I think I can remember the Marina Centre being lit up at night or am I imagining that? I can remember that building looking nice at night.
I just want to thank you both very much for doing these Yarmouth walks. My parents owned 12 Wellesley Rd Guest House back in the sixties early seventies. Loved my childhood. Having moved to Cambridge I really love your walks as they bring back so many happy memories for me 😊

I can not wait to come back to my happy place, and I have a few 😃, when I feel down or alone or even unhappy I just think of my happiness and the places I’ve been. When we had Lockdown we was due to come up but Lockdown wasn’t easy and I was so unhappy but I love your videos they always are a gentle nudge to put me in a better mood
My Dad knew GY rail station very well. In the early 1930’s. He used to meet the tourists off the train to carry their luggage to their lodgings esp . if they had a eligible young lady!!
Blimey I bet yarmouth looked different then

I've been on the Hovercraft across to the Isle of Wight. We went over for the day . Me and my late Mum went for a weekend in Southsea / Portsmouth. So we decided to have a trip over there. I used to love all the illuminations when I was a child they were magical. I think Gaby will be 39 on Monday. Love your walks you both entertain me and make me chuckle 😂 . I saw Cannon & Ball on the britania pier back in 1990 along with the Nolan sisters. Really enjoyed this fun as always love to you both Tracey 💕 Xx PS Happy birthday for Monday Gaby 🎁🎉 Xx
Thank you Tracey yes correct 39 I really don’t know where my thirties have gone.. getting older always scares me but we live for today xxx

@@GabyStarbuckx it was a great walk. We go to seashore every year since I was a kid. Used to go with my mum and dad and now I'm married we take our kids, and spend time in great Yarmouth. Heard Tim was originally from Cambridge. Like us lol.
I love Yarmouth! Usually always arrive by train then walk to Market Gates and get a bus.. 😂
Nice, thanks for watching Charlotte
Our family are coming to Hemsby in May, always come to Great Yarmouth - Jayne Evans in Rushden, Northamptonshire
I enjoyed the live stream. The town will be rammed which this tiresome lockdown is lifted. The new Marina Centre is going up fast.
Let's hope it's good news for tourism
That White Swan pub is no longer a pub, even if it looks quite pubby !!
It's a fishmongers and fish restaurant, so it's now more fishy and less beery.
Northgate street has never been the same since Lawford' bike shop closed.
yes we know that gaby still calls it a pub lol
Happy birthday grey for Monday fromAndrewmay in Yarmouth

The Grosvenor used to be the Shadingfield Hotel. I went in there for a couple of birthdays in the late 80s early 90s.
yikes thats going back sometime
Aww so nice to see you doing a video with your Daughter 🙂
? Gaby that's my wife!
We stayed here many times when my boys were small, The Limelight club and the Follies were great clubs, it seems they are no longer there, great site, very easy to get to, easy access to Yarmouth town, would recommend for families.

Used to love it here in the early 80s (actually stayed in Caister with my family/mates as I commented on your Caister Haven video, but we'd come into Yarmouth every day) Very happy times!
Thanks for watching Glen
Hi Tim and Gaby, I have to say, yet another great, entertaining, and very informative video, and your genuine chemistry shines through! Pubs can serve customers inside from 17th May, and your idea of a live pub/bar crawl is excellent. I can appreciate your reservations about mixing a live broadcast, and too much alcohol for obvious reasons, but maybe the way round it would be to alternate with a half/soft drink in each one to avoid a messy outcome? I can't see pub/bar managers/owners minding, as it would be free publicity for them, and with so many great, characterful venues in GY, it would make for a very entertaining video. Keep safe guys!
LOL thanks for watching chance
@@WalkWithMeTim Always a pleasure Tim!
Aww such a nice comment what a great idea I could do a soft drink between each one no problem lol.. thanks so much for your support x
@@GabyStarbuckx You're welcome Gaby! Are you related to Dave Starbuck? Thought I'd ask, as It's such an unusual surname...

I am sure I saw Little and Large and Cannon and Ball in Great Yarmouth, used to go to Wellington Pier and Britannia Pier,I went to the ABC once, the steps in that theatre seemed steep.

Thank you
Its the Bure, it runs from asda/Breydon water northwards, to Melton Constable, 11 miles upstream of aylsham, its point of origin!
Not giving you stick, simply stating facts!
Have look over wall at asda, can see Bure to left, Yare to right/out to sea.
Thanks for clearing that up ray
Great video - enjoying it
Glad you enjoyed it
Also I’ve just subscribed to Gaby’s Chanel too.

Is the Carlton hotel still there ? My mum & dad used to go to the dinner dance at the Carlton on a Saturday night (back in the 60s). I am from Lowestoft. Now in Australia.

hi, just woke up as you getting your chip shop hot chocolate, is the noodle restaurant opp the chippy still there?, one our fav' eaterie buffett. as you keep mention the tower, in my days it was known as the oasis, there was a night club on 2nd floor and you could go up to the top via a lift for eye view of yarmouth sea front. back in the 70's outside front were stalls with one doing real fruit ice cream, loved the pineapple one. i thought yesterday world was in the windmill?.does jim davidson still own the wellington pier or was it the bar before, aha yes but i heard he bought it because the council wouldnt allow jim to drink after time called, i once stood next to jim having a pint. i hear jim carr on britannia pier, love to see him, hes realy brill. yes the chip shop opp pleasure beach was a pub about 20 years ago. there was a double wheel which turned half way. i think a horse cart ride is 5.00 and takes you from joyland to pleasure beach or vise versa but can get off any where. wheres the 2nd wooden rolla coasta?. oh its indoor golf at the windmill. did you know all the arcades are named after las vegas. im originaly from southampton, recently someone ask where my accent from, hampshire, no thats not it, so i said my dad was born in norwich, ha thats it, norfolk accent, lol. the old house of wax not great. thanks for agreeing wih me ha ha. shame you not mention the market chip stalls, a high light of mine especially bowes with all his sauces. good night from me who been going to yarmouth since 1964 [south tottenham, london]
Fish chips and mushy peas please Tim fromAndrewmay in yarmouth
