this really was depressing, you spend 2 routes learning about Saber, who she is, her past, her dreams, and here we have Shirou, the guy she falls in love with in the first route, kill her so he can move forward, her happy ending in this route was Shirou putting her out of her misery
@@unlocked-dragon7541 yeah it is but its quite sad how they got together. I've just watched the last movie and i still can't wrap my head around how the animator is able to visualize this scene the way they did it in the movie.
There are generally 2 ways to use Rho Aias, both have been demonstrated by Archer: First is to project the shield directly in front of you, like when he block Gae Bolg in UBW route; Or Archer can also project the same shield from afar, like when he project a 5-petals Aias to protect Shirou during his chant. In the Visual Novel, what happened is that Shirou remotely project the shield in front of Rider to act as an arrow head, protecting Rider from a direct hit against Excalibur (knowing that in the first route, Rider got vaporized by Excalibur also while using Bellerophon). The agony from projection comes from his internal monologue, which is conveniently also his POV here, so it's quite easy to sort out. In the movie version however, projecting a shield remotely is possible, but the internal monologues isn't readily available like in the Visual Novel. Therefore, the film director resorted to having Rider just head-first into Excali-blast, with Shirou seemingly protects Rider's NP wind-up instead, all the while showing sword sprouting from his arms and putting all his suffering on display, albeit briefly (there is an argument to be made about Rider also "takes" the shield with her as she is charging forward into it). Afterall, potraying Shirou's agony from using Archer's arm, which is fully captured in the VN, proves to a be a difficult task for the movies. They gotta try their best.
for me, this best way, shirou will fight here for what he believes and loves, and so will have to crush most of the war servants, shirou has my respect, even in the face of formidable enemies, he was not afraid and fought, he abandoned his ideals and his morals, the more he will end this war, and stay with the one he loves. Shirou has always been a good character to me, because he has various traits of humanity, he has doubts and is always being questioned, but even so he fights for what he believes.
Still brings tears to my eyes :( But, I think Saber accepted her death in the end - she could have easily tossed him off once she regained her bearings ("Saber looks at me coldly"), some part of her still remembered her feelings. Not really. The thing is, at this point she was neither bad nor good. She just really didn't care. It's a total lack of emotion, instead of something so simple like becoming evil.
SarzaelX That's what i meant. She's not evil in the least, but she's neither good as far as i remember. There may be a tiny speck of her former self left. But she was more of a emotionless killing machine by now than anything else.

