The one ring ... is just an amazing card that allows you to survive in cedh environment and that is a lot my friends, but what about dockside? Is still so disgusting haha
The one ring should inspire new targeted answers to it like 1 mana exlie artfact enchantment effects or engineered explosives and mass bounce effects because 4 mana is a large investment when average cmc is 1.4- you will basically feel like you're moving like a snail compared to everyone else lot's of permant based ramp meta with fish study ring seaborn muse taliyah (the 4 mana dimir commander being played in control shells). The answer might be ss silly as evacuation because 4 mana set everyone back that developed the board plays similar to wheel effects also i was wondering why no one plays them outside the fringe lord of the rings rare that played similar to a blue black deludge.
Did Shaun take pity on Alana and let her keep her lands, or did everyone forget that Tidespout Tyrant doesn't read "nonland" and bounces everything? Anyway, about the answer at the beginning... Halana and Tymna can certainly compete in cEDH, after removing Tymna and the H. 😛
Alana should probably cut The One Ring from her deck. In just one turn cycle she took four damage! Thats even more than losing the mana-crypt flip and its not only every turn, but also increases each turn! Such a bad card!
It won Alana the first game though. You can just draw your entire deck to go thoracle, have more resources than your opponents, protect you from losing for a turn, and much more. Very good card
The One Ring makes games so lopsided. It always seems to centralize everything else around it. Good interpretation of this legendary artifact from LotR; miserable gameplay though.
Because that’s how it functions. When Gilded Drake enters the battlefield, exchange control of Gilded Drake and up to one target creature an opponent controls. If you don’t or can’t make an exchange, sacrifice Gilded Drake. This ability still resolves if its target becomes illegal.
@@josuemunoz1993the key thing here is that Gilded Drake *doesn’t* have both players gain control of the opposing creatures, it explicitly has them exchange control. For an exchange to take place, both permanents have to be on the battlefield - since gilded drake dies to the bolt, no exchange can happen.
@@fnx.M Tymna is strong because Tymna draws you cards (and good colours) Thada is strong because the one ring draws you cards. I love the game plan of thada, especially as a casual player. My argument is that the one ring is way too strong and format warping.
first time seeing "Mandate of Peace" in cEDH (11:02), instant like!
That stifle graphic had to be the funniest thing I’ve seen in a cEDH vid ever!!! 😂😂😂
exactly what I was thinking of
That game 1 was disgusting... I loved it

I guess we will never see an EDH game without a resolved One Ring ever again
Correct.

He was rushing through his line a little bit and thought it was hullbreaker horror.
Never really thought about it before, but Halana can allow the creature to deal damage to itself
I loved that thada Adel game 1. Congrats to Alana! Very cool.

but what about the 13 odd cards it drew in that turn cycle?
Edit: i realised as soon as i hit send this was satire

Hah! Goodwon...
Such a bad card… why do people use it! She lost 4 life!!!!
acquitect's will is interesting as heck

Why didn't Shaun bounce Alana's lands back to her hand with Tidespout Tyrant?
to leave her with a little hope before slamming the door lol
Nice games! ❤❤❤ Have a Merry Christmas!
One ring terror
Hey, i
I feel like someone needs to tell you guys that lotho isn't pronounced, sherrif. It's shiriff. Because hes from the shire
Nah we knew. We just won’t pronounce it that way.
why didn't john pay his last life with image on the stack
How did lightning bolt stop builded drake from trading with the red commander?

@PlayingWithPowerMTG but lightning bolt doesn't prevent it entering the battlefield so it's etb should still take affect, right?

Man that was wild lol
I'm excited 😊
Thada Adel is only viable because it steals your opponents One Ring. Change my mind
But that's kinda like saying Tymna is only viable because she draws you cards.

@@fwop7436 yeah, I don't disagree! I was just jokingly pointing out that what your comment comes down to is "X is good because ".
Hobbits seem to be a bit useless. Necro, razaketh and still unable to win.
this is proof that stax just doesn't pay. you love to see stax decks lose. That is all. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Stax plus pressure is what wins game. Just having stax pieces isn't enough
Buuuut stax is all mono white has :(
