    You are a lifesaver! Thanks very much for a clear, paced demonstration on how to fit the spool. I made many mistakes before...I had to buy a spool due to wasting so much...now I'm sorted 👌

    Man, I never thought to leave the lines clipped in and then releasing after threading through the holes..always had a full on swearing session each time 😂. Cheers buddy!

      A few people have mentioned that. I'm wondering if some are being wound on the wrong way from the manufacturer. I haven't had that issue. Are you clipping the wires back in correctly?

    • @mark.e.p
      @mark.e.p 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @POUSEaroundtheHOUSE yep. Wound it the other way too.

    I like this Flymo Speedi-Trim Electric Grass Trimmer and I’m considering pressing your link to buy it and the spool line on Amazon, but can you tell me what’s the difference between this model your reviewing and the Contour XT and Flymo Contour 500E?
    I have a fairly largish lawn, and I use a Flymo lawnmower to cut my grass but I just need a good trimmer for the edges of the grass because the lawnmower can’t get that close to the edges of the grass. Thanks.

      If I'm honest, I'm not sure of difference. I bought this strimmer on offer a few years back, and was just after some good cheap spools. Sorry if that's not much help to you. What did you choose in the end?

      It does feed itself out if it breaks but I haven't experienced that problem sorry.

    The mistake my mum did was buy a separate line which was smooth and.not twisted 1.5mm so it kept slipping and unravelling. Your solution is better.

    I rewind my own using old electric wiring. It lasts much longer than the nylon stuff, but watch you don't catch yourself when it's running. Ouch!!!

    Unfortunately i just fell into the trap listening to your vid, and payed £13.39 inc P&P for 4 spools, the same spools on Ebay are £7.98 inc P&P a saving of £5.41, might be time to update your vid Sir.

    • @POUSEaroundtheHOUSE
      @POUSEaroundtheHOUSE  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's a shame you felt the video was a 'trap' as I was simply showing the viewer a cheaper option and how to correctly fit a spool. You are under no obligation to buy anything, I simply put a link so people can see the product I used in the video. I also just checked the link and the price is currently £8.99, but I must add Amazon control their prices, not me! Have a great day and thanks for watching 👍