The pacing in the last movie is horrendous. It's only actions and constant fighting without any explanations. I know the answer to that is to read the VN and I know it's hard to adapt everything but it just feels so empty.
LuxJam, there’s no purpose for it there. The 2 movies before hand don’t really go into any detail about Saber and Shirou’s relationship. The movies have to be paced in that way or it would just be an uninteresting mess. And I’m pretty sure I’d rather choose the scenes that we got which had an important role in the overall story then some random memories that would just confuse anime only’s when it doesn’t need to be here.
@@JMessham "random memories that would confuse anime only's" They put an anime original Heracles flashback of his life which was totally unnecessary and out of place. Instead, they could've used that time to place saber flashbacks here.
LuxJam, Berserker barely gets any development whatsoever as a character. That whole scene was a small tease into Hercules’ life before he became a heroic spirit, showing his twelve labours and his failure to protect his family. They also show how bloody mad he becomes when protecting Illya in the second movie so it’s a subtle hint to anyone paying attention as to what he strives to achieve even after being corrupted by the shadow. I mean his last words before he fades are literally “Protect her” metaphorically passing on the torch to Shirou.
@@luxjam1737 i don't really see the issue with the movies adaptation of the scene. It SHOWS Shirous pained expression. If anything id be annoyed that the movie skips over Shirou losing other important memories like the last night with Kiritisugu
No, not at all. Servants captured by Assassin are "eaten" and he takes their power and knowledge to become whole, hence those servants gone. Saber was taken by The Shadow, and it can either eat their power like it did with Gilgamesh or keep them as thralls like it did with Saber and Berserker.
God this is going to be such a depressing conclusion to the Heaven's Feel trilogy but I guess not everyone can get a happy ending ;; I will trust in Ufotable to perfectly handle this finale and to blow my expectations away, please hurry up 2020!!
Oh so that´s how it´s in the vn, they attack with their noble phantasms at the same time and Shirou puts Rho Aias in Bellerophon to destroy Saber attack xD) but I really like the change in the movie, Saber attacks and Rider waits behind Shirou who summons Rho Aias and have to resist all the power of Excalibur until is nearly done and Rider summons Bellerophon and strikes it direct to Saber using the remaining petals of Rho Aias like in the vn for major protection againts Excalibur :0)
it's lore breaking. no way 4 petal rho ais can hold that as long as it did in the movie without belerephon's aid. belerephon vs excaliblast, white vs black wave, would have been so much more epic, and when the excaliblast was weakened enough, rho ais casted giving belerephon the final edge. it makes more sense logically and more epic visually if they did that. director preferred the drama of shirou blocking the shot for rider. director preferred the "man"/MC taking the hit as it makes more sense when he takes damage than from projecting 100 meters away.
Saber's already lore breaking from the begining of the story, the attack of Gae Bolg it is supossed to be inescapable to the point that the spear moves through impossible angles to reach the heart of its target, but Saber manages to escapes certain death because literally changes the destiny. So lore or not lore the author himself decides when break the rules and when not o3o) so some changes are not a big problem because is something it happens in the whole franchise
@@franciscorojas6232 No gae bolg's condition is that it will always hit the heart. Saber just used her absurd reaction time to move a sliver of an inch. But it still absolutely hit her heart doesn't really break anything
probably because most pp know anime only. They know only Fate route and UBW. As a result, they are familiar with Saber, Rin, Sakura and Illya in both Fate and UBW Rider is just henchman...
They will likely alter this scene for the Anime Adaption. Saber will probably turn back to her Normal form before dying exchanging a few words with Shirou
I hope they do change up this scene a little bit. Making Shirou look sadder but Saber comforting him that he did the right thing by putting an end to her life, explaining to him that if he didn't, she would regenerate and kill him and Rin in the process. The people that haven't watched the visual novel will get really angry at this scene if it's not changed up, cuz they would assume that Shiro could have saved Saber when in fact, he couldn't. A lot of viewers haven't watched the bad ending of this scene in the visual novel, so they will question why Shirou didn't just try to save Saber as well.

