One of the few "seasoned" rock n rollers who still has almost the same voice he had 45 years ago. Saw Dave at Caravan of Dreams about hundred years ago and we were enjoying his show so much he told manager to let us know we could stay for 2nd show - his treat! So we did and enjoyed it all over again. Class act Dave Mason.
actually - going on 55 years - since Traffic and Alone Together - and every time I think - "Hey - Dave Mason" - I am brought back to the early '70's - and I am never disappointed - Thank You Dave Mason for being one who provided the thrills of a lifetime
I had the pleasure of seeing him in the mid 70s at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. His playing and his voice is RIGHT ON. What a fantastic musician and just a pleasure to be able to continue to enjoy him.
Unreal! What a voice! Love this guy-we delivered a birthday card to his Malibu home in 1978 and he still sounds great! If the date on the video is right he is 76!! Unreal!
Goodness, what a show, and what an artist. Yes, he's in the rock hall of fame, but with Traffic. He should be in as an individual, at least in the Songwriter and Performer category. Dave Mason, one of the best, and still standing!
We're long-time fans of Dave Mason, especially his guitar playing which is why he's one of the guitarists in our "Most Underrated Guitarists-12 of the Best" video. His "Alone Together" album would easily make our list of top ten debut albums. We were sad when he left Traffic but "Alone Together" has lived from albums thru cassettes thru CD's, MP3's and now back to vinyl. Says something when your music lasts for over 50 years.
He came to our theater in Kentucky a few years ago. He and his entire band were the coolest guys ever and told us great stories. After the show, Dave stayed until every autograph was signed and every photo taken. It was a great night.
I've been a Dave Mason fan since entering college in 1974. Some kid from Delaware turned me on to Dave. "Headkeeper" is still on my everyday playlist. Rich, awesome bass playing, keeping the bottom tight while playing some fantastic melodic licks to counter Dave's guitar. Thanks for the upload. Rock on! Dave was spot on... R&R is an attitude, not an age.
Saw Dave in the 70’s. Little Feet opened up. In Boston. Loved him for years. This concert shows how he can rock along with great hits. Love sent to all his fans.
I saw Little Feet in memphis... and I've seen Dave Mason so maybe it was the same tour!! My brain was on drugs and we all know what that looks like so I can't recall if it was the same concert. I have gone to nearly 200 concerts in memphis from 1974-1995. Most before 88. Dave is going to be at Graceland Live venue in memphis on March 30th. 45-60 dollar tickets. This is a new feature of Graceland. 8 miles away and I have no clue what they do or when they do it here😂. If you are in memphis for this, stand up and shout my name and I'll buy you a drink.
I still see a young Dave Mason killing the crowd at WINTERLAND....MASON IS...a Bad Ass songwriter for Decades.. This Cat is a true Artist, Songwriter.... and his Guitar Talents have always been beautiful to suit his songs so perfectly. 66.......and knowing how much Music has brought to my life.... My Mountain knows the sounds of Dave Mason...
terrific performance...it is amazing to me that despite the years, Dave's voice and control is so perfect t. He is one of my favorite all time musician and songwriters. His inability to fully integrate into Traffic is actually a blessing-otherwise we wouldn';t have his impressive body of work. I do love Steve Winwood, but again, they are different and I can live with that...
Saw Mason at Kirkwood back in 1977’ . -Never forget driving from Sparks NV to kirkwood’ up highway 88’ my Girlfriend Tina’s-Hair blowing in the wind-Windows rolled down in my 1975 Corolla SR-5❤️ Great Band he’s got there-He hasn’t lost a beat! His Voice still awesome-Goin strong 💪🇺🇸
What a multi - talent. writes GREAT songs with a whole lotta soul, a GREAT singer and a GREAT guitar player. Can't get enough of HIS music. THANKS for this!
so GREAT......He really kept his voice, and his guitar licks are kick ass , as always....ONE AMZING HIT SONG AFTER ANOTHER.....wow......I tried to see him , back in 1979......in the little town of Livingston, Montana, but the show got cancelled...so THANKS for the upload here, a REALLY GREAT CONCERT..........
Dave Mason is one of the genius rock and rollers since the early '70s and I love his music and I plan on listening to it as long as he lasts on the circuit I still believe he's got songs to do
Dave’s right up there with the best of the best . Hands down one of the best in an elite group of revered iconic artists from the best era of music imo. SUPER tight rhythm section !! 👍 rock on 🤘
Good to see that Dave has been out and about. I have two famous friends/colleagues who are Dave's age (maybe older) who are still out there performing internationally. It makes me glad that this amazing music is still circulating the globe.
Dave Mason is such an amazing musician. He hasn't lost anything and in my opinion, he's the best at using a Wah Wah pedal. Using it under main riffs and phrasings when necessary.
