I feel yours is the best and most thorough guide to Pictomancer because of your focus on expressing the freedom within the job. Great vid! I hope you cover more jobs.
I went from SMN main to PIC and although I miss my rez dearly, i do enjoy the freedom this job provides, not being stuck in a very long rotation. And the bonk hammer is very fun and satisfying to use XD The mobility gets some time to get used to. Thank you for the advice of not using Holy all the time because when you have a lot of attacks to dodge, you're very happy to have your overflow of white paints to move around. I'd say that the mobility for this job is a good middle ground between SMN and BLK. Anyway, good guide!
Omg, I love your guide. Thank you so much! You explained so many things that I was confused about. I wish there was similar guide for Viper because that job is even more confusing and I don't like playing class who tells me to "just press anything, it'll work fine". EDIT: I love viper! xD It's not that difficult as I thought :)
Great video! I think each section explained exactly what we needed to know, nothing more and nothing less, which made it much easier to understand and follow along.
I'm putting this into my watch later for now (only watched a bit) but I just wanted to say before I forgot that you have a good cadence and way of explaining things. Appreciate the content!
Thumbs up to this guide! Really good intro into the basics of the job and very good details into more of the nuance and complexities with maximizing it. Appreciate it!
I suck and have watched a million videos..the way you give out the info works FOR ME beautifully. Thanks about to check ur channel out and hope u have a rdm video
I love that they use color theory on this Job. Fire in Red Aero in Green Water in Blue These are the three additive colors. All of them mixed will result into... Holy in White. Blizzard in Cyan Stone in Yellow Thunder in Magenta These three are subtractive colors. All of them mixed will result to... Meteor in Black.
I have a question. I found out that even after you used up all of Hyperphantasia, you can still cast Star Prism where ever you like without cast time. What is the reason to cast Star Prism during Hyperphantasia and used up a stack of its buff for seeminly no benefit, when I can use it on regular skill and have the reduced cast time buff?
Great question! couple reasons: 1) Hyperphantasia affects both cast time AND recast time. even if Star Prism doesnt have a cast time, it means you can use your next spell faster if you use it in grass, which is important to get your 9 GCD's. This is the primary reason. 2) Hyperphantasia is paired with the raidwide damage buff, and its important to use Star Prism under party buffs because its such high potency 3) We want to use the free rainbow drip during our burst, and because of point 2 we want to use Star Prism during burst. Star Prism can help you clear Hyperphantasia to get to rainbow drip. Hope this helps!
@@SiffusVera oh I see I see thank you so much! That really clears things up a lot because I was so confused as to why even have that effect in the first place since it seems redundant. But having the choice to clear Hyperphantasia faster is def a plus. But now I have a very situational question that I am curious about: If during a perfect situation where you can use subtractive pallet back to back (meaning you can use 5 big attacks back to back), and you have enough attack window to do so, then after I finish Hyperphantasia I’ll continue the two Rainbow skills, will that increase my overall DPS? Or is it that because of your reasons above there really isn’t a reason I should cast Star Prism outside of Hyperphantasia?
@@LionStaring You would still want to use star prism inside hyperfantasia. Remember, you can only fit 9 GCD's under raid buff. If you want to use 5 hits of your negative pallet combo, you NEED to use ice somewhere in there, its unavoidable. Unfortunantly, every other thing you have access too that isn't a basic combo will deal more damage than ice. Star Prism, Rainbow Drip (assuming its got the buff), Any hit of your hammer combo, Etc. Its important to use only the most potent GCD's under raid buff, which is why we optimize ice out if necessary.

There is a 3rd alternative to 2mins burst you could use holy to replace one of CYM combo to get 9gcd.

I have a question. What are the recommendations for melds? Should spell speed be melded into gear?

I just should have never started to play this game
So pretty much build and spend like every other class
For me cons are pros
Amazing and thorough guide! I've been looking everywhere for a guide that really covered everything and yours did! Thank you so much!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍
