Pretty amazing stuff! Car looks awesome. Hard to believe where you started with it. Love the content on your channel. Had not sprayed anything significant for a few years. Just tried out my new FLG5 this morning on some single stage this morning. Best off the gun finish I have ever achieved. Is it possible I have learned something just watching you on YT? Could be... It was fun to paint again. Thanks for all the effort you put in to the channel and thanks to Spray Guns Direct for fair pricing and fast shipping to the USA. Take care.
Well you smashed that out the park! My Resto is driving now, installing electrical and interior. 85% of the body work is done but paint day is still a long way away.
Every subscriber needs to share this video and the guys channel… Absolutely fantastic work her and fantastic teacher… If anyone reckons this isn’t absolutely fantastic…. Let’s see your work !
Soooo beautiful mate. Very happy for you that you had a good paint session on your own project. So often that you nail customers jobs and have issues on your own but you pulled it off!!!
Amazing job Gunny you have done a superb job on your Torana, the body looks pin straight and the finish from the Liquid Glass is first class, I got myself a kit of the Liquid Glass which I will be using on a bike tank that I did in a 3 stage called Candy Marvellous which is actually a similar colour to your Torana, looking forward to seeing your car being put back together👌🙏👍John UK
Been watching your videos for a long while now. But this complete build at your home and spraying at work has really been a great series of videos and hopefully we will get to see all the parts go on in another video. This has been very useful for us all to see come together. Nice Job Gunny
Man she looks stunning ❤ Super happy for you seeing all those months of hard work finally paying off. Think a road trip vid and some car shows need to be on your channel when all bolted back up. Well done dude, love it 👍
Amazing job as always , she's already looking awsome, just think what it's going to be like polished up, can't wait to see those stages ,congrats getting it into paint, always a good feeling on a job this size
looks beautiful fella nice work, she now needs a 8 and celica 5 speed but if you have a sentimental attachment to the original 6 i completely get it also money wise aswell
Excellent work playboy! Thanks for clarifying how much reducer you use. I was always under the impression that you never used reducer. So many other painter say they dont. I look at their finish and be like, i know you put reducer in thar clear. Entirely too flat. Lol must be an ego thing to say you dont use clear Much love from Los Angeles California
Hey Gunny! Nothing beats painting you're own car if you only paint customers cars for a living. When i sprayed my B-body mopar i started masking at 6 in the morning & cleaned the guns after 12 at night!! Remembering sleeping a couple of days after.
Great job! Just to confirm from your video, you said that if you weren't going to wetsand and polish you would have went with te20 and 1.3 tip? Can you go into more detail why? I do restoration work so I'm always trying to get the flattest finish out of my jobs. I use the t110 with 1.3 and have good luck with it.
Such a nice job Gunny. You should be proud of this one. Nothing like standing back and admiring a job well done! You have definitely helped me with prepping and painting my own stuff in my home shop.
Good choice of gun 👍 I love the pro lite , been painting 27 years and that is my gun of choice. I also loved the sata NR95 a really fine atomisation with huge fan but obsolete now. Keep up the good work mate 👍 love your passion for the trade 😉
Nice work, can't wait to it fully fitted uop and buffed. Liquid glass is a great clear but unfortunately i try as many clears as i can on the market and found Spectral suits my needs . Sprayguns direct are a great company and very helpfull also know their stuff. 👍jim uk
Hey mate great job. Hey I'm in Queensland and I'm trying to get my hand on some Quartz liquid glass but no one has any. I contacted the dealer in the UK and they said they can't ship it to Australia yet because of customs. Do you know where I can find some?
Outstanding work. Before, I recall you used to warm the clear coat to decrease viscosity and reduce flash times. Why did you stop doing that? Also, I had problems with shine when over-reducing. Anyway, T110, 1.2 mm is probably the safest bet for flatness without runs. Flash times for multiple coats can reach hours, right?
If you just wait yes, but I did mention in the vid, I applied 2 coats on the roof, boot and bonnet, 1 on the sides then baked for 10min, then another 2. So I didn't trap any solvents in but don't have to wait hours between coats.
What’s the difference between the TE110 and the T10 I’m very close to spraying clear on my project . I have a pro lite it came with 1.2 ,1.3 , 1.4 fluid tips and T10,T20 air caps I plan to spray Acme FC720 in about 60degree F. Also not sure which activator I was thinking the 50-70 degree fast. Any help would be appreciated!
Hey gunman, are you able to share with us an other supplier that Spraygun direct for Quartz range? nothing wrong at all with them but jesus christ the shipping cost is just way to much for us living in Sydney. Shipping cost is nearly as expensive as the product itself...
Gunny I painted something 1 month ago an the run I got still feels bit soft especially been cold Melbourne weather at the moment. Should I wait 3 months
I have a question, I own a BF XR6 paint code NE (Neo Blue) which needs a little attention, my bonnet and bumper needed to be replaced are now under coat grey after a small roo jumped in front of me and it has a few small coin sized dents which I want to repair as well, Neo blue is actually sprayed over a "sky blue" like colour (the engine bay was not sprayed Neo in the factory and shows this sky blue). My question is how do I identify the correct code for this sky blue ? so my paint will match properly.. Also can you advise how many Coates of Neo are sprayed over the sky blue as not enough will be too light and too much will be too dark... I've heard Neo is one if the most difficult colours to match correctly is this true ? Would I be better off respraying the whole car
You’d have to be happy with that outcome! I’ve really enjoyed following this build and reference you on my channel all the time. Great outcome Gunny. Proof that if you Putin the effort you get the results.😊
You definitely are a true painter ,your knowledge and ability to change how you go about different jobs is a master at work
awesome work brother looks good
that color is off the hook man...very old timey yet classy in a timeless way....great job on that clear too
The quality of work really stands out Z ,nothing like a bit of paint therapy, most especially on such an Aussie Icon ,OUTSTANDING

Wow . I’d be wrapped if my paint job looked like that off the gum
Absolute legend
Congratulations. Another classic Holden saved!

Good shit bro!! Looks awesome, sort me a pro lite if possible, keen to give them a crack!!
Looks great
Why did you do clear over base instead of single stage? -- genuine question.
It looks great as it is🤘
hay mate how much did the quartz clear cost for shipping from United kingdom to Australia
Looks stunning !!! 🤩🔥
Hey mate great job. Hey I'm in Queensland and I'm trying to get my hand on some Quartz liquid glass but no one has any. I contacted the dealer in the UK and they said they can't ship it to Australia yet because of customs. Do you know where I can find some?
The only way would be to ship a pallet, from the UK. Unfortunately My less and it's too expensive because it's a dangerous good
Awesome! 👌

Thank you very much for the reply. You transmit a real passion and dedication to this art.
God mate isn’t she a beauty! Well done mate enjoy this beast 👌👍
Do you no longer like shooting glasurit 923-255? How would you compare the clear you're using with the glasurit?
My god that looks good.
Having just sprayed a bumper and got a load of orange peel i kinda hate you a bit 😢 Top work man, Looks insane for off the gun
I got the orange without the peel 😜
Awesome.
Ok yeah, t110 more coats and slow, cause its so fine that I found looks sorta dry but 3-4 coats should do the trick.
4:09 ~ The more I watch, the more I learn.
Perfect job !!! 🇧🇷
