Still love this song in 2024
Simply Beautiful.
These guys were part of a wave of independent singer /songwriters . They gave country music a much needed pick me up . The mid to late'80's were a magical time for country music. People were tired of the Urban Cowboy schmaltz . So Nashville got the memo via declining record sales . 1986 saw Dwight Yoakham,Lyle Lovett,Randy Travis and Steve Earle all release their debut albums . Foster and Lloyd's debut came out in 1987. The music was real and new traditionalists ruled the charts til the mid'90's
Man that was a great album
Bill Lloyd is a powerpop god!
Radney Foster was so cute
My fav!
F&L were the best. Them and The O'Kanes ruled the late 80s singer songwriter duo's.
I saw them open for Roy Orbison at the Oakdale in Wallingford CT in the 1980's. I liked them as soon as I heard them.
Fosters vocals are just so smooth. Love this dude!
Radney Foster was and still is a visionary artist..thank you for posting!
The great Bruce Bouton on steel guitar.
Imagine this video with John C. Reilly as Lloyd and Jason Statham on the steel. You'll never unsee it.
Incredible talent!, Incredible songs,!
always liked this
Still love this song in 2022
Awesome steelguitar
Bruce Bouton, played on all the old Ricky Skaggs records
Great ! Thanks for posting.
Awesome.
Awesome song
Dig the Marshall Crenshaw solo on the studio version!
I had thought the chorus was saying, "Tie my shoe string".
That's funny
God is Love
