I invested in Carnival 3 years ago. Should've done Royal instead! ! That said, I'm sure Carnival stock will eventually turn a good profit.

Just to confirm what you said, they allow you to bring one bottle per adult in your carry-on? Is this for all Royal Caribbean ships, such as freedom of the sea?

We're doing Rome on the way back from the Cruise. We're planning to take the train from the port to our Hotel in Rome CC. One thing I'm worried about is luggage theft. Did y'all have a lot of luggage? Did you store it or keep it with you? If stored, did you feel it was secure?

I want to try Beach Club but for my cruise next year it hasn't gone below $155 in price. So far I have Hideaway booked for $33

If there’s not a ton of price difference, we go for an Ocean view, but I agree with all your reasons. We have an interior 14 day and an interior seven day booked right now. A balcony on the seven day would be as much as all 21 days in an interior.

This is bad advise. If you can book direct with the cruise, then do so. If you book direct with the cruise your booking is more secure than going through a travel against. If anything goes wrong, I would prefer to go direct to the source and not go through a third party like a travel agent. I have always booked directly with the cruise ship and have never had problems even after a cancellation.

Does this work for people who are not related to each other?

It USED to be worth it when prices were somewhat humane. We have enjoyed the club many times but the price just does not justify what you get - a steak and lobster, and some sides. The over water cabanas are really nice but they want $2438 that we had previously paid $799 to around $1500. The day pass is now $138 per person - when they first opened it was $54 and we had a great time. The bottom line is that they will keep racking up the prices as long as people will pay - We just can't justify any longer.

Always print and take extra copies. Came in handy one time when we had to check-in some extra unexpected last-minute bags. Long story.

I have bought and use these luggage tag holders, fabulous, I use on every cruise, fantastic product, a few dollars well spent.

I go "all in" on my cruise luggage tags. I cut them (they way you initially showed - nice and thin), fold them in half, and then use a hot laminator with bookmark size pouches to laminate them. I then use a special slot hole punch to create a nice slot through which I slip a flexible plastic loop. Once attached to our bags they are then on to stay! And they are weatherproof. I've seen the nice, thick, folded, unprotected paper tags wither in a Miami pop-up rain shower at the pier. Once they are soaked and soggy there's a really good chance that they're coming off your bags. Some may consider my method overkill, but we've never lost a bag in roughly 50 cruises...

Making a loop like you did will make it more likely to catch or snag something and tear off. Instead, you should fold it in half lengthwise and staple it twice, in the places indicated, after inserting over the bag handle.

The last version is upside down. The paper should have been reversed when placed in the plastic bag thingy. Porters are going go crazy turning it right side up in order to read it.

try packing tape and not staples. makes sure your tag will not come off.

I bought sleeves for Royal Caribbean but found them a little difficult to slide the tag into them. I then bought sleeves for Carnival tags, among the largest tags, and they are much easier to load. I then made custom inserts for the original purchase/Royal Caribbean tag sleeves to help identify my bags at the airport. Much better than other ID tags 😃!

How can you find a cruise that has great entertainment? We like singers and dancers .

Can the travel agent combine deals with what the cruise ship is already offering? We went on or first cruise in January with RC kids cruise free and paid about $1300 for an ocean balcony. Could the agent get us a similar rate plus extras?

I always book at least a year in advance. And always use my travel agent (💗 diana). Always best deals. Does price watch for me. Makes vacationing much easier and more fun.

What mistakes have you made when booking a cruise?

Travel agents don't book solo cabins for NCL. They focus on couples and families because it's more money than a solo cruiser.

Some bad advice, I either book as soon as the cruise is available, especially on a specialty cruise or do a last minute trip and save thousands. I’ve booked 7 days in a mini suite 2 weeks out for $450 each. I’ve could have done the same to Hawaii and Alaska. Princess has a registry for last minute cruise I always book through the cruise lines, I’ve heard so many horror stories while on the ship about their travel agent, I’ll spend a few hundred for the piece of mind. We also same money by being a shareholder. Maybe another tip is we have a rate guarantee ,so if we book early and the price drops or adds perks to that sailing I’ll call and get that promotion. I’ve called two or three times to make changes even to the location of the stateroom if the stateroom that I wanted wasn’t available when I booked. Happy cruising. .

Travel agents/advisors ROCK. I agree on the savings and not doing the upgrade or Royal up deal! Why give them data and take a chance on jacking up your cruise landing in a room that doesn't work for you/family. Nice video tips. Thank you.

Most school districts may know their breaks several years out. We are getting ready for our first time Norwegian Cruise, and took the bait of bidding for an upgrade, now we are waiting to see if we get it which could include embarking day. "Never again".

I've planned two cruises directly with the cruise line, and three with a travel agent. You do get better deals with a travel agent, along with extras and maybe even little gifts 🙂