I always new who Dave Mason was,but it took the internet to realize how great a guitarist he is,I always associated him as lyricist, Being 68 yrs.old it's a pleasant discovery
Amazing! He sounds just like he did in '77... How is that even possible!?! Thank you all for a lifetime of music. (I must be on my 12th Let it Flow album. Needed you all the way!)
10/28/2021 Way back in the early 1970s I walked into my local record store. The man there had this album on with this song "world in Changes" playing. I said, "who's that?" The man said, Dave Mason. I said, "but he's in Traffic". I went home with the album. My favorite from the album is "Look at you Look at me". Dave is one of those really good guitar players that never got the proper credit for his ability. Not many can do Hendrix's version of "All Along The Watch Tower as good as Hendrix. I'm so glad to have found this video. Keep going Dave, never stop rocking. ;-)
Love that venue. Saw Elton John there once, just him and the piano, Ray Cooper joined on percussion on a couple songs. Best show ever. Wpuld.have loved to caught this show. We Just Disagree has always been a fav song. Thanks for sharing
Seen him in Sioux City late 70's didn't know much about him went to see the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Well we walked in on one of his jams and we're stunned he was amazing one of the best shows I've seen. This band is super tight and he has not lost anything right on the money.
Okay Dave Mason fans: Could you please clear up a point of confusion? Mason is a credited guitarist on Delaney Bonnie & Friends *On Tour With Eric Clapton* album recorded 12/7/69: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_Tour_with_Eric_Clapton And yet, he is absent from the show three days later. See the video here (he's in no footage), and particularly Delaney's band introduction at 35:10 (he's not mentioned): th-cam.com/video/y4DbsNsK3jY/w-d-xo.html To my thinking, Mason either bowed out of the December 10 show to accommodate George Harrison (i.e. Harrison effectively replaced him for the show), or Mason was in fact not part of the tour and, as such should not be credited on the album. Can anyone clear up this mystery? Thanks.
One of my top THREE musicians of all time. Grew up listening to the most underrated person of all time. After 40 plus years I finally get to see him next month in Charleston, West Virginia. Can't wait
Dave, you are a true treasure. I will be seeing you again 7/22/23 at the Riviera in Tonawanda NY. I KNOW it will be sensational, as all your shows are!! James
Thanks! When I was 19 I saw Dave Mason when he played in downtown San Diego. Before they redeveloped Horton Plaza & gentrification. Great music 1972-‘73 it was!
Been a guitar player most of my life and though he plays in the universal folk/rock scale like sooo many, his lead playing I can pick out anywhere. And its great to see he s still at it.
What a great talent - fine singer, excellent guitarist with a lovely sense of melody and a first-rate band. Great collection of songs as well. Perhaps we expect Mason to be great because he's a rock legend, but whilst it didn't hurt that he was in Traffic, perhaps he's a rock legend because he is a premier talent. Over the years, I reckon Mason's guitar-playing has also consistently got better.
Man, what a great set. Makes me smile to hear this. Great band, and Dave still brings it, as do all the players. Saw Dave about 3 years ago, and he still puts on a great show. Thanks for sharing Rich.
got to see Dave in 2016, and he was a show stopper. he opened for the Doobie brothers and Journey. The Doobies and Journey had to bust ass to keep up with Dave's show. Damn, he is such a great Artist ( in every sense of the word)
Don't have time to liten now, will later. I loved Traffic. My fave song, Paper Sun. Wil listen when I can commit to watching the entire video. Also love Feelin Alright.
I was hoping to see Dave Mason and his superb band perform in San Diego in October 2024, but, unfortunately, due to health concerns and his physician's orders he had to cancel the rest of tour for 2024. Refunds were issued. I wish Dave a sound recovery and a good rest. Hopefully, we'll have another opportunity to see Dave Mason & Company in another tour in the future. Meanwhile, we love you Dave and wish you the best of health!
It's amazing listening to his vocals. I mean, of his contemporaries, and to my recollection, his vocals have held up better than any of the others of the era. This performance? Bravo!
I'm so glad he's he decided not to retire I saw him when he was retired he looks much better in this place right now play music always makes things better go get him Mr Mason

Dave is one of our "GOAT"
Goodness, what a show, and what an artist. Yes, he's in the rock hall of fame, but with Traffic. He should be in as an individual, at least in the Songwriter and Performer category. Dave Mason, one of the best, and still standing!
This is one the best concerts Dave has done .What a talented musician

Great Drummer very smooth and relaxed and young. Great timing. Keep Rocking...
I see Dave every time he plays near me. Last was before COVID and he had Richard Furay with him. It was wonderful!
Loved it live here in Florida! Have seen you three times, caught you back in the 70's in DC!!
Yes! It's like you never left, as Dave says,'Rock and roll is an attitude, not an age'
Thanks for posting. These musicians with that setlist. What a special show. Also sounds great!
