I can kiiinda see what Rin might be saying. She says it sounds good to be a monster, but it's never stated why. I think the line "It doesn't hurt now, right?" is basically what it means. This line basically sums up Rin's personality. On the surface it appears cold, bordering on cruel. However, if you think about it for a bit, or look a bit deeper you can see that isn't true. She's basically saying "You're a monster? Good. It probably doesn't hurt anymore." Also, to anyone saying Rin doesn't know suffering, sorry, that's not how that works. You can't discount someone's suffering with someone else's suffering. It's like saying "You may have broken your arm, but I broke my legs.", or "You may have been dumped, but I was raped." What needs to happen is everyone looking out for and helping each other. Not having some competition over suffering.
It's not competition over suffering, but basic understanding that there are obviously different levels of suffering. Getting pinched in the arm is not the same as getting the arm broken. Getting called stupid is not the same as getting beaten up. Feeling lonely and not special is not the same as getting raped by worms in a basement for 11 years straight ever since you were 5 years old. Rin was extremely deaf in this scene, acting with no empathy towards Sakura and even trying to pretend like her first world problems are even remotely comparable to the hell Sakura went through. Silly ass, disrespectful writing full of plot contrivancies. I don't know what Nasu was smoking and why he didn't delete it yet. It's never too late.
Neither character in this situation is at fault. Circumstances are one hell of a bitch and they hit these two like trucks. Both Rin and Sakura had to deal with traumatic shit at a young age, which both greatly influenced how they went through life. Both of them drew short ends of the stick, Sakura more so than Rin yes, but both got screwed. Yes, Rin was incredibly cold towards her sister in this route, but she had reason to do so. Sakura was an incredible threat to so many, and she was trying to do what had to be done as a magus to protect a lot of people, yet the entire route showed that conflict she had; for gods sake we see moments where the two get along and act like sisters in some fashion around each other. Yes, Sakura really had it bad with the Matou. Does that justify her actions? No, it doesn't, since the only people truly responsible were Tokiomi and Zouken, and Sakura can't do anything to either of them. Neither of them are at fault for what transpired. They are merely victims of circumstance, and have to pay the price for it. And the infamous moment where Rin brushes off Sakura is merely a culmination of the every bit of trauma in the past and in the route, and when Rin hugs Sakura is that needed resolution that they both couldn't seem to ever talk about. I frankly love this scene because of that
Just about the most humane of the magi in the series, to be fair. She's actually much kinder than she lets on (as evident in the conclusion of this scene, or her route).
People are so blind and subconscious to the reality behind this scene. You cannot simply stamp down which character between Sakura and Rin is better, or who’s gone through far more pain that the other had to go through. They are both •human•. It is normal for one to be in pain, and express emotion. Yes, Sakura has endured pain longer than Rin, but that does not mean who have the rights to say that just because Rin didn’t experience pain longer than Sakura, does not mean she doesn’t have a clue what pain is. Look at the realistic side to this, so you might actually understand the characters more (I’m talking to you Sakura and/or Rin haters). Rin is •not• a bitch. Sakura is •not• weak. Let that sink in and use your godamn heads for a second.
Both characters were terribly written in this horrendous scene. Nasu just dropped the ball terribly here and that's the truth. That's why there is so many arguments. It's just bad writing and plot contrivancies. Nothing in this scene makes sense. Sakura appearing as weak and insecure when two days ago she almost killed Rin no problem when Avenger had less control over her and was weaker than now? How? Rin acting like some bitch girl boss powerpuff girl saving the day with some BS "yeah Sakura I know you have been raped by worms since you were 5, b-but I was lonely." What a silly ass writing. The worst scene in the entire VN.
After what they did in the second movie the only thing I expect it’s that they will mess this up… But deep within me I have the hope for the 3rd movie to be as perfect as the hype for the first movie were at the time.
