You got me looking into TKell stuff, especially your reveal of the Agent 001. Unfortunately it was sold out BUT I managed to find someone who had a brand new one they had to sell off due to impending fatherhood and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I have the Krl Jr, prefer the Bastinelli Sin for belt carry, have the OG Street Beat in satin and sometimes carry the El Pionero. I'm also fond of Milmak and Sosby's work and most of the time I've an MF Bladeworks Vandal in my offside.
Love the content, Dave...Pretty sweet collection, even if I do speak as one fairly new to the hobby. Folks such as yourself and Bob are top-notch, and I'm constantly learning a great deal from tuning in to you guys....Gratitude! 😊
I love the super heavy jumping on the blue double edged it lets you know where your thumb is in sabre grip at all times so you don't come up on to that back edge. I find that even in sparring much less the real thing I have no mind for small nuances such as where is my thumb on the back of that blade. I find it hard enough to remember to check my 6:00😅
Loved this video! 😍 I’m a knife and blade enthusiast as well. 😎 the viper handy was new to me! As well as a couple others. Thanks, brother of the blade. 🫡😁
Awesome. You can definitely see a pattern in what you like. Gotta go with fixed blades. Folders are like box cutters, can’t pry with them, only cut. Might as well carry scissors at that point, IMO.
Thank for lining these up and for providing shop and names in the description. I've been circling around Bradford's 3.5 as a buy for daily carry, but more than a few in your collection might beat it for design directed at particular purpose.
I have the same exact Viper Handy. I wasn’t sure about the ordering Ultem, but I’m glad I did. It looks great in person. I also have the MKM TPF too. I wasn’t a fan of the sheath at first either. But it has grown on me and become easier to use over time. I carry mine inside the waist band of my pants.
Tkell does make some good blades. Can't wait for the next Agent 001 drop, that's the next purchase on my list. Should have jumped on the last drop but already had 3 open orders for knives with him. Already have the Nightguard, very cool blade but is pretty much self defense only use so also want a multiuse one.
This was a great lineup. I noticed the Williams Design immediately because I’m infatuated with his knifes.. I really like that Handy and just ordered one based on your review. If you haven’t heard of Station IX knifes check out the #12 undercover. Their knifes are used by a bunch of high speed guys. They’re great for deep concealment and really affordable.
Thanks very much and glad you enjoyed the review. The Station IX knives were brought to my attention by Bob DeMarco in one of his reviews. I have yet to get one but likely will in the future. I think you really like the Viper Handy for its great ergonomics and edge profile. Thanks for your comments and enjoy!
Amazing content here and big props for having such an amazing collection. Any plans on reviewing also the TRC made Williams kaikens? I have the SZM003 myself and I absolutely love it, I can't even put it down.
TRC manufactured fixed blades for Williams are a bit up there in the price bracket, but I'm sure they are superb! If I do add another Williams to the collection it would likely be the 4.5" Osoraku Zukuri Kwaiken in Magnacut made by Lionsteel. Thanks for watching! 👍🗡️👊
Thanks so much for the referral and I do understand how special this model is, however I'm in the process of selling and not buying lately as my income stream is a bit down having just retired. I'll keep my eyes open for the future and many thanks again!
Dude i want that MKM Terzuola TPF Defense so bad it's gonna be my next knife i think it's so good and actually made by Lion Steel so that heat treat is impeccable and actually good like 63 HRC unlike most Italian magnacut currently carrying a Viper Basic 1 and Berus 1 Basic in magnacut Berus in M390 both with carbon scales so they match i always have both of them on me basic on my belt svout carry Berus clipped to my pocket lol my neighborhood is pretty rough people get shot and robbed constantly here in dutch town St Louis as of late is been crazy
Check out Ecos Knives. They're in the Philippines and their prices are very reasonable. I think you'll like their style. The steel is usually nothing fancy(I think they're mostly 1095) but it's definitely enough to get the job done. I have 4. A cleaver style I EDC'd for a long time, a kwaiken style one I currently EDC, a very narrow kiridashi I use as a desk knife, and a big heavy chopper that has an interesting wooden sheath with a magnet in it(it stays on a shelf, I think its beautiful).
I love Tkell knives and others of that same tier for their customer service and veteran owned status, and their knives are top tier for sure, but for a self defense blade not even for hard daily use it is ridiculous to pay so much for a blade. I’m trained in knife combat and I can do just as much damage with a sharpened piece of metal as a tkell knife it just doesn’t look as cool. I carry the Crkt Spew as a backup and a Masalong EDC Tactical edge. I paid a total of less than a hundred for both, and they’ve lasted me years (well the SPEW is newer to me but I had a very similar one before) and have done everything I’ve ever needed. Just not worth the cost imo u less you have disposable income. If you have to sell a a gun to buy a blade then it’s probably just for show and tell and collectors value and little else. I know the better knives are made of better steel, but like I said no one is buying a tkell knife and using it to widdle firewood and bore holes in 2x4s
Drop factors no big deal until you actually lose some knives. I got a brand new Ka-Bar did all my custom work to the knife and the sheath that I like to do quite a bit of work took it out on my first hike lost it.... one day I had that knife 👺😡 I'm not mad at myself anymore but I still think about that knife I always will. Backpack down to this River with my new throwing knife where we came to the river was the perfect camping site. Big o beautiful tree, pulled out my throwing knife first throw completely missed the tree all together, went right out into the middle of the river I never did find that knife. Yep I still think about that one too😅 I really don't mind that the tree said oh hell no pal😅 don't use rivers and lakes as your backdrop to your throwing Target😢😅😅
I don't understand how they are getting $200 for a small fixed blade? I understand some folders costing more. But a fixed blade is ridiculously easy to make. It made sense to buy a knife when they were affordable but nowadays even if i messed up a few times it might cost $25-30 in materials. It really seems people don't understand what production is. Marketing and branding have people paying crazy prices for regular carbon steel.
Certainly, for a small knife the amount of material invested for manufacture doesn't really matter. But it would really depend upon whether you're saying that a purely custom knife is too much or a production manufactured knife is too much. Most buyers don't realize the incredible amount of time that goes into tooling and setup and design for any knife to be manufactured, particularly if it's made in the US where there are higher labor costs and insurance to be paid to employees and so forth. I can't say I can justify the higher costs of production fixed blades, but much of it is driven by the consumers desire to have something new and unique, and you might say "fashionable." Thanks for watching and your comment. 👍🗡️👊
Yes, I agree, fixed blade prices are ridiculous! Compared to a folder, there is no comparison in complexity and the precision machining needed to make a good one, not to mention the assembly time. Yet, there are LOTS of excellent folders in the $25-75 range, some with good steel too. Even taking into account the sheath, a fixed blade of equal quality should cost half as much.
Again, we can't just compare all fixed blades to folders, especially if the fixed blade happens to be a custom. Now, if we're comparing custom folders, then you'll see those prices skyrocket over most fixies. It's really hard to make an apples-to-apples comparison. Before comparing consider materials, method of production, country of production, cost of marketing, labor, design royalties, and many other factors. In the end, pick something that suits your purpose at the right price, and lately there are plenty to choose from! 👍
Lots of constraints doing techniques over a tabletop. I'll check the vid to try and determine exactly what your referencing, but not sure I have enough info to give a clear response. My third hand, or alive hand, works the camera! 😅😅😅
I was going to get a tkell for my ddc but the wait time to get one is at 6-8 months as of now. Hahaha, pass. Your making a knife, not a car. Custom or not thats ridiculous. I get custom built tube amps made in half that time. Its Just silly
We all need to make our decisions based on our personal needs, for sure. Tim is backed up quite a bit on orders, so I hear. At least with making cars you have a full staff plus robots! 😄🗡️👊
I’ll gladly take that TKell Knives Agent 001 off your hands!!!!! I have two and am looking forward to the next drop to add a third one!!! Awesome review and nice collection of fixies!!!!🫡
Fantastic collection. I'm going to enjoy going back and forth between them because it's eye candy!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!
Haha totally been doing the same
Tkell is the best of the best ! Veteran owned, good people, good family and a great Live Stream on Sunday's !
👍🗡️👍
Bad ass collection! Thanks for showing them. Stay strong brother!
👍🗡️👊
Both those tkells are in my edc. Love Tim's work.
👊🗡️👍
Never fails... for myself as well, every fancy knife in the world and the simple design takes fav
Definitely!
Great selection of knives and excellent commentary. Well done. TKell and Compliance are my favorites
What an amazing Collection! Thank You for sharing these with us
My pleasure! Thanks for watching 🗡️👍🗡️

