Hi, just a tip from the deep south... never twist your biscuit cutter when cutting your biscuit...it will prevent your biscuit from rising to its full potential...
This☝🏻! And place those biscuits so they're touching, they kinda cling to each other and rise up together nicely.
@@veevee111 I agree..
Thank you!! Will apply that next time ❤️
These biscuits look like a must make👍😋. I've never made biscuits before but I will try your recipe Laura. Thank you🙏👏👏😊
Yes, I noticed that mistake too. They’re not biscuits either, they’re scones.
OMG!!!!! I'm drooling! And yes! I learned that bacon trick from you, Laura. And morrreeeee. Love yah
I've never made a recipe so fast. These were such a hit!! Granted I didn't let them chill for quite a full hour, but still turned out fantastic!
10:31 sent me! 😂 Nothing is more relatable than fist slamming a counter when something tastes so good! 😂
Hi Laura 🥰 Love your sweater. Color looks fabulous on you and your apron is divine. Cheddar bacon biscuits sound so good right now. Thank for this recipe and the tip on the bacon.
Oh my goodness... this looks positively delicious!
I am making these for Father’s Day! Thank you!
I made these biscuits three times so far. It is amazing!!
*You are Incredible!!! We love your videos!!*
Hi Laura these biscuits look amazing, thanks for sharing this recipe with us ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Laura ... we are friends because girl.. I CANNOT resist a hot biscuit right out of oven . yum yum yum. these look AMAZING! i want one right now!😋😘
I make something similar but the low-carb version with almond flour instead of regular flour. It works great as a topping for chicken pot pie too!!
Omg I need to make these! I may add Trader Joes hot and sweet jalapeños 😮
These look amazing!😍🔥🔥
We are definitely friends, Laura... These biscuits look absolutely amazing!
Ummm this looks just… amazing!!
Oh Laura…I have NO words either!!!😅….these biscuits are dynamite👏👏, I can’t stay away from biscuits hot out of the oven, so we are friends for life!!😆😆❤️❤️
Made these just now with the maple butter. Superb!
we in UK would call them cheese and onion scones look tasty
They really look gorgeous! 😊
I can’t wait to make these!! Thank you Laura ❤
You will love them
Looks absolutely delicious!!
Beautiful biscuits, indeed 🙌🏻🤩
❤❤❤❤Love biscuits. These look delicious.
oh my yummy
Making this now...easy to make...can't wait for them to go in oven so that my hubby and I smear tons of butter on them! Love your reaction when you took the first and second bites pounding the counter!! Lol you reminded me of my sweet estranged daughter as that is what her reactions to good cooking and baking were. I must have cried and laughed a few times over and over as I rewound the video....thank you for bringing me back to when we were together having so much fun and laughter. ❤❤
Gurl they look so freaking delicious. Can't wait to try. Love the maple butter. ❤❤😂😮
Oh my goodness Laura these look delicious i cannot wait to make these ❤
My mouth is watering yum 🤤
Brilliant tip about bacon!

I am seriously happy you showed us your stained sheet pan. I never get how everyone has sheet pans that are spotless.
I love you Laura! your personality is awesome friend
I roll up each individual rasher of bacon and put them in a ziplock bag and then the freezer so I can easily take one or two every time. Those biscuits look scrumptious! I'm so going to make them in the coming weeks.
Tip. Pop your butter in the freezer and grate it into your flour with your box grater for perfect pea sized buttermilk
Typo butter
@@sheneetaj1I thought so because that's what I do to my butter also 😊. By the way, you can always go back and edit your comment by clicking on the 3 dots to the right of your comment.
would be perfect for a casserole topping
OmG! I’m in love. I’m so going to make these. Damn the low carb diet!!
Love the kitchen just found you again
Omg DROOL!!! 🤤
My trick for freezing bacon is to line them on a parchment paper individually with a space between each then I roll the parchment paper up and use a scissor to cut the space. Now they’re all individually wrapped. I stand them up in a container and freeze so whenever I need one or only a few strips, I just take them out individually without having to thaw them all.
Good one!!
Yummy on the biscuits 😊I’d omit the maple syrup butter (not very Southern ) and serve with sausage gravy or tomato gravy !!
I think they'd be good split open with butter as a breakfast sandwich with an egg in the center.
I'm thinking buttermilk fried chicken tenders with hot honey!
@@Susan-cooks That too if you like sweet flavor. I'm more of a fan of savory flavors especially if something has cheese in it. The exception would be hot pepper jelly on Brie cheese.
My god yesssss
OMGGGGG YOURE KILLING MEEEEEE I NEED THAT!! 😮💨😮💨
@@LauraintheKitchen LOL In fact you could add a piece of brie with the egg or mix it into the egg and make scrambled and put the scrambled egg with brie into into the split open buttered biscuit.
Good video 👍🏻
Not only did Laura give us a great recipe she also gave us a science lesson 😂😂
We are friends cause I love a good warm Biscuit and homemade is even better they are my weakness. thanks so much for the recipe. I want some right now.
You will LOVEEEEE these!!