Some ppl here are so dumb lmao. Rin had no clues what Sakura has been going through before the moment. So it’s not her fault to not help Sakura out of Matou residence if she didn’t even know what hell Sakura had to deal in in the first place. And Rin isn’t some innocent girl like character (like some redheaded dude around here lol) who would go straight help her sister instead of protect ppl all around the city or even country. She’s a magus in charge of taking care of Fuyuki city as well. She can’t just ditch the whole bunch of ppl and let Sakura killed them just bc they’re bound by bloodline. That’s hilarious. For me, considering they weren’t raised together is enough of a reason for Rin to not show her loves to Sakura. They aren’t even that close not to mention Rin’s personalities are quite not straight forward or show her emotions to others, so strict to what she believes is right is the best thing for Rin to do. Why are you surprised? Though, Rin still loves Sakura. Deeply I’d say. Her loves for Sakura is shown multiple times in VN and Animation yet some of you are blinded with Envy and Anger to the point you miss them. First, Rin helped Shirou and saved his life. Not just for herself to not feel guilty (at first she’s gonna let him die because of magus rules) but mainly for Sakura’s sake. Well, it’s half her responsibility to look out before she started the fight but who the fuck is gonna predict Shirou is gonna be there. It’s late, School’s closed and teachers told all of students to go back home quick. That dude is beyond helps. But she willingly loses her father 10 years mana in the pendant to help save his life. Just for Sakura to not cry over her crush’s death. Second, she always *stalks* Sakura if she has any chances, she’d look after her in the dark. That’s creepy side of her shows us how much she actually cares. And many more scenes, If you haven’t noticed, well you’re blind. If I was Rin, I’d not care that much. We’re not raised together after 8-10 years old or sth. They never have any reasons to keep in touch. Sakura never asked for help. So why is it Rin’s fault to not help her? Sakura didn’t ask. Rin never noticed. To be fair, there’s no one to blame except the Matou’s and Rin’s Dad.
@@44clemantine On one side, he did have a good justification. Magus kids that aren't the heir are pretty much painted with a target on their backs as perfect experiment materials, and the association is not gonna get on your side because the kid isn't the heir, what happens to him is not their problem. This is a thing for even normal heirs, but not only does Sakura have way more talent than most maguses, she has a special attribute that would make her a golden egg for any researcher. Finding being a magus as the best thing in life and knowing this danger while having no clue what Zouken would really do, he didn't think twice about handing her over. As for Rin, you gotta remember that Rin is a pretty emotional girl deep down. In the spawn of a few weeks she went from a very happy family to her father dead, her mom going utterly crazy and her sister being thrown where she couldn't reach her, plus her uncle just disappearing after looking like he was half dead. Sakura being alive, no matter how little contact they had, was something dearly important to her. She's her only family, she's her dear sister she couldn't do anything for. It's easy to say after so long she would just not care, but again not only is she completely alone, Rin is more soft and emotional than she would ever care to admit. Sakura as well, merely saw her uncle try and save her and dying for it, becoming sure that trying to push back Zouken was nothing but a death sentence. All in all, neither is really at fault, they just had a shitty lot in life. Far too many kids receive abuse and can't open up about it no matter what, others aren't believed. It's a fact of life, not just something Sakura pulled out of her butt. So even though her feelings are misguided and Rin has not a drop of fault, it's very normal that she'd hate or blame her for not saving her.
You know, sakura wouldn't have went off the deep end if rin just admitted she love and cared for her from the start. Sakura's abuse (both physical and mental) left the poor girl with a lot of self-esteem and dependency issues which could all literally have been solved if rin dropped her tsundere for 5 sec to tell sakura her true feelings just a simple heart to heart talk. Yet it took her nearly killing her sister to realize she actually loved sakura. As an older brother myself I really wanted to slap rin in the face multiple times in this route for her stupidity (an she calls shirou stupid)
Force Edge 200 Finally someone else realizes it! Everyone else always focuses on how Sakura was 'weak' for going off the deep end instead of realizing that the entire thing could have been avoided if Rin stopped being such a bitch.
I know right!? People act like getting raped at the age of SIX by WORMS and her adoptive family means nothing and her going crazy is just her being "weak", when Sakura prevented herself from going crazy for TEN fucking years! Why? Cause she was already broken by the end of the 4th grail war; you can't go crazy from despair if you had no hope from the beginning. Then when Rin finds the worm chamber her first thoughts are that she experienced worse then that but in the last bad ending when Sakura eats her and makes her go through the same torture she went through; Rin is screaming to let her out on the first day.
Force Edge 200 Agreed, people judge characters in shows by ridiculous standards instead of trying to put themselves in the characters shoes. Also, when Rin told Sakura that she did not care what she had been through, let's just say that you were not the only one who wanted to hit her.
sakura is basically a rape victim and all her self esteem issues are what other rape victims go through yet when she wants to have sex with Shirou because he LOVES her; people call her a slut when she is not