Question: when she returns to her time before being summoned again, she’s no longer alter/dark saber.... right? If so isn’t that fucking sad that she’s at the top of the hill surrounded by death with the only hope for the grail being shattered ??
I know that this is way off topic, but was the Azoth ever used up in the UBW route? I remember it being used here and in the end of Fate, but I can't remember it in UBW.
Nova Dragoon Nope, he isn't weak. He could kill Alter Saber without Rider's help if he wanted to (There is a bad end where he fought alone, won, but destroyed his mind using too much projection), however he doesn't have too much prana like Sakura with Angra Mainyu's supply. If he became Rider's master he would fuck off all the plan
Because Saber's mere swing of her sword is enough to kill someone. Rule Breaker doesn't actually does much damage against Servants. It's real use is to sever the magical bonds between Servant and Master (as it's use is to erase any magical properties on the object or person it stabs). It was necessary in order to kill off Saber since ANgra Manyu kept feeding off mana to Saber thus she would just regenerate otherwise (which is precisely what happens after Emiya defeats her in the bad end where Saber and Shirou fight one on one).
Because if he forms a contract with her and supplies her with magical energy, he won't have any left to use Rule Breaker on Sakura. He's also saving magical energy for fighting Zouken (since he doesn't know he's dead).
He said he wants HF to be an anime. FSN was a failed mash up of all 3 routes. If they had stuck to one particular route im sure it would have been more successful.
While reading this in the VN did anyone else think Saber went back to her old self at 7:38? I just wanna see if im the only one or if other thought so too,
Shirou has 1 projection left. He can use it to save arturia....or he can do what he resolved to do and save sakura. A superhero can only save those he decides to save and you cant save everyone.
That wouldn't work, the events from the routes cancel out other parts. If they did take different parts from the 3 routes it would turn into a shallow mess, Fate route can't happen if HF happens, saber is controlled by sakura, berserker is controlled by sakura, gil is dead. UBW can't happen if HF happens, archer is dead, gil is dead, caster and assassin are dead, illya is dead. HF can't happen if fate happens, rider is dead, berserker is dead, gil and kirei are the main antagonists.
i dont want a 3 different story line i just want them to mash up all 3 routes and remake a dame FSN anime already im pretty sure ufortable can make it awsome like they did with FZ
Well, technically, no. Because Saber has yet to die. She simply moves around in time when the grail war starts, and goes back to moments before her death when she disappears.
mecha duck Saber really died in the Heaven's Feel timeline. From the Fate route/ 2006 anime, Saber never really died back in her time because she made a deal with the World to become a Counter Guardian in exchange for the Holy Grail to wish someone else became King Arthur. In the Fate anime, she dies after returning back to the end of the final battle against Mordred because she broke the promise to the World by destroying the Grail. So in this timeline, Shirou really ended her existence since she was given full form by the Dark Holy Grail. Saber cannot do another Holy Grail war like the 4th holy grail war because she was killed completely in body and soul by Shirou.
it is intended to be controversial in that way...i understand why you feel that way, even i agree to a certain extent..but these routes are merely to show different path's Shirou's character can take based on external stimuli, none of them are more correct than the others
*** SPOILS *** After that, Rin fights against Sakura / Angra Mainyu and discovers that she can't kill her own sister. The devil inside Sakura takes this opportunity and stabs Rin. Then Sakura trys to resist Angra Mainyu's influence, in vain. After, Shirou arrives and uses a projection of Rule Breaker on Sakura. Angra Mainyu try to survive without his host and take possession of Kotomine Kirei. Shirou and Kirei struggle and they are both dying, but Kirei dies first. Victorious, shirou let himself die. Here are the two endings : - In the first one, Sakura is alive and waits for Shirou's return for many years - In the second one, Illiya sacrifices herself to creat the great holy grail and transfers Shirou's soul in a humain puppet. Shirou is alive and lives with Sakura. Rider is still here and watch over them. Rin is alive too and becomes a member of the clock tower.
@@jjkkwhite2619 if by saved you mean butcher the source material and get away with it because most of the audience watching hasn’t read it and thus can’t complain about the stuff they do, then yes they did save it.
It actually is explained in the rules of the series. The Lore of Fate, explored in side-material more, makes mention of a type of magic that allows a magi to summon the spirits of ancestors in order to obtain their memories and abilities. Because Archer IS Shirou, a process similar to this happened but in reverse. A future version of Shirou was summoned and Shirou's magical circuits slowly absorbed the knowledge as they came into contact more and more. That's also why Shirou kept seeing the memories of Archer's field of swords and how he was betrayed. It's actually a similar but not quite the same idea to how Shirou gets his power boost in Heaven's Feel. Except in HF he's literally using Archer's arm to cheat his way into using power beyond his means (hence his mind breaking down). I might also add that in UBW, Shirou is not THAT powerful physically. In fact,he remains just as powerful as he began. He obstained skills, not magical prowess. In the fight against Gilgamesh he cheats by obtaining a magical bypass from Rin where he literally drains Rin's enormous pool of Mana, hence why Unlimited Blade Works vanishes the moment Saber uses Excalibur and Rin runs out of mana.

Yes, but only for a moment. Maybe seeing the upraised dagger switches her back into alter mode.
What for moment and what does switch her into alter mode and why ?
In the anime they never put that flashback 8:18
@@JMessham "random memories that would confuse anime only's"
They put an anime original Heracles flashback of his life which was totally unnecessary and out of place.
Oh GOD this is hurt so much, I'm crying rn
Oh god, 2:29 is really sad...
now when you think of it, even without the flashback if only they add this to the scene, the sadness will be there
Still mad that in this timeline Saber wasn't saved
Can't wait to see this confrontation be adapted in the third Heaven's Feel movie!
And now? What do you think about the scene of Shirou killing Saber in the movie?
I felt it pretty empty and emotionless.
@@angelcortes3485 It absolutely was. They dropped the ball with this route big time. Or more like never picked up the ball to begin with.
Anyways, Rider best girl
i was like holy shit SABER BACK TO OLD HERSELF. But then that happend ;(.. When i hard the Shirou it just made that scene a whole lot sadder...
I am the bone of my sword... Rho Aiass!!!!!
She was eaten by the unborn shadow of Angra Mainyu, which corrupted her.
God this is going to be such a depressing conclusion to the Heaven's Feel trilogy but I guess not everyone can get a happy ending ;; I will trust in Ufotable to perfectly handle this finale and to blow my expectations away, please hurry up 2020!!
I won’t. Not after how much they’ve already butchered this route...
For the third movie they're gonna have 7:34 parallel the 1st movie. Just calling that now.
just heart breaking moment in HF route :(
Oh so that´s how it´s in the vn, they attack with their noble phantasms at the same time and Shirou puts Rho Aias in Bellerophon to destroy Saber attack xD) but I really like the change in the movie, Saber attacks and Rider waits behind Shirou who summons Rho Aias and have to resist all the power of Excalibur until is nearly done and Rider summons Bellerophon and strikes it direct to Saber using the remaining petals of Rho Aias like in the vn for major protection againts Excalibur :0)
it's lore breaking. no way 4 petal rho ais can hold that as long as it did in the movie without belerephon's aid.
belerephon vs excaliblast, white vs black wave, would have been so much more epic, and when the excaliblast was weakened enough, rho ais casted giving belerephon the final edge. it makes more sense logically and more epic visually if they did that. director preferred the drama of shirou blocking the shot for rider. director preferred the "man"/MC taking the hit as it makes more sense when he takes damage than from projecting 100 meters away.
@@dudedude7846 it’s her luck stat that stopped her

Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feels
shame the best character in the whole series will die in the next film
You should warn a spoiler. Although everyone who is watching this will be spoiled anyways, so screw what I just said.
SarzaelX still stupid way to kill off the best character.
Heavens Feel is like that.
sparklestonebro Well Shinji also dies in the Fate route so this is sadly nothing new...
I mean technically you can't kill something that's already dead. We're not in kamelot anymore
waiting for Blue-Ray because I won't get to see this in cinema
I'll never understand why people like saber so much rider best waifu
both are nice bur rider is the best of the 2. however caster is the best waifu
YAASSS KWEEN! She is best SNEK/GIRL!
this guy gets it
probably because most pp know anime only. They know only Fate route and UBW. As a result, they are familiar with Saber, Rin, Sakura and Illya
in both Fate and UBW Rider is just henchman...
In Fate/Grand Order Saber Alter is best motorcycle riding waifu.
You Kidding me this was the sadest end ever you killed Saber NOOOOO !!!!
They will likely alter this scene for the Anime Adaption. Saber will probably turn back to her Normal form before dying exchanging a few words with Shirou
i hope not.
A lot of viewers haven't watched the bad ending of this scene in the visual novel, so they will question why Shirou didn't just try to save Saber as well.

the title of that video is Fateの熱い曲ノンストップBGM.

It would be great if Nasu made 1 more route where Fate,UBW and Heaven's Feel converge into one true Route.
nice thought, but it would go against the theme of the story. certain things have to be sacrificed and not everyone will happy ending
@@MrInuhanyou123 It's not really need to be all happy. And it would be interesting how events would unfold all at once.
Basically, Hollow ataraxia?
Should've played Sorrow at the end, rather than Ever-present feeling.

am i the only one who heard rider moaning voice in 0.50-0.52 like moaning hentai voice? Yuu asakawa do act in hentai role anyways XD
Does anyone know the name of the ost that plays at the begining, when Saber is deflecting Rider attacks ?
Old yes but if you mean the one playing up to 1:50 it is called Burst Up and I can't find the version played here
Luckily I was capable of finding it a while ago. Nonetheless, thanks a lot for your help :)
Same here, I found it in a video on niconico how did you find it was it youtube?
No, found it in Xer Blade's channel. You need to search for the PS2 ost of fate stay, usually a couple of sites have it although I'm not too sure on the download part.
What is the name of the song when shirou stabs saber?
Ever present feeling
Saber ;-;

Wowowowowowwow rider!!!!

Is this the heaven’s feel 3 ending pls answer and Did saber died really??
yes
Sad saber died in the upcoming movie fvck life dude
Question: when she returns to her time before being summoned again, she’s no longer alter/dark saber.... right? If so isn’t that fucking sad that she’s at the top of the hill surrounded by death with the only hope for the grail being shattered ??
yes..she is not saved in this period
I swear if ufotable f's up again and doesn't add ever present feeling to her death scene I'm gonna choke a b
Honestly I'm just shocked that rho aiyas took a blast from excalibur
It didnt. Just absorbed enough of the impact to blunt its momentum for bellorophon
I know that this is way off topic, but was the Azoth ever used up in the UBW route? I remember it being used here and in the end of Fate, but I can't remember it in UBW.
Nope. Only used in Fate and HF.
How to hurt me in 2 words: 7:35
it be lot more better if shirou become rider's master for this battle....
Rider cant break her contract with Sakura so easily, and Shirou cant give her enough prana as to use her Noble Phantasm after that battle.
Nova Dragoon no way, Rider's basically getting the most OP battery of a master ever, Shirou would ruin that.
MySpaceBarBroke Never mind, i fixed it what the heck you mean shirou is a weak master.
M LMAO
any videos of shirou vs dark saber bad ending (without rider) ?
lecorbak That's called Sparks Liner High. It's probably in the related videos. If not, just type it into the search bar.

