Hey Jang, I've been a fan for several years now, but as you plug away at a new review season, I thought you might like to hear that I work at a LEGO Store, and I often find myself using the information I get from your videos to help guests make decisions about sets that I haven't bought for myself or built firsthand. It may not be much in the grand scheme of things, but your influence is reaching just that little bit farther than you might have known! Keep up the good work!
Lego is really knocking it out of the park this year! The "comeback" of the Space theme, the compability between the Space sets, lots of really nice looking sets and the price of some of those seems pretty fair to me!
It's simple, but pushing the power pack deeper into the ship to activate the implied boost is so good. The function activation button could have been a body panel, or a yellow knob, but they chose to go with something that adds its own functionality to it. It's like a mechanical process that pulls the battery in, and that's just so cool to me. Really really appreciate that little detail
This space wave for Lego City is absolutely knocking it out of the park. Amazing how much better this is than the licensed Marvel spacecraft of your previous vid
I can really visualise the pilot hitting the 'boost' button to get extra juice out of it, the designer did a fantastic job with such a simple but imagination-sparking feature
This is the total winner; for something that looks this super sleek and awesome, with the premium feel of everything printed and even having an action feature, it's unbelievable how great the value is here!
This set is what play is all about. It's well thought out and doesn't go overboard with gimmicks. I really hope the other sets of this season add the same wholesome value.
this is the kind of thing i love from Lego, something simple, that looks really good and has some pretty fun features, they used to do a lot more sets like this in the 2000s
I was talking to my friend last night about the newer sets coming out and its especially true for this set/wave, the lego designers are really starting to show their creativity when it comes to newer sets, part usage, and designs of the sets. If some prices weren’t outrageous we’d be in a new golden age of lego, but we’re definitely in a renaissance when it comes to how these sets show their creativity.
This Space theme is striking the perfect balance between appealing to all consumers of LEGO. I’m seeing things here for everyone, which is the best thing to see in sets such as these. Not to mention, I’m loving the art direction.
I bought this set as an impulse buy and felt both amazed at the fun build and really cool ship, and ripped off. As a star wars fan, I pay so much more for sets with tons of stickers and this set gets so much prints! Honestly, I won't let that sour anything, I don't mind stickers too much. But I do love this little set. its amazing in its simplicity.
I like how the Engines open up, the feature just seems so simple yet effective and i thought i had seen that cockpit piece before so glad they're reusing it. Its so SLEEK and looks like it'd make a decent fighter jet if made into a MOC. I would have thought the drone would just fly along side it but i agree its a oversight that it can't dock underneath the ship.
I absolutely love this set. The craft is such a great generic snubship. Besides being just an exploration vessel, one could imagine it as a personal transport or racing vehicle; part of a police/military unit as a patrol unit, spy/scout ship, fighter, or light bomber; and it appears capable of both atmospheric and space travel. It's shape/design is perfect, the colors (along with all the new 2024 Space line) are excellent (the lack of trans-orange notwithstanding, of course), and the set's price is an amazing deal! I'm quite likely to pick-up 3 or more of these before I'm done.
When I 1st saw this on Lego’s website I had 2nd thoughts about getting it as much as I like Lego’s unlicensed space sets. But after seeing this review I definitely want to pick this one up now! The fact that there’s no stickers & the minifigure has a new face print definitely pushed me over the edge. Lego should really do more stuff like this!
An “excellent” rating for this set - great job Lego! This current January 2024 stream of new sets has some real winners, and this particular set ($20!) appears to be in the top tier. Affordable, great design and play value, and sturdy… wins all around :-) Thank you for another ‘stellar’ review Jang!
It’s a good looking ship. I still think it’s hilarious seeing the jet pack piece that they developed for the First Order Jetpack Trooper getting used in the new city space theme.
I like the more past few realistic City Space waves but this set is awesome. Love the shape, colors. trans black, ALL PRINTS, the figure colors are perfect, the engine design. Already in the running for best set in 2024.
I watched your video and just ordered it. The price point sold me, but when you pushed down on that power core and the boosters opened up?! Man... that is something.
Thanks Jang, and I agree. I just built this model this afternoon and it’s excellent! A great build and I love the “hyper-warp” engines opening, great play value. I imagined the rear opening flaps for landing. Lots of play and imagination here. And as you said, no stickers! Prints. In a $25 CDN set when Icons and Ideas $400 sets have stickers. I got this with the Space Hoverbike and they make a great pairing.
That ship looks *awesome;* those prints are awesome; that feature is *awesome;* the drone and figure are awesome; and that price is *AWESOME!!!* *I want this!!!*