I have very little knowledge about the Nasuverse so i really need to ask: Isn´t Sakura capable of eat mana with the shadows? if thats the case, Why isn´t she just eating Zelretch´s attacks, aren't those made of mana? an explination would be very apreciated.
Kirei and Bazette. Their magecraft abilities may be inferior, but their combat experience is vastly superior. Medea enhanced Souichirou would absolutely dumpster her. Unenhanced Souichirou might still beat her, but if the fight goes out of melee range or she gets any time to think his odds drastically decline. Medea would dumpster her in a pure battle of magecraft. Zouken would dumpster her, but Zouken can dumpster Servants so that's hardly a mark against her. Shirou after UBW could eke out a win, but I doubt Fate Shirou could, and we don't know what shape post HF Shirou is in so he could be magically crippled or dispossessed of all the abilities he gained from Archer's arm. Sakura, Shinji, and Ilya without external factors and ignoring anime shenanigans (like UBW Ilya's hair bird/sword constructs) pose little threat to Rin. We don't know much about Atomic Gatorade and his abilities, but as he seems to be an unfortunate combination of arrogant and dumb I'd say Rin would probably win.
Sakura cause of her magick affinity being with Imaginary Numbers, Shirou cause of his projections, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand...that’s about it. I doubt Kuzuki, and especially Shinji and Kirei could beat her in a magick duel. Caster maybe if she stuck to long range. I say Caster cause she’s technically master despite being a Servant
@@yaboigamerdouji7573 Hunting down mages used to be Kirei's dayjob. He actually fucks Rin up pretty bad in Fate Route. Being a better magus does not mean you are a better fighter. This was aptly demonstrated in Zero with Kayneth and in FSN itself when Rin beat the piss out of Caster by burning up years of stockpiled work and resources just to take the battle out of a fight between mages. Even then Caster was still physically superior to Rin, but Caster lacks the skill to fight her way out of a wet paper bag so Rin was able to just "No, Punch Good" on her. It's actually pretty common in Nasu works. I'm pretty sure every magus Aoko fights in Mahoyo is better than her, but she wins anyhow because she's really good at just throwing more power at her problems. I mean yeah she had to cheat for that to work against Touko, but this is Touko we're talking about here.
***** Yeah, you keep telling yourself that even when it's flat-out stated and confirmed by our omnipotent narrator, and shown multiple times by her actions. Cut the white-knight crap, it's not an opinion, it's a fact you should know if you actually read the VN. I did. That's why I know this is fact, not opinion. Do I need to link the damn images for you?
***** Stop writing fucking essays, man. You only enforce how much of a fucking white knight you are with how fervent and desperate you are to defend her.
***** Writing to the greatest extent you are capable of in a youtube comment (or should I now say "essay"?) section is just about the zenith of stupidty. The only thing more stupid would be to read one of your essays.
Both sisters are in the wrong here. Rin could have chosen much, much better words and be honest with herself. And Sakura could have... Stayed good, let's put it at that.
If you spent your childhood being tortured and violated in unimaginably horrifying ways you'd probably have a hard time 'staying good' too. Rin didn't have it as bad, but she still had to raise herself and take care of her mentally ill mother with her only support being a sociopathic priest. Yes, both are in the wrong, but both are the products of their environments until their reconciliation here.
"As for Sakura, yes, she did make mistakes. However, Sakura has extraordinarily good excuses for her mistakes" Why do white knights always think everything horrible she's done is totally fine because she had a horrible life? Every character in the series had a horrible life. Sakura's the only one so selfish that she pretended to have a split personality to try to kill literally everyone that genuinely and deeply cared about her. She almost killed Rin, she tried to kill Shirou who was saved by Rider, and then she tried to kill Rider. For obeying her previous orders. Sakura being raped a lot changes nothing. She's selfish and sadistic, Kotomine figured that out himself and the omnipresent narrator confirmed it, saying "He's absolutely right." Here's a fact that is completely undebatable: Sakura is a truly selfish violent killer. The end. There is absolutely no excuse or "no, it's an unreliable narrator" because the narrator has never been unreliable. Sakura. Is. Selfish. And. Sadistic. Her being wormed and raped doesn't mean it's totally cool that she tries to kill the ones trying to save her. Even though saving her is a far more difficult way to end things! They go out of their way for her, knowing it'll be even more suicidal, but they do it anyways. For her. How does she respond? Oh, right, she pretends to have another personality to excuse her trying to kill them. Fuck Sakura, and fuck her white knights. She is a monster, Angra Mainyu is not the one who made her like this.
***** Yeah, saw that classic buzzword "strawman", already laughing at you. And 78 lines? Yeah, no. Thanks for proving my point that you're an extreme white knight. How else would you explain how you're so butthurt that you wrote an essay on youtube to defend some fictional bitch's honor? You are hilarious. Feel free to insult me for not reading your 78 line post, it's not my fault you were dumb enough to write it. Enjoy reading your own work, my brave knight. I'm sure your fictional meek victim girl loves you for your protection.
***** AHAHA, you're adorable. Oh wow, that's cute. You edited your comment to make yourself look less ridiculous after writing 78 lines. What, you finally realized your fictional meek heroine wouldn't reward you with sex?
***** Well I can't make a counter argument when you immediately delete yours, can I? Then oh wow, after deleting your 78 line comment in shame you put it pack up just so you could give me shit for saying nothing? So obvious. Do you think anyone's going to read your youtube essay? You're cute. I don't care enough to read a 78 line youtube essay. I'm still in disbelief that you wrote it. If this means "victory" to you, you win. Now go ponder why the fuck you wrote a 78 line long youtube essay. Then feel stupid, like you should.
***** Well naturally, you edited it out. We both know it's true, though, obviously. But hey, the ~2 people that may see this comment chain won't see any proof so you still look good! For... Yourself.
No, because not everyone feels the need to white knight a selfish, cruel bitch like Sakura just because she has a sobstory that triggers white-knighting.
Sakura: How are you getting all of this magical energy!?
Rin: To answer that, we need to talk about parallel worlds

