Jim was an excellent guitar player, and Dave is a great guitar player. Totally different styles. And Dave used to give Jim some blowing room. And as songwriters, they were different too, but kind of the same in some ways. I think there was a mutual respect there, but also tinged with a little bit of resentment on Krueger’s part, which was only natural unless you’re a mentally healthy giant. Unless you’re totally without ego, and I don’t know anybody that description fits.” Still, Finnigan said, “Whatever bad feelings he might’ve had toward Dave from time to time were obviously counterbalanced by a certain respect, and certain financial realities.”

Know his strings sound like regular steel/bronze/ect. acoustic on some tunes and nylon/classical/bronze wound/ ect., Because of the warmer classical nylon tone coming from composition of and the swanky slanky give of the easexin string tension. I hear you in his playing but that's just me ! ! ! Shucks man,the way I play, I wore the Silk and Steel acoustic strings out quicker and I just never got use to the tone of the strings, though they were easier on my finger pads, so I went back with the use of the 80/20 Phosphor Bronze Elixir brand acoustic strings. Any Information you can send my way concerning Jim Krieger and his strings and gear use, I would surely appreciate it. Thanks in advance ! ! ! Peace & Play 🎸 On FretBro . . . 👍🤘🎸😎🙏 DDH 10-30-2020.
12 string Ovation?
Picked up on that - yeah. Unless there is a doppelganger with a head like that - yet to see one.
Dave and Jim are superb guitar players, but they should be playing on Martin's and not those ovations. I don't care for the tone - too thin sounding.
Dave Mason has more jams than Smucker's 😎
Give me some affection ❤

Sorry, but the violin part beginning at 7:45 is absolutely horrendous.