I really love this new space line - it reminds me so much of Mass Effect aesthetics! I liked the space sets from 2022 and was thinking about buying them, but there were other cooler things (like some of the Creator sets), but those are must have for me. I saw all of the sets built on display in Lego Store - the base is way bigger than I thought.
This is the third set this week I’ve added to my Wish List based on your review! This wave of $20 sets is really knocking it out of the park. Thanks for featuring them, or else I likely wouldn’t pay much attention to them.
I reckon this is the best set if you’re looking for a birthday or a Christmas gift. It’s got a cool design, an awesome play feature, its structurally solid and it’s pretty cheap.
This is a fleet builder. If you want you can take a section on a shelf and make it into a star base and mod these to have multiple docked and ready to go.
The new City Space sets are so good. I bought the whole collection and my kids and I have been having a ton of fun with them. I really hope they release more in this line throughout the year.
Just a superb set. LOVE the Reddish Orange trim, it really pops. The only thing that could have made this better for me, would be a light brick from the recent space roller coaster set, built in to the booster action
Was on the fence between this and the 6-wheeled rover, and after seeing your video I decided to go for this one first. I've never seen you that speechless over a set before, and by the time I was done building it I was too! It's super well built, prints are awesome, shape is awesome, FTL drive function is awesome... Best spaceship I've built in years.
For drone storage, I put a Technic peg with stud into the front-most hole on the underside of the spaceship. Then I just peg the drone jump pack onto that with the wings folded up. It works well enough for me. (I put a three 1x1 round studs as landing gear so it was not just the lone stud in the bottom). I figure the drone would attach after take-off and detach before landing.
Great comment on the originality/stand alone nature of the design... It's just a nice ship, not a ton of specific references to previous Lego or other media. Lego space has been self referential, with lots of call backs and homages, since the early 80s... That's neat and has helped build a sense of legacy and nostalgia that obviously works... But something new and this good is always welcome. I built mine last night.
Thank you very much for another wonderful review. This is a gorgeous looking vehicle. The interior cockpit is fantastic and so it the tinted transluscent canopy. This model lends itself well to MOC-related modifications such as adding flat plates to hide more of the studs on the top-surfaces of the wings, at the white wing roots and on the top two pairs of studs on the grey engine. I realize they don't come included with the model, but one can always use one's own extra pieces. Thank you again for a great video. Best wishes.
Nice set, very clerverly build, no prints, and very good price. We want more of these from Lego, just as the City burger truck which is lovely too for the price. Thx for the review.
Got this and love it. The way they have the engine open is a beautifully simple design. I attached a couple of clip pieces under those folding panels and attached a cone piece to each for in-atmo thrusters. I also replaced the lense that is supposed to be the flying robot's eye with LED eyes from the last series of City Space robots.
I can't help but see this ship as the "small" ship of a trio, like the old-school Galaxy Explorer, or the Space Police 1 sets. It makes me want to try and extrapolate the bigger versions... :)
The ship on the classic space logo is I believe intended to be the galaxy explorer as it was in the first series as the flagship set when the logo was introduced
Already thinking about tying it together with the last run of space. Will have to improve the space station. I can see a modular system with a core, labs/habs and air lock modules on each projection. And syncing up a module with the Galactic Explorer would be "stellar" indeed! It is funny how some years there is a lot of blah, but this year has much promise for this old Lego addict!
It looks like something from a video game. In a good way. The boost gimmick reinforces that idea even more. I really like the way this looks. Might end up getting one for myself.
I might try some way to make those modular ports work with it, maybe right angles to make the base of it work and... I'm one of those airtight seal weirdos who would probably cover up the base with a few of those rounded pieces, ostensibly to have it land on them but also to cover up the holes :) Really digging their Space line for the past few years. I think with the price to form this would be on the top of my list
That little jet pack/drone is an interesting side build; seems like they could have included two of them to have them mounted as part of the wings. Thanks for sharing!!!
I would love of Lego provide the whole Endurance space station with all 4 astronauts, tars and case, 2 rangers and 4 landers. I would gladly spend for those.
2:04 I really like that print because it's not too specific. They obviously look like intake chutes for the engine but with imagination they could used as arms/claws on an ice monster.
This is unquestionably one of Legos best flying vehicle designs, especially will how cheap it is, when it's value compared to a _lot_ of other 20$ sets value. I'm getting two or three of these to make a little squadron because they're very massable, almost like an army builder for vehicles.

