In the first game if Shaun saved his flames of anor until after the DC resolved he would been able to use the first mode to force Matt to draw from his emty library.
I came here to say the same thing and was trying to figure out why the kingmaking happened anyways, he had no reason to remove trinisphere if he was just gonna let him D Consult for sub 3 mana
@cristiancortes764 I'm sure he cast it to allow Cris to draw a card and hopefully have an answer for the consult ot thoracle. I don't think there was any kingmaking involved in the decision to remove the trinisphere
omg i literally had this typed out and then saw this comment hahahaha. yeah flame of anor onto Matt woulda been so fire
This would be the correct play. There's a risk that he is running Tainted Pact and he keeps some cards in library, but even if that is the case, you let him pay the full 3, and then he is locked out of interraction on 2 mana. Then, with pact/consult on stack, you can still cast the same spell, targetin trinisphere and draw effect.
he has infinite mana, all his cards and a brain freeze in deck, can just mill matt out and finale the rest of the table, we dk what kind of table talk goes on in a lot of these games, and if youre playing for a camera, id say the quicker cleaner play becomes more important
Shaun agrees to not attack Matt in the next turn cycle... then proceeds to kill him off through combat lol
Matt should've held onto that Cyclonic Rift instead of preemptively removing Narset
i guess lying is key in cEDH lmao
Cedh is about winning. Even though Shaun technically won via combat, it was an infinite mana line, so the actual method of winning is somewhat irrelevant.
@@chrisvanderheiden12 Correct, that was the easiest way, but he could have cast infinitely dargo with pingers and would have been the same result
see, point is he lied. doesnt matter what the result is. man should had kept his words. its probably not that serious but if that ever happen to me imma gonna spike play that player all the times from now lol
I guess my point was that (generally) there is am understanding in cedh that the "social contract" isn't a binding agreement in the same way as casual. There was a chance to win, it was taken. That is cedh. Not everyone likes that idea, that is okay.
Just noticed T.K. still has kinnan set as the commander when he was playing Narset 😅
Pwp: "T.K. plays his commander, Narset." Me: "wait what?"
Shaun could've used Flame of Anor to force Matt to draw two cards after Consultation resolved...
Francisco + Malcolm seems like a really interesting combo in both casual, and competitive.
Did shaun break his deal with matt
When he said he would not attack him that turn?
Or does the fact he have infinite matter?
At that point he had infinite mana, and every card in his deck in hand. he could have just used a combo that didn't require attacking to win, so the deal was basically moot.
Love to see this as I've been working on Francisco + Malcolm as my first foray into cEDH
I strongly believe that Francisco is best in a Mardu shell. I have a list I brewed and have been playing for a couple of months and it is extremely strong.
11:20 This got me chuckling at work. I like these small edits for the cEDH videos!
I want to build Francisco and Thrasios. I feel like there are good combos in these colors that aren't being seen as often like Hermit Druid and Witherbloom Apprentice lines that you could use as backup win conditions with thoracle and ballista lines being your main win conditions...
If the wincon will always be Thoracle Consultation any Black/Blue Partners are viable in cEDH..
Another great game. The last few games have been fire. The Atraxa game, last post and this game were all exciting to watch.
I’m clearly missing something, but why didn’t Matt cast the “force of will” he revealed off of his ad naus to stop Shaun from winning?
The flame of anor punt game 1 was bad enough, but I have to be overlooking something here
"A good day to pie" is the best card to name
Yo that 3-ball from T.K. was 💯🤌 quite unlucky that there was a force on the creature payoff tbh…
And then that Dargo Thras win was HOT. Love me some J-Will!
Any chance of a restock for the PWP card sleeves soon?
Shaun broke his deal with Matt. DO NOT ATTACK ME NEXT TURN
T.y. so much for sending me all those coins! You da man! ❤❤❤
No problem 👍
Francisco is fun, I've been toying with ideas for a Francisco/Keleth/Lurrus build
You should try out my Francisco/Akiri+Lurrus list. It's really good.
@@jd7391do you have a link?
I don't make much sense of this, could someone explain what other card is being used in this combo with agathas soul cauldron and walking ballista?
Francisco
Amazing games as always!
(Game 2, T.K is playing Narset, not Kinnan)
Dargo + Cisco ❤
Full throttle turbo naus
Game 1Cris didnt have metalcraft to use opal
Why tf Shaun destroyed the trinisphere? He should just made Matt draw 2 cards with the empty library.
Yeah, that move confused the heck out of me. It's like he just felt like doing something before the game ended.
Im suprised on this channel. Is there a reason not to wait for demonic consultation to resolve and then cast the red elemental blast? That way the player is just out of options for the game and loses on the upkeep. maybe I'm missing something??
The Thassa's Oracle would be resolved and on the battlefield with the trigger on the stack by the time Demonic Consultation is cast, so Red Elemental Blast would only be able to destroy Thassa's Oracle, which doesn't stop the trigger from winning the game.
Oh man Shaun told him he would attack him next turn cycle and lied lmaooooo
Isnt the UI wrong for the second game , TK is still on Kinnan on game 2 UI while he play Narset
where is the narset list?
love to see francisco
Uhm, why no flame of anor in response to the resolution of demonic? So he just loses instead of winning
I’m guessing he didn’t see that it was “target player” draws 2
@@craigfernandez4433 yeah I guess it's not a super played card haha. Good game anyway!
I feel like even if you make a promise not to attack for a round, if you have the win you go for it no matter what.
Well played!
I'm first?
