I HATE when people complain about the dress code. They always cry about other people caring what they wear and that other people should mind their own business. The problem with their mentality is that THEY are the entitled ones who are not following the cruise ships dress code. The company is trying to create a certain atmosphere, and a Walmart atmosphere is not it. The complain that either they didn't know, they should be able to do as they please or that nice clothes are too expensive or burdensome. As if they do ZERO research on the expensive cruise they just booked! I mean, just look around in the MDR. It not a fast food place. Dress for the occasion.
I would never go on a cruise for exactly all of those reasons . i could not imagine paying to go on vacation to end up being trapped on a boat with a bunch of disgusting , rude uneducated idiots. it amazes me that anyone would subject themselves to that environment.
We found the perfect solution and never have a chair hog problem. Frequent NCL cruisers --- We always book the Haven. No chairs, the cabana attendant brings you one. Problem solved. Elevators no problem on newer NCL ships the Haven has private elevators for Haven guests only. Walkie talkies -- nope. Haven guest are given portable room phones. Unfortunately my Wife likes the breakfast buffet outside the Haven, personally I think people showing up for breakfast wearing pajamas and looking like they just rolled out of bed is disgusting. Room service -- not an issue. All Havens get a Butler that delivers room service and on demand retrieves any cups or plates. I think what Im saying is go Haven or stay home.

I haven’t tried NCL yet but have heard good things. I’ve also never stayed in a suite yet simply to make the dollar stretch further.