The purple power cells and crystals are a great addition to LEGO space lore
It's simple, but pushing the power pack deeper into the ship to activate the implied boost is so good. The function activation button could have been a body panel, or a yellow knob, but they chose to go with something that adds its own functionality to it. It's like a mechanical process that pulls the battery in, and that's just so cool to me. Really really appreciate that little detail
Crikey this seems like one of the best spaceship sets they've... ever done?
This space wave for Lego City is absolutely knocking it out of the park. Amazing how much better this is than the licensed Marvel spacecraft of your previous vid
So so much value in this set! The prints, the play features, the shaping, the sleekness, the colours… the way that engine opens up??? So worth it.
I can really visualise the pilot hitting the 'boost' button to get extra juice out of it, the designer did a fantastic job with such a simple but imagination-sparking feature

Brother got me this for Christmas. Great little build, couldn't stop playing with the engine function even as an old man.
I wish we got ships like this in the Star Wars line, just a cheap 20 dollar ship that’s still detailed and has cool play features built in
Very nice set. Great design, no stickers, no visible wrong colors. Excellent price to quality ratio! Please more stuff like that, LEGO.
Another win for this line. I look at that and think “that’s perfect, I want 3”. Great shape, good parts, amazing price.

I’m seeing things here for everyone, which is the best thing to see in sets such as these.
Not to mention, I’m loving the art direction.
I got this thing a day early at Target, and it's absolutely joyful.
So glad to see you putting the minifigs in the set, really adds a lot of context to the build. Great review as always
I love the play feature with the battery superpowering the engines. Also, quite the unique minifigure
This is one of those sets that makes an AFOL feel like a kid again, might already be in the running for one of the best sets of the year honestly
The opening engine exhausts REALLY make this one unique. This is definitely one to think about.
We need a fleet of these!!! All different designs too!
This for some reason feels like it’s straight out of the movie interstellar. Love the design!
This subtheme is going to go down in history alongside the greats I know it
Its basically galaxy squad simplified down and themed around city space and its so neat
$20 is a steal for a set with that many prints, and such a unique figure!
This is been one of my favorite builds. I keep picking it up and messing around with it. It's so simple and so great
I absolutely love this set. The craft is such a great generic snubship. Besides being just an exploration vessel, one could imagine it as a personal transport or racing vehicle; part of a police/military unit as a patrol unit, spy/scout ship, fighter, or light bomber; and it appears capable of both atmospheric and space travel. I love this. It's classy, sleek, Sci-Fi-coolness.
Thanks for reviewing it!
The burger truck is also a 20 dollar set and has NO STICKERS either which is amazing to me
When I 1st saw this on Lego’s website I had 2nd thoughts about getting it as much as I like Lego’s unlicensed space sets. But after seeing this review I definitely want to pick this one up now! This is such a cool little set. The ship looks great, the boost feature is awesome, its affordable and has some really great Modding potential
"This piece gets a print, that piece gets a print, EVERY PIECE GETS A PRINT"

