I also got the 64 GB model yesterday for my birthday but my birthday is on Saturday so I can’t open it till then so I’ve been binge watching a lot of different creators of boxing but I really wanna play BMG drive

SUGGESTION: ADD GYRO, look for a prebuild configuration with GYRO, and remember that you must keep the touch on the right joystick to enable the gyroscope, and just do not touch it to get back the control only to the other joystick.

Yes, the steam deck (apart from weight) is way more comfortable than the switch, it’s better for larger hands.

how does it compare to the switch? Is it plug and play or do you have to tweak it for every game? Very confused which games are on steam and steam deck verified, like star wars Jedi survivor for example.

No, it does not feel the same in terms of weight. It feels considerably heavier and of superior quality..

I have a question. Some pc games require an ssd to run which the 64gb steam deck variant does not have. So then will i not be able to play that game on the 64gb variant? Ex. The last of us part 1.
Im sure they would still work to some extent, but I don't know

Mine got bricked, after properly upgrading the ssd, it would not boot a flash drive and after putting it in power storage mode it never turned back on. I've exhausted every option to get it back on.
You have to plug it in to power it up after putting in power storage mode for it to turn on

TLDR; Buy 64 GB ver. of Steam Deck During Sale and upgrade the storage to MP600 Mini 1TB + SanDisk Extreme MicroSD.
Samsung and WD have cheaper 2230 Gen 3 NVMe 1 Tb SDD ~ 70 USD (they are not slower than the Gen4 ones except on tests (3100 Mb/s vs 5000 Mb/s but 110 USD Sabrent), because Steam Deck is designed for Gen3 speeds or lower as SD card ones)
I bought a Lexar 1TB MicroSD for $87 during Amazon Prime day sale. I did get the 512GB because at 20% to me it was worth it so I didn’t have to futz around trying to upgrade the deck(and maybe screw stuff up) the matte screen is nice too.
@@TheVinceVoice The problem with Lexar is speed and longevity. SanDisk Extreme is significantly more pricey but so is the performance. I would highly recommend that you refund that Lexar and replace it with SanDisk Extreme 1 TB because the performance difference is just too massive.
Oof. BeamNG is a rough game to choose to try your Steam Deck for the first time.
I wouldn’t say that, its a good way to discover and test the steam deck’s capabilities, and find its limits in processing and graphics quality
@@VanSucksAtTech tbh beamng is really poorly optimized. There are a lot of games much better to test the performance
@@3rr0rcs5 That's kinda my point, if the game is really unoptimized, and still runs well, that shows how well the deck can handle games that are well optimized
@@VanSucksAtTech no it does not. Every game performs differently and uses the hardware in a different proportion. The only thing realistically to do to benchmark your hardware is a proper Benchmark test like 3D Mark

The strap on the backside is for putting over the extended handle of your luggage.
I am very tempted to pick one up while the sale is still on but I am torn between getting the ally or the aynneo geek 1s. I was leaning towards the ally as bestbuy has the 1 to 3yr replacement insurance. I know valve also has great support but I want something a little more future proof with Gamepass support. The VRR feature also makes me want it. Just wish the steamdeck had 6cores but at that low price it is very tempting. Congrats on your new deck. You can't go wrong on both machines.

''I want something a little more future proof'' the Ally is just 15% faster than the Steam Deck at 15 watts which will just barely get you 2 hours and at 12 watts they have almost the same performance. also the ally is inefficient compared to the Steam Deck so your not likely to consume 15 watts unless you lower resolution from 1080p,lower settings, and lower the fps cap to the point where you ask your self ''isn't this just a minorly better experience than the deck?! and could i not just have gotten a 1tb ssd and a 64gb Steam Deck for $200 less than an Ally!?!!?'' also there are refurbished 64gb decks at 319.00 dollars if you can find them in stock at the steam store.
