Wow, thanks so much for that. I'm certainly trying not to come across as a MS Learn Doc so this comment is a serious nudge that I'm on the right track! Thanks man! 🙌😁
I don't usually write comments, but this video and like many others you have created has truly inspired me. I cant thank you enough for making this content accessible. Especially to people like me who are self taught. Thank you so so much.
Aaaand... they're back :) I've created well over 50 PnP Search-powered pages in the past few weeks without a header section. Only to come back to work this morning and see that all the old header sections are back without the option to remove them. Same on my demo tenant. Thank you Microsoft.
Yea I woke up to that same change myself. The new toolbox (not very useful as far as I can see) was also there so I'm guessing the header being removed is a bug associated with that update. I'm sure they'll fix it soon
Got my popcorn! This is long overdue and I'm excited to update my SharePoint portfolio. I'm also looking forward to your master class! I hope to sign up soon to enable my career change during this time of my career transition.
Hope that popcorn had melted butter on it! 😉 Best of luck in the career change! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, maybe I can help!
It was out and then rolled back for some strange and mysterious reason. Microsoft are letting the side down here without communicating why they have removed this feature after literally introducing it. Maybe somebody has the answer?. In the mean time, if you want a page with no header, you can always go to site pages, copy the existing 'Home' page and then edit that as a new page. It will not have the page banner. It's a long standing work around. Just note that you won't have the option to publish these copied pages as 'News Posts'. 😉
It did and then rolled back and I'm hoping it re-rolls out asap. A lot of people scratching their heads trying to understand this decision at the moment! 🙃
I am so glad I've found your channel! Another masterclass! I am curious to see how we can utilize all the new AI features MS is planning to rollout by the end of the year.
Hey! I think learning Figma is a great idea. Not just for SharePoint images etc., but to be honest, I use Figma all the time to map out sites and site plans or to communicate concepts. It's great for getting your ideas down and is very flexible. If by creative writing you mean creating an image with text in it and using that as a header/ section background, then I would not recommend it. The reason is that as the image resizes across screen types, your text can become distorted and may display a little "fuzzy". In my experience, it's best to add text within a text webpart, as SharePoint knows how to handle that responsively. Perhaps I misunderstood, though, so please let me know if I did! :-)
For sure, just waiting for my 'make the impossible... possible' tool in the mail first 😉 As far as I can tell, there just isn't much room to manoeuvre with this one and I find the options we do have don't quite work for me. One option though that I have found is good would be the hero web part in a full width section. HOWEVER... not in the tiles layout (this is massive in a full width section and hides the rest of the page), choose the 'Layers' layout and go with a maximum of 2 layers (I generally just use 1 layer). TIP... if you change the section background you can change the colour on the text part which can be nice. Hope this helps! 😁
Your channel is, by far, the best I've seen so far. Well done. Others are so basic I feel like I'm reading Microsoft Learn docs.
Couldn't agree more...

I very much appreciate that! I'm a self-thought kind of person myself, so I know the journey (still learning, by the way)! Thanks again! 🙌
Spectacular. I was playing around today and noticed some of the updates. You've really inspired me for a new site I'll be making soon. ♥️
That's great to hear! :-D

Another gem..
Very nice. Good video and ideas, as ususal. 👍👍Thanks so much.
Thank you!!
Oh hell yeah! 👍
Think I really need to learn Figma! Can I do some creative writing in Figma similar to this type of example and use as header? Thanks Dan!

Next, full page width sections that allow any webpart please.

I loved these avatars you used. Does anyone know if it's possible to create a custom one of these?
This is the asset collection I used for this video if it helps www.ls.graphics/products/guuulp-2-illustration-constructor
"SharePoint as entertainment". I thought it was just me.😉
Lol, now that you point it out... maybe it was ambitious to say that 🤣 we should have a beer! 😉