Truly the best set of the wave. What an excellent fun set for $20
It’s a treat whenever we get to see your delight in and approval of a special little set like this. Made my evening!
This is like the reasonable and much affordable version of the Buzz Lightyear alike. Great review, Jang!
I saw the title and prayed it was from the movie with TARS. Still great for the price. This and the camera are the best priced items right now
Honestly, the fact that this set has no stickers has pretty much convinced me to buy it. Good stuff.
The whole space line is killing it this time
I reckon this is the best set if you’re looking for a birthday or a Christmas gift. It’s got a cool design, an awesome play feature, its structurally solid and it’s pretty cheap.
This is the best spaceship Lego has ever put on sale. Great price, flawless design, it's just as good as prime Space stuff from 80s/90s.
Really like this set. Haven’t bought any Lego recently but I could see myself picking this up sometime.
I already had my eyes on this one, but the review sold me even harder ... the prints and the action feature, chef's kiss
it's great build for small space ship, it's so elegant I would say
This is a fleet builder. If you want you can take a section on a shelf and make it into a star base and mod these to have multiple docked and ready to go.
The expanding thrusters are so cool! Surprised me when you pushed the battery down I had no idea
The new City Space sets are so good. I bought the whole collection and my kids and I have been having a ton of fun with them. I really hope they release more in this line throughout the year.
I love Lego Space series set this year, so good for both play and display.
I liked this set from the reveal. Very neat design, and great play features.
I love this model. It reminds me of the Starcom cartoon and toys from the 80s.
Hooray for prints!
I've been critical of Lego designs over the last couple of years but they are hitting their stride in 2024. Lots of great sets at good prices
Just a superb set.
LOVE the Reddish Orange trim, it really pops.

I'm so glad this review put this set on my radar cos i just bought one and I'm really excited to build it.
Absolutely incredible. If I was a kid right now this would be my favorite set ever.

The opening jet propulsion is really cool.
Good gosh these new sets have me feeling a kinda way. Love the new releases this year so far!
This set makes me want a space exploration video game with Lego, this could be a cool starter ship before being allowed to build one!!
Wow! This little spaceship is quite amazing! You get a lot for such a reasonable price! That's a Lego homerun in my opinion! Way to go, Lego!
I like these new small spaceship sets. Will probably end up buying a few of them to make a bigger spaceship in the style of classic space.
I don't know why, but "You know what else is a print? That" is so funny to me! Great stuff as always!
Nice set, very clerverly build, no prints, and very good price. We want more of these from Lego, just as the City burger truck which is lovely too for the price. Thx for the review.

My personal fav from this new space city line, great design and value. Thanks for the review 😃
This new Space sub theme is going to be remembered for a long time!
Just plain fantastic & the price (considering it's City) is quite good.
Such a cool set! The shape rminds me a bit of the delta flyer from Star Trek as well. Thanks for the review!
a WONDERFUL little addition to the ever growing lego starfleet.
Wow, lego spaceship design has really taken off after the buzz lightyear one, huh?
I can't help but see this ship as the "small" ship of a trio, like the old-school Galaxy Explorer, or the Space Police 1 sets. It makes me want to try and extrapolate the bigger versions... :)
Looks phenomenal. Love how sleek they got the presentation.
Gosh I love the engine feature on this set

Looks kind of like the Farscape ship with the wings down.

My god, it's full of prints.
I was already planning on getting this, but everything being prints is such a nice bonus. Maybe I'll get two!
I'm really pumped for the new space line! And this set looks like something you might want to pick two or even three of, to get the fleet going!
Very neat little set, I like it!
This absolutely is going on the shopping list. Thanks Jang!
My nephew used the backpack section for the 'drone', so that be has a jetpack!
Great looking small size spaceship! Price is also reasonable! Love it! 🙂 🛸 👍