Halkras12 dark form
so she didnt died
Halkras12 she did
She was captured by True assasin
Why Shirou didn't uses Rule Breaker against Saber from the back while she is shooting the excaliblast?
He's also saving magical energy for fighting Zouken (since he doesn't know he's dead).
let me guess, fate stay night realta nua?
Not, this is the original version
God bless Ufotable
No, they ruined this scene. Immensely. And the entire route in general tbh.
Anyone know the name of the ost at 8:20?
Ever-Present Feeling
This is sad af
He said he wants HF to be an anime. FSN was a failed mash up of all 3 routes. If they had stuck to one particular route im sure it would have been more successful.
While reading this in the VN did anyone else think Saber went back to her old self at 7:38? I just wanna see if im the only one or if other thought so too,
I prefer the one were Shirou alone fights saber
And dies, don't forget that last part. He suffers brain death.
Whatever Rider is better! Rider defeating Saber Alter is better any day!
Why Shirou didn't use rule breaker on Saber while she is fighting against Rider?
Shirou has 1 projection left. He can use it to save arturia....or he can do what he resolved to do and save sakura. A superhero can only save those he decides to save and you cant save everyone.
@@MrInuhanyou123 But in the normal end, he saves everyone instead of himself.
@@angelcortes3485 thats.closer to the shirou we know
what's the music playing when Shirou kills Saber called?
If you haven't been told by now, "Ever Present Feeling"
That wouldn't work, the events from the routes cancel out other parts.
If they did take different parts from the 3 routes it would turn into a shallow mess, Fate route can't happen if HF happens, saber is controlled by sakura, berserker is controlled by sakura, gil is dead. UBW can't happen if HF happens, archer is dead, gil is dead, caster and assassin are dead, illya is dead. HF can't happen if fate happens, rider is dead, berserker is dead, gil and kirei are the main antagonists.
Are.you okay?
Fate , HF and UBW are 3 different universes
how did saber became evil and transformed in Alter mode?
In the first part of the movie, the Shadow swallowed and corrupted her.
Shirou most badass line in this fight: aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
Make Fate/Prototype saber vs Alter/Original Saber
i dont want a 3 different story line i just want them to mash up all 3 routes and remake a dame FSN anime already im pretty sure ufortable can make it awsome like they did with FZ
You cant mash 3 different routes u dumb fuck
did saber really dead in this scene?
In fact, she was already dead. Saber Alter is some kind of twisted creation made by Angra Mainyu
This right here is why I believe heaven’s feel is the worst route. Throws his entire life away and his friends away for one girl. Depressing.
it is intended to be controversial in that way...i understand why you feel that way, even i agree to a certain extent..but these routes are merely to show different path's Shirou's character can take based on external stimuli, none of them are more correct than the others
What happens after this?
*** SPOILS ***
After that, Rin fights against Sakura / Angra Mainyu and discovers that she can't kill her own sister.
Here are the two endings :
- In the first one, Sakura is alive and waits for Shirou's return for many years
- In the second one, Illiya sacrifices herself to creat the great holy grail and transfers Shirou's soul in a humain puppet. Shirou is alive and lives with Sakura. Rider is still here and watch over them. Rin is alive too and becomes a member of the clock tower.
AmluaNariloo I see. Thank you for telling me. In the first ending, you said Shirou's return. How is he returning? I thought he died.
Albert Chyn she waits in vain for the Shirou that's never coming back
***** I see, that's sad.
Well, Heaven's Feel isn't a fairy tale ^^"
I would rather die, the FSN anime was shit, the UBW film was trash too, I don't even want to imagine them screwing this up too.

@@jjkkwhite2619 if by saved you mean butcher the source material and get away with it because most of the audience watching hasn’t read it and thus can’t complain about the stuff they do, then yes they did save it.
I FUCKING HATE HEAVEN FEEL ROUTE,SHIROU FROM UBW IS THE BEST
EMIYA he was cool in ubw but it just doesn't make sense that he powered up to the extent that he could defeat Gil in such a short period of time..