That dagger probably could kill her like the azoth sword, one word and it explodes.
The dagger is practically invincible because Rin as it and knows how to use it. Sakura is inexperienced, but strong.
She's not afraid of the dagger, she's afraid of dying. She knows it's gonna be a killing blow because her opponent is tohsaka rin.
I think it was the heat of the moment.
Rin for life!

I have very little knowledge about the Nasuverse so i really need to ask: Isn´t Sakura capable of eat mana with the shadows? if thats the case, Why isn´t she just eating Zelretch´s attacks, aren't those made of mana? an explination would be very apreciated.
She doesn’t absorb the mana of the attacks, she can absorb servants and convert them to mana though
@@myspacebarbrokenevermindif9892 So that means that Shirou UBW could "nuke" her with Caladbolg if he wanted to?

ok so since Rin's character is quite strong, not counting their servants interfering, which Masters could defeat her 1 v 1?
Sakura.....at the most. maybe. In terms of raw power levels. That's of course if we're talking about HGW masters and not just Mages in general
@@duddude321 It was obviously a sneak attack. No way in hell Rin would just let herself get attacked so hard she looked dead

this music sounds like the game version of disillusion..

This is the original version, called "This Illusion."
Love it when Sakura is put in her place during her childish rants.
+cordlc More like Rin wins that argument, Sakura was basically "blah blah blah, my life is horrible" and Rin was basically "I don't give a fuck".

The *BLACK GIRL* stares...
Both sisters are in the wrong here.
Rin could have chosen much, much better words and be honest with herself.
And Sakura could have... Stayed good, let's put it at that.
I mean, Angra mainyu..
Why is Rin so based?
Even on Sakura's Route, RIn is still better
"As for Sakura, yes, she did make mistakes. However, Sakura has extraordinarily good excuses for her mistakes"
Why do white knights always think everything horrible she's done is totally fine because she had a horrible life?
For... Yourself.
