I Love this! We did something similar where we live out. This video actually gave us inspiration and hope that we can still become successful, thanks so much for this video.
Gouache tip that’s helped me - work from thin to fat, like oil painting. I usually layer thin watered down paint as a background first, then build up layers of paint with less water, so the final layers are the most opaque bc they’re all paint and no water. You will need a palette for mixing and adding water but it helps to do stuff like make a lighter color for the background with more water
Dude! I was wondering about that because I Love how you can manipulate watercolors and the textures etc. I was wondering if this was similar to acrylic and was very confused 😅❤❤❤
@@gillypiexo Oh it’s gouache! which acts like a mix of both mediums. I forgot to mention tho that the Pantone cards don’t seem like they’d be very receptive to watercolor, so I think that’s why Lia uses them mostly as acrylic. You can buy a primer that makes paper and other surfaces work for watercolor though.
@@lysanderthemagician6413 :0 that's one of the main reasons I don't paint more often. I have a sketch book that has thicker paper like some of my water color paintings. This gouache sounds Soo appealing. Not having frames for my paintings, or another type of storage or display also is seen as an obstacle 🤔🫢😅
@@gillypiexoTemporarily, I cut ceiling straps of building molding, make a frame, glue or small nails secures the pieces together and voila-- a frame that you can back with a variety of poster board, foam board, cardboard even, and then more pricey and heavier items. I don't secure my paintings to this kind of "framing." Michael's and other craft/art supply stores carry plexiglass plastic shadow boxes that fit around the painting and that box is then secured tithe wall. But I don't use that due to humidity issues in my So CAL apartment.
I think it's more dependent on what we compare it to. For a complete non artist, this is amazing. But maybe for what she has in mind/what she knows is her potential, this isn't looking that good.
Oh my goodness i was just scrolling in Pinterest and here's the pin name & artist, The pin: Dreamy sky aesthetic The artist: Deb, @cloudsundermyeyes Hope it helped :)
Finally somebody who makes this series who is actually a BEGINNER and not making the Mona Lisa on the first day of the series Where did 100 likes come from 💀
You have painted this picture like a pro. This painting is so pretty! Congrats on learning gouche very well in just a few months?! I hope you get to 1 million subs!❤
Girl. YOU DO NOT LOOK LIKE A BEGINNER 🥺😊 I have looked you up, (trying to find art to do, ) so many times!!! I think I have your name searched up in the search bar like 4 times! You inspire me to never give up, take my time, and to have the right mindset for all my art!❤️
water it down and work in layers. thicker as you go. Its like watercolor but layering is a little hard to do. But just go thicker with your layers as you go and it shouldn't lift up as much.
Gurl u may say that your a beginner but you do it way better than you think a beginner and this is just soo cool as you did it like with your memory lol 😉❤️ Plus I get inspired by you⭐
@@liahansen that's alright I try to draw everyday and can never get any ideas normally I get my ideas from u tbh and tysm for responding this made my dayy❤️
As someone who has painted with guache my whole life because that was what was the easiest to find it really is fun to see people want to learn how to paint eith it
The background looks really good. The only thing I would say is the stoplight its the outline of the stop light thats the only thing that’s not really that good but as a beginner you did amazing.❤❤
ITS SO CUTEE I think ur doing great so far with the gouache! Can I have a shout out also I think you should paint some waffles or like breakfast foods, maybe even something for Ramadan….?😅❤❤️❤️❤️
that's really good! best tip I can give that worked really well for myself is to watch masters and people who are really good at it . there are so many beginner friendly tutorials here on TH-cam . and even if your paintire not as good as wanted them to be continue! practice is always the key!
It looks great! I think that you could try doing the paintings once a week or twice a week, so you don't get so art blocked but still learn and practice quite a lot? I'm not sure about the artist tho, but I definitely saw that used as a spotify playlist image. Also please don't tell me I'm only one who lowkey feels like this gives a vibe of life series (the Minecraft one)
As an guoche artist i would say that u tried really good and if u use more equalness on the basis of the traffic light and first do white color on the backgrout of the light to make it better......btw rest all is pretty😄👍👍👍
Lia, your doing great!! You are doing so good for a beginner! You are so inspiring to me! You never give up and that encourages me to never stop doing my dreams!💗

I recommend making the first layer aka the sky thinner with water if you want your second layer aka the clouds to pop out more and not dissolve into the sky
Since you said ideas for guache painting, you can try an evening type of background and try to do lettering on the background and I said to do lettering because you're like my most favorite calligrapher (if that is even a thing) and if you think your paintings are not cool, Girl you are AMAZING not to be dramatic but it's true. And for beginners you're doing great. Hopefully my inspiration was good 😊