@@LauraintheKitchen thanks and I know I will. sweet friend I appreciate you always my lovely friend. have a beautiful day.
Yumm❤
I’m going to have to break my diet over these. I hope you’re happy!!😂
I LOVE your apron.....can you share where you got it?
tip from a Canadian, never keep your maple syrup in a plastic container, keep it in a glass container. Looks like a great recipe, am not good at making that kind of biscuit, but i am willing to try
Love these biscuits! I just went to Red Lobster and ate 4 of them!! Even bought extra for home!!
I’m going to try to make this tomorrow I have never made biscuits before well pillsbury doesn’t count 😅
Can we be friends forever! Love you Laura ❤ can’t wait to make them
We are forever besties
Hi Laura thanks for another great recipe video I have a question for you I'm thinking about making a sausage and spinach lasagna do you think I should use a sausage with sage in it? Thanks again for this video
Laura, you had me intrigued at “bacon cheddar” bay biscuits, but when you pulled out the maple syrup for the butter…🤯🤯
Oh, my word…😂
In Australia we call these Savoury scones
Could this be made without the bacon? Same amount of cheese or more?
😋
Hi Laura, I love your videos and your recipes. For some reason when you first post your TH-cam video the recipe is not available yet on your website for a day or so. Any chance they can happen together so I can print recipes at the time so I can give them a try? Thanks a million
This is a significant upgrade to the original recipe. I wouldn't want to speak out of turn, but the ONE recipe that I hope never changes is your garlic bread recipe. OMG, every time I serve that it's lights out. I promise this goes in with my first smoked pork shoulder of the spring.
But she no delete her old recipes she can do any play with her recipes and is up to you to pick any that you want.
These look great. Just wondering, can you prep the dough the day before cooking? xx
Absolutely
They look lovely! But how can I prep a night before to serve them in the morning?
Bake them in the morning but make the dough the night before
can the mixture be overnight in the refrigerator and bake it the next morning?
What is the MN measurements of everything, how much flower rtc
So Laura UK here you mentioned Self Raising Flour is it ok for us to use that without any further raising agents or would you suggest we add them still or just use plain with them? They look yum, tfs
our self-rising flour has salt added. I've read self-raising flour might not so might have to add it.
Do you have a good easy recipe for Bacon, Cheddar Muffins, Laura?
Can you make the dough up. And leave in fridge over night?
Absolutely
👍👍👍😍❤️
Looks yummy. But I've been told that you should never twist your cutter down when cutting your biscuit dough. You'll get more of a rise without twisting.
Hey Laura, this looks amazing! I was gonna write down the ingredients for my shopping list, but I’m confused, because on your website it says you have to use heavy cream and an egg..? And in the video you use buttermilk instead of that
Best friends LOL
😂
The recipe on your website doesn't say anything about buttermilk.. its also called Scones, is this the same recipe? Ty!
Just grate the frozen/cold butter.
😋🙏🏼
Could this be made (the dough) a few days ahead and kept in the fridge?
Absolutely
@@LauraintheKitchenfantastic. Thank you!
Here’s a tip for you. Pre- cut your bacon in the amounts you want, and store in freezer bags❤
if you roll out a rectangle cut your biscuits square. no refolding dough.
Truth but that circle shape is just so iconic
First viewer 😂
The link to the recipe is not in the description. "PRINTABLE RECIPE" is the link to the Cookbook.
Let me check
the printable recipe doesn't show up in the search on the website.. pls help
Hang on I’ll check
Can anyone help? 😢
I made the dough this morning and put it wrapped in the fridge but now it’s turned grey!! Google says it’s safe but I need to know why this happened so quickly and will they still be grey after baking? I recently moved to a new place so I’m not sure if it’s the environment but my dough never turned grey before
I made these today without the bacon with the maple butter and it was SO good!! My family and I really enjoyed them. We ate some and froze the rest and they reheat well.
I believe the recipe on the website is not for this particular one. The photo doesn't look the same and it doesn't say buttermilk, but heavy cream. TIA!
Not me trying to yell “shallots” around 0:38 as if you could hear me 😅
Hahahahaha
My husband is still shocked after 20 years that I still eat piping hot food.😅😅
Literally same 😂
I don't know if it's me or the recipe but the dry:wet ratio doesn't work for me. Made this two weeks ago with whole spelt flour and the dough was wayyyyyy too wet and sticky, not at all like yours. I actually ended up throwing it out. I assumed it was because of the flour I used so today I made it with plain all purpose flour. I ended up using 1/2 the amount of butter milk and it seems just right, maybe even a little less liquid would have been better, but a full cup would definitely ruin it again. Does anyone else have the same experience? Could just be the difference between US and European ingredients but I don't think it would be this extreme
Step 1: Double recipe.
Step 2: Make recipe twice and freeze the second batch.
When you don’t tell me how much to use I move on sorry thanks for your time
Scones. They are cheese scones. This is from the country where Cheddar is a place and where the original cheese is made. U.K. they are scones.
To America, these are biscuits.
I miss biscuits. I'm carnivore now. I can't eat this poison anymore. 😢😢😢
