Thank you, that solved our problem. The only thing I did differently from the video was also have Rufus check for bad blocks (there's a tickbox for this). It added a LOT of time for the disk check, but I felt it was worth it to eliminate one possible source of the problem.

After that it didn't try to use GPT and worked fine.

Guys i tried all methods nothing worked. Only thing that worked was buying a 3.0 usb and put it in that. The new motherboards read that better and it solved my problem. After that i converted my disk to gpt and ready to install. Good luck all

When I tried to download Windows 10 I was simply given a choice between language, 32 or 64-bit, and that's it. It's 5.8GB for the latest 21H1 version. Then i 'burned' it to a USB drive with balenaEtcher and it presented me with this problem. Didn't know Rufus should be used and we should select MBR. Sheesh, Microsoft.

Also, if you are trying to install from USB, check that you're using a 2.0 USB Port, not a 3.0/3.1 USB Port as it causes this error too...

Either you change your flashdrive or try in a different usb port,get a fresh copy of windows iso or boot with Rufus or power iso

If you plugged in a USB via the 3.0 port, I recommend plugging it in a usb 2 port as people say that it works the best on USB 2
After rufus decides to wipe out the flash drive, there was an error message where it can't be detected. Is it possible the flash drive is corrupted?

Create a Bootable USB as shown in the video and then Insert it in the PC which needs to be fixed
