B-Mode Explanation is _wrong_! It is very common that people get it wrong. B enables Engine-Braking mode. It is only to be used on looong descents when the battery would be fully charged rapidly. It will mainly save wear on the disc brakes.
Just bought a Toyota Yaris Hybrid...best car going for me at the present time... £0 road tax...great economy...fun to drive..great in EV mode around town..
This man had absolutely no clue how the yaris' engine worked. As if he was almost disinterested to detail about it. This is why Brian Cooley's reviews differ to all the rest.
The maximum limit for congestion charge exemption is 75g/Km CO2 but the Yaris specifications say 79g/Km. How does it avoid the daily congestion charge? Also, the video says Prius users pay congestion charge, which is not true for plug-in Prius models. Am I missing something?
I found that this website: carfueldata.dft.gov.uk/ provides the DVLA official values (for UK). In particular all Yaris models are above the 75g/Km limit, except from these 2015 models which are at 75g/Km: - Yaris Icon 1.5 VVT-i E-CVT - Yaris Excel 1.5 E-CVT 15'' wheels - Yaris Icon 1.5 hybrid E-CVT 15'' wheels Hope this can be helpful.
I believe it's a coal powerplant with cooling towers. They're typically associated with nuclear power plants, but can be used with pretty much any thermal power plant.
I cannot agree with this review, I have one as a company car and it is nowhere near as economical as they say. I'm struggling to get 54mpg (I have a 104 mile daily round trip) I am very light on the accelerator and brake and in my previous car a fiesta diesel I managed 76mpg regularly. The brakes are terrible, spongy feeling and more like a switch in operation either on or off. It has been back to the dealer twice already. All in all I am very dissapointed with this car and I'm stuck with it for the next 4 years.
@@deleterguy Hello Brent, I did not want this car as I owned a much better car but I could only take the job with a company car, I do not have the means to run/store two cars.
Thanks for this. In Japan, the MAXIMUM price for a Yaris' (which is called the Vitz there) goes up to 1.9m Yen (= GBP 11,300). The Japanese market also gets a Yaris 1.33 litre with an Atkinson cycle. This is 20% more economical than the current Euro-1.33 litre. Europe has still not received this engine. The Yaris just too expensive for what it is
Because it’s not a massive box inside with little to it, all plastic, unnecessarily big for what it is & have suspension that breaks your back! Minis are horrid!

finally :) great you've mention it.. Many reviewers make that mistake.
The hybrid with the nuclear station in the background was really good.
Nuclear centrals are one of the best ways to obtain energy
my thoughts exactly!
Is this France?

That's great to hear. I learnt to drive in a Toyota Yaris Hybrid and I agree - it's a fun drive!
How is the gearbox?
Absolutely awesome.
It's smooth with no jerky gear changes.
''It almost cheaper than walking '' !! Amen !!

Brazil is calling Toyota Yaris to come here to stay :)
B means Engine brake not recharge. Put to D and light brake you will get higher MPG. Never use B, B for Bullcrap
Best looking Toyota ever
have you heard of the supra?
Why does here in Canada the new yaris look so boring? they always have the best looking versions of cars here....

Wasn`t the B-position in gearbox for a mountain conditions...
It's for regenerative braking
vaya panorama que tienes detras. muy ecológico...
2:17 85.6mpg wtf? that's like double the economy than my 2002 honda fit lul they sure have improved a lot on economy
I got 76mpg out of an older shape 1.4 d4d 2006 model according to the trip computer.....
If you're talking US mpg, it's different...
@@georgiepeorgie3315 yes the old 1.4 d4d diesel use to give me mpg like no car. Given its age, it competes and beats many 2020 models
what's the name of the song? the one used at the beginning when showing the aygo?
It's from a music library, not a released song you can buy.
Which? okay from where did you buy it? i mean a website...??

thanks :)
That´s one huge car lol... Then he stands next to it.
Cheap the walking... not any more. In uk 2014 hybrid 75000 on the clock cost around between 9k and 10k
His voice sounds like Honest John. His son perhaps?
Honest son. :-)
interesting little motor but what a dull video
The best car ever
the yaris doesn't pay congestion charge in central London!? why not?
hybrid
Emissions are below limit.
Düsseldorf Germany!
First time there. It was really impressive.
why have a nuclear powerplant in the background though?
Juxtaposition. There are also turbines in some of the shots, but they were quite far away from where we were so not ideal for the main shot.

Dean Prosser be happy that you’re getting a car.
Sounds like there’s something wrong with your brakes, I’ve driven a 2015 & newly own a 2014 and neither did that!

This Yaris Hybrid is more expensive than a Mini Cooper in the UK. Why would I buy this over a Mini cooper?
Thanks for this.

Mini is fragile, dangerous and way less reliable.
