Mine is an older machine and I couldn't find any holes for the line to go through. It dawned on me that there was a gap underneath the twin 'nail heads' The line went through easily and I could get back to more clearing So simple when you know how so a big THANK YOU
My flymo edge trimmer keeps throwing out the line when I have it on, like the actual spool itself spins inside the housing causing the gut to unwind. Does anyone know how to fix this?
@@kylemccallum6493 sadly not, the only thing that seems to work is putting a folded piece of paper between the spool and tur lid that covers it. That seems to hold it place.
Make sure you wind the cord as in the video. Follow any arrows since the head will only spin in one direction and relies upon the spiraled cord in the direction it should be - on my spool it shows clockwise winding needed.
This is quite possibly the worst auto-feed system in the world. It didn't matter how many times I rewound the spools exactly as in this video, it jammed. 30 seconds strimming for 10 minutes unjamming! Thanks god, I only borrowed this and didn't buy it.

I have tried to do this sooo many times unsuccessfully. This video is brilliant ..finally I can do this! Thank you much 👌
Best video on TH-cam ever! I'm user of Flymo 700. It blows my mind every time I replace the cord. It's a crazy invention.
Thank you very much for the demonstration and info. I was wondering how to get my XT machine ready for this summer.

Great video I'd got no instructions on how to fit the nylon line so after watching this it was a piece of cake Thanks
Thanks, have been tearing my hair out trying to do mine, so easy when you know how!!

@@piepatonie1294 okay thank i will give that a try 👍
How do i replace the whole head.
This thing is bane of my life. Mine doesn't have holes for the string to go through its like 2 poles and it just snaps straight away.

Thanks the video is so helpful
Wish I'd watched this video before I replaced the line on my trimmer...thanks for next time though!
