Great video picked up a refurbished 64gb from Gamestop for $250. Thing is pretty much brand new, the exhaust smells like new. The thing has not even been used at all. Thanks for the guide!
Did you have to flash an image on the new SSD so it would have the Steam Deck OS and work as it should? And if so, where did you get the OS image, and how did you flash it to the new SSD?
Kinda an unrelated topic but Honestly this needs more attention. The steam deck has a huge issue with getting a black screen where device works but the screen just doesn’t. Everyone on reddit is reporting this issue and all valve does is replace it than actually do something to fix this issue. I wasn’t lucky they wanted to charge me 145 to fix the deck even though it’s they’re fault for the faulty hardware.

The video tutorial on changing the SSD and increasing data and storage is wonderful and it teaches me to think about doing the same. But I have only question: during a plane trip where you don't have access to the internet and you want to play on your Steam Deck, can the games you downloaded be playable in airplane mode? Or can you only play if you only have internet access? because let's stop to think at this: if the steam deck has a storage unit and the games that have been downloaded are not possible to play offline, that would be strange, don't you think?
Can I use my own charger that supports 220 volt electricity to charge it, with a power of 65 watts? I mean, any charger can be used on any voltage as long as it is 65 watts ?

I have the D Brand protective case for mine. What I don't like about it is the hard cover damages the bottom of the grippy case on it. It seems like a bad design choice by them.

Just different specs Ally will be more powerful as a higher tier device. But Deck is for budget, I have almost exact same thing in the video except powerpank(Jsaux can't ship powerbank into my country, so i got one from Baseus instead) and as you see at that price it's still cheaper than Ally extreme Z1 model. Screen is worse but if you can settle with it then it's no big deal, or you could try screen upgrade, but it's required a lot of disassemble.

@nabeelkhattak3329 they serve the same purpose: a Micro SD card is the one steam deck takes. SD card is sort of bigger than the Micro SD card.

I like the silicon cases. It prevents it from sliding around on hard surface. My SteamDeck almost slid off my nightstand a few times before I got one.
Oh man! That's scary but I'm glad it didn't happen. Those silicone cases definitely help with friction

The whole point is gaming on the go, so of course you can play certain games offline. You aren't gonna have internet while walking the streets.
