliance item, seems like a great platform to use for your freedom week magazines ;)
This seems like a very difficult way to reload and get back into the fight if necessary. The fixed magazine AR Maglock with kingpin is a much better option in my opinion for California gun owners such as myself that want all the normal rifle features.
You can always remove the fixed magazine and use a regular magazine 👍
Yeah the point is basically if some feds show up to your house talking about “you have an assault weapon” you can hide your regular “freedom week” magazines and slap this fixed mag in
Just the ar maglock itself is better. I think the compmag is good for the AK though.
@@kevinortiz7879wait so the mag lock only works when using the specific mag for the system?
@@MrRtkwe im not disagreeing with that. It's better than nothing and I wish more companies utilized it.
Or you can get a Thordson stock toss on a Comp and have a fully functional AR that just does not look tacticool. Myself, I will keep my mag release and not gov a flip about looks
What about that grip with the fixed .22 mag in it for ARs that also gets around ca laws?
I think they “may” have already passed a law or some similar regulation addressing that. Funny how fast they can work to restrict something out there.
Currently in litigation.
It’s called the FIFY(fixed it for you) but I don’t remember the name of the company that makes it.
If compmag just made their mag usable with BF10 or MA Loaders then I would actually get one. But with it being a bottom loading mag that you must load 1 at a time with no provision for a stripper clip I see it as a range toy only.
Do you have to buy their bottom receiver part and the mag ? Or just the mag and will it works with any ar 15 ?
Step 1: move out of California
Better yet: Juries stop convicting people of violating unconstitutional laws.
Lol bro for real , or Californians stop being stupid an stop supporting these laws smh.....
I did
Oh, yeah, cuz uprooting your entire life, family, career, and school is super easy🙄
Yes please!!!!!!
Wait a minute….it’s a loading gate for ar15? So your saying they’re a smooth ar15 lever and side gate mag? I’m sure reloading mag ne faster but this sounds fun
it'd be funny to have this also for the novelty aspect of loading your ar15 through a side gate
@@trollwaffenunit1garrison784 something about slapping rounds in the mag seems kinda fun especially with lever action AR lower. Space lever
Wondering if that would work with a KE Arms lower. Very useful idea.

Money talks
I wonder why nobody has tried to make an AR upper that takes 5.56 stripper clips. Think of it like an American SKS.
If it's fixed does it have to be 10 round limit in California? I know if its removable it has to be 10 rounds.
Where are they? I can’t find them, located in SoCal
Life finds a way
One day California will learn the hard way just like the British did once upon a time
Perfect for the range and easily removed at home, perfect :D
So i can have a completely normal ar15 with a regular mag and its am assault weapon while if i slap this magazine alone in, it becomes cal compliant? Asking because im seriously considering this. Cross armory and juggernaut is really good but quite pricey to make it california compliant
is this product available now?
I really, really want to know if this is good for NY too...
Where can I purchase this magazine ?
short answer, buy a mini-14.
Does this open up the door to use like a vertical fore grip aswell?
Most AR malfunctions are magazine related. Now when you get a jam the weapon is completely ineffective. So glad I live in a free state.
Is this a viable option in November 2023 for Cali compliance?
Still only limited to 10. At least with a fixed stock and fin grip you can use freedom week mags
I cannot believe that an ajustable stock is restricted in california, what a disgrace.
Hang onto your seat. Our illustrious, snotty-nosed, pretty-boy governor just might be our next president in 2024. Yikes.....!!!!!
Where do you get one of those magazines?
If i put this mag on a sbr will my sbr be california compliant
Wait, does this work for CT too?
Some people seem to think this is a groundbreaking new product, no, Comp Mags have been around for quite some time now. This is just something SOLGW is adding to their rifles so they can sell them in California. A lot of other gun companies already sell their rifles in California, they just pin the stock, remove the flash hider, and stick a "fin" or "paddle" grip on their guns and ship them off to dealers.
there is no good reason to do this to any firearm ever

The Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter Kit is a cheaper and faster option for a pinned mag build.
I don't need to slide my stock every 5 seconds and flash hiders aren't a big deal, so I made all of my AR's featureless builds with Sparrow Dynamic grips.
Yeah, the angle is goofy, but I'd rather have the option to easily reload with my grandfathered and Freedom Week mags.
Also, if a pinned mag build malfunctioned during a high stress situation it could be game over, dude.
You can’t have the bolt in the rear position and free a malfunction with Hellfighter. Making it worthless.
here is a clincher.. will my "ARPistol" be kalifornia compliant with the CompMag? thank you for your time :-)
Fixed mag is easy to setup for a CA legal rifle and "looks" mostly normal, but it has it's own issues (mostly functional issues). A properly configured featureless rifle is a more useful tool. There are pros and cons to both fixed mag and featureless... decide the purpose of the rifle and what pros you need and what cons you can tolerate.
Are these available??
