Always thought Foster and Lloyd were very underrated artists, and with Vince, its pure gold...
MB They were very underrated.
Very underrated. They're also great songwriters. Not only did they write their own material they wrote for others, including the Sweethearts of the Rodeo. Very talented guys.
Hugely underrated!
F and L still sound incredible all these years later! Radio really blew it by ignoring these guys. Gill really is the icing on the cake.
They got airplay for a 2-3 year period but you're right country music didn't know what to do with them so they ignored them for the most part. They were different than any other artist at the time.
My favorite country duo of all time, and just an outstanding solo from Vince. I believe Radney is supporting a semi-Mullet as well. These were the days when the coolest Dude on the planet Mel Gibson, had a super mullet. Believ this, it is true, Bill can play as well as Vince on guitifddle, just a bit more eclectic. Bill is titled somewhere as the minister of retro-revisionist manifesto...He simply wants to explode on solos. Amazing trio! Love You guys!!! Johnboy Martin
Vince was and is a fabulous guitar player and awesome artist
Vince Gill presented with five of his favorite new guitarists last night at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville...I ran into my friend Bill LLOYD in the audience...amazing talents all!!!!
Yay!
Vince Gill -- one of the best slingers in Nashville for three decades. What a player.
Vince Gill adds something more to whatever song he touches. Gifted son of a gun...
Had all 3 on RCA
Love this song and never heard them until tonight.
On the album, they credit Vince as playing "the encyclopedia of twang" on this song. I think it fits.
They should've been a trio since he worked on all their albums.
What a great song.
By this time Vince had been awarded by ACM for the best new male vocalist. It is too bad that he did not play a larger part in this show. Love his solo with his guitar!
Well Vince only plated on one song of F & L album so I understand why he only played on 1 song.
That was great! FANTASTIC guitar pick"n by Mr. Vice Gill. Thanks for posting !
@friskybiscuits Vince is really eclectic as well remember Vince didn't start out in country he started in Bluegrass onto Pure Prarie Leauge the guy has jammed with Clapton and Mark Knopfler that pretty much says it.
Man Vince Gill can play a guitar!
number 6 country tune and catchy too
Hey Vince -- NICE MULLET!!
