On my F10 535i battery died do to being worked on for 4 days straight. The engine, coolant, charge pipe, etc. are removed so can't start it. Had to quickly go under the car and screw up the screw that's next to the transmission oil cover and it releases the car into neutral. After done moving the car by hand, go under the transmission and reverse the screw back to it's original position. 😎

What if the car was in an accident and made the starter get disengaged from that battery safety switch? Do we have to replace the safety switch first so the starter works or can it still be done without the starter trying to turn?

Buy a jump box. Also under the base plate of the shifter is a manual shift mechanism that can be moved with a screw driver, on some bmws.

Yes have to replace safety switch first to start
I have f10 We opened it in a way similar Like stealingand, it went into safe mode and did not want to turn on.
What can e do to starte or Reset?
How do I get it out of neutral? Please help

U can hear the car cranking but not turning over, sounds to me like it’s a fuel issue (likely a fuel pump)
