For a moment, I had just changed my decision to buy XM-4 😅, because I really wanted to buy Linkbuds S for comfort 😅

I have these buds and I'm very impressed with them the sound is nice voice sounds nice without any edginess a wide detailed sound stage as well which is even more important and the battery reduction is not so bad it spent most of its time now at 70% yesterday and I listened to it all day long I'm impressed.
I just received mine! Great ear buds in terms of ease of use, sound quality and features. ANC is not working very well but I can live with that!

What is the function of the small button on each ear bud and how do I customize it
in my opinion, they are a nice basic pair of buds that sound good and respond well to EQ via the app. Comfortability and fit are strong suites.
I have to say that I think I sound better than the XM3s and XM4s and no problem with the batteries as yet.

So my wife got me these due to my wf-1000xm4 earbuds breaking (thanks to the battery destroyer patch that happened outside of warranty window…). Going from the ultra premium version to this mid-range version was actually a pleasant surprise. These headphones sit well in the ear, have great sound quality, and charge life isn’t too bad. ANC in the 1000xm range is obviously much better as it’s the top of line range, but for price, these headphones really do not disappoint.
I think I’ll probably upgrade in the next 6-12 months, but these are a great pair of headphones if you want good sound, good charge life, and decent ANC.

This is literally what I’m looking for right now due to the same issue. I loved my Wf-1000mx4 but don’t want to pay other for the mx5’s so I think I’ve now made my decision.
Speaking of multipoint: since a couple of week Windows 10 latest patch breaks my Samsung S21 Ultra with latest Android 13 to play anything on any connected multipont headset, both Bose 700 and JBL Live Pro 2. I have to disable Bluetooth in Windows, then in an instant I can hear the sound coming out of the headset. No error messages or whatsoever, just hearing nothing. Did anybody observe the same?
I was little confused on sound quality of c500 v c700. It sounds like c500 might have better balance still with Sony's bass leaning sound? I like bass with some balance. I have enjoyed the Earfun Air for example.

Solid review.
Bought these recently and they're amazing. ANC isn't that big of a deal for me since I listen to rock and heavy metal. But so far having ANC on does make everything seem so quiet without any music playing...maybe it's just my ears. In the past I've tried so many budget earbuds that these earbuds are far superior than any I've tried before like Xiaomi true wireless or the soundpeats t2. Soundpeats gave me a lot of issues, kept going and and giving it to customer service every other month so that's one reason why I switched to a big brand like Sony. Hope they last for years and years.

I had the XM4 which I found rather uncomfortable made my ears sore these fit really well very comfortable and the sound is better.
Expect the new XM5s in the next days (maybe 2 weeks). And personally I would wait. Go check the leaks, they seem to be pretty awesome.

What do you think are the TWS with the Best Mic/Call Quality for under/around $100?
I think the JBL that they mention does have really nice microphone quality. I have been pleased with the Earfun Air although no ANC. Call quality always seem good: no complaints ever. I do more cell phone voice call than zoom as I use headphone for zoom.
The linkbuds s go on sale for $150 regularly. These new ones should be $99

Linkbuds S India price with regular discounts is quite competitive at ₹11k ~ $135. Based on your review, purchased “Linkbuds S” .. really happy with the mics for meetings on windows laptop. And they sound great with decent ANC.

I paid 115eu for my linkbuds s a couple of months ago, so pricewise its almost the same. On all the other points i think the linkbud s are still the winnner between those 2.

Do you know if the physical buttons can be disabled from the app? That’s my biggest frustration with the C500 model. Every time I adjust them in my ear, I accidentally press those. I wished Sony did something about it.

Would you prefer WF C700 or Linkbuds S and JBL lIVE PRO 2 as far as better call quality? Some say that WF700 has better sound than Linkbuds S do you beleive so?
I think the main difference is Lindbuds S does fairly strong noise cancellation on the microphone. The c500 and c700 tend to amplify your voice but don't remove sounds. On the good side, I think the 700 will not go robotic like Linkbuds S or Jabra 7 sometimes do if you have had really bad background noise if a garbage truck drove by while using phone.
I don't know if it would make sense for you guys to do this or not, but I would like your take on 3 TWS available in the Indian market:
1. Realme buds Air 3 - Widely popular here.. you get ANC for around $50(or less with offers)
2. Oppo enco Air 2 Pro - Also quite popular for very fine-tuned sound siganture for its price around $40 with ANC
3. Amazon Echo Buds (2nd Gen) - though they are very old but now priced around $60, I think it makes a lot of sense, especially with alexa built in.

Linkbuds S still cost 110 to 120 Euros, besides Sony claiming them to be 199.- on their website. So who would want to be a new product from the same brand with less features, lower performance and foreseeable more issues in the beginning if you can get the higher tier for the same price? What real price in the real world do you expect?

@DHRME 7:40 I really like your content, but the Sony LinkBuds S does NOT have wireless charging, which is a significant misinformation in this video, it is the main reason I returned it, they also sound very disappointing in comparison to other earbuds in their price range, like the JBL Live Pro2 & the 1More EVO, on top of the poor and low quality plastic used for the charging case, it is surprising that no reviewer mentioned this!

I haw Sony linkbuds S and realy i like them light ,litle and god att music and colls. Also it goes in pocket with noo problem whic is too mee first thing i wach.
I both them forr 50% offer and for 90€ i haw too buy them and i know that is marketing and they are araund 150€ but that is super good deal. And in month off carying im satisfay all work wery good.
But... "You might get discomfort after 1-2 hours" is like an absolutely terrible rating 😮
You should tune your ears to identify colored and neutral tunning of sound... Wf c700 is neutral sound presentation like an artist is intended to listen.. if this is boring then how you would perceive eytimotic sound accuracy

they have to differentiate their budget with their flagship & midrange sadly, but even alot of new buds that have LDAC wasn't really that good with their sound tuning to begin with, and yet their battery life definitely take hit with that more advanced Codec