Very happy with my Viper Handy ❤
A blade does not fail. It does not misfire. It works if wet. Does not require a internet or electric connection. No batteries required.
Капитан очевидность…
Yea bud, blades fail all the time.
Superb presentation, thank you.
The MKM looks great too, I own the James Williams OZK 002 from Lionsteel as well and am very happy with it.
Very nice! Thanks for watching!

Dude !!! Dude !!!! Now I’d say you gotta short knife collection!!! Actually you gotta couple long ones too !! Wow !!! Nice !!!!
There are many many more, but I have to hold the videos down to under 6 hours! 😅👊🗡️

I pretty much want 1-2 of everything. Nice collection
Thanks! 🗡️🔥🗡️

Great video review 👍! I look forward to your videos regarding fixed blades. Keep them coming!
I plan to! Thanks for watching 👍🗡️👊

Bradford's are certainly a great knife and great buy, if you aren't drawn to anything in this particular review. Thanks for watching!

Il Viper Handy è semplicemente fantastico!!!
I would include the Fisher Blades Beckwith Covert knife in this list also. I'd love to see a review in the future from you!
Nice collection
Man Viper makes Amazing knives i absolutely love the Tommaso Rumici desighns by Viper
🗡️👊🗡️ Actually, Silvestrelli designed the Viper Handy.
top notch killer blades Dave!!
👊🗡️👍🔥
Really great blades

I have 2 viper handys as well. They are so good. I wish they had it in black micarta, I’d have to get a third 😅
That Hog Tooth is the nicest looking to me. It looks like something a witch hunter would carry from the 1400s or something.
Armatus makes great kydex sheaths for lots of knives.

When did you change your page name ?
Channel name changed three months ago, from ThisOldSword to OG Blade Reviews.....
Wow 1095 is a work horse steel. Clean it from time to time like cast iron or be a lazy F56K
Gonna get me a tkell now. They are sexi.
👍

A blade does in fact fail, they do it all the time, from a tip breaking to a screw coming loose. One cannot say a blade cant fail. It is ignorant
Everything breaks, ages, but everything is also relative so if one says that something won't break that is a comparative statement
Чёткие ножи!+
I’ll gladly take that TKell Knives Agent 001 off your hands!!!!! I have two and am looking forward to the next drop to add a third one!!! Awesome review and nice collection of fixies!!!!🫡
Thanks 👍
