I think it’s more a question of Allen’s personal honor. He doesn’t want Mark to be forced into this fight and he wants to believe he, Mark and everyone involved are doing it for the greater good. Beating Mark and forcing him to come speak to the Coalition would make him no better than the Viltrumites.

One of the Cons of the Zenkai boost, is that you will always need to get used to your newfound strength, otherwise, you'll break objects that you couldn't break so easily.
NGL, having that level of power would quickly get annoying for me haha. Im sure it’s cool at first until you end up crushing everything you own by mistake. Having super strength sadly doesn’t pay for all the shit you broke😂 I know for a fact I’d accidentally snap my game controller during a moment of excitement when I’m playing a game

It was a smart move for Nolan to hide the knowledge of how to stop the viltrumites
In sci-fi books.
Being on earth took out most of the programming mark would be his decision to either follow through or to end it. He wrote those books to go with either way, he goes against knowledge to stop viltrumites. He goes with, knowledge to prepare against threats
he probably knew the age old saying "write what you know" and wrote from his own space adventures and missions that stuck out in his mind, knowing that the people of earth would have no clue it was real so he could pass it off as Sci-fi.
Dude, I love Mark and Alan's friendship. They just cut straight through the b******* they don't have to hide they don't have to be insecure around each other that they don't have to put up any pretenses it's just straight honesty between each other.

makes sense, if youre not floating 100% of the time then ya feet gonna get unhygienic if you dont have something covering em. maybe at best some species only wear stuff more comparable to shoes, but it makes sense that almost every alien has footwear.
its not like the sock thing on earth developed thanks to a specific culture, its just an object everyone has, and its easy to hang off a door knob. shirts would be too big, not everyone wears hats, and basically no school equipment hangs comfortably off a door knob

Even having the legendary Peter Cullen as well. Next thing you know they might have Frank welker or Kevin Conroy (if he did some voice lines before his passing) or Jemas earl Jones
Seth Rogan is an executive producer for the show also for The Boys, I believe
I'm not usually a fan of his humour or character performances, I don't hate them they just don't feel like my kind of humour which is fine but...

This isn't a spoiler, but non-viltrumite guards didn't surprise me. Nolan alone has conquered HUNDREDS of planets, it's not hard to picture a lot of them being made into slaves or that a number of them would get indoctrinated into the regime.

Yes that's the detail I am referring too. It dose make sense that you would indoctrinated species in you're ranks for obvious reasons. But you would think you wouldn't have them guarding you're secret prison full of individuals that are of varying degrees of threats or guilty of crimes against to you're empire. You'd think you'd trust you're fellow viltrumites would you not. Being powerful enough to ensure you're prisoners stay put. Not saying these current guards aren't capable of that but all the same i think it's a nice hint that the viltrumites are in fact low in number and thus cannot adequately occupy there territory.

And we've seen that a viltrumite can potentially be killed if not seriously injured if in a fight with several other powerful foes (e.g Omni Man Vs Guardians) you'd think you would want to be better safe then sorry. Unless you dont have enough viltrumites to staff you're prison.
as someone who didn't read the comics, hearing Allen say that Viltrumite's don't kill their own people much anymore made me like genuinely so interested in their culture because it makes sense to a degree. their empire was founded killing each other so now that they rule the galaxy they hold their lifespans sacred. really unique and cool way to subvert expectations and keep Nolan around in an organic way that makes sense in universe

Am I the only one who finds it weird that a viltrumite general told Mark that they’re not only going to kill his father (who they’ve kidnapped), but also come to invade his planet and kill millions of people at any moment and all he seems to be worried about right now is fixing things with a girl that he’s only been dating for not even a year?

Kinda preferred the comic version of that scene, Kregg basically says “ok his job is yours now you have 100 years to get it done we’ll send someone to check on your progress” maybe if they kept it like that would’ve made Mark’s priorities make a little more sense

Wonder why Nolan wrote the books to begin with. Yes I know it's a way to beat the Empire, but why would he leak secrets like this? Only until recently was he loyal to the Empire.
It's still useful to teach Mark about his people's weaknesses if he chose to join the Viltrumite empire. Things to be wary of in space
Nolan fell off caring about his mission until mark gained his powers, that’s why he waits until that happens to go after the guardians
As part of his cover career as a novelist, he was writing space adventures. He had to write what he knew about so he wrote about the things that interested him or threatened him during his time in the viltrumite military.

maybe its just me but i find it a little odd that omni man knows about all these things that could hurt viltrumites but not Thaddeus but that aside these episodes have been hype as well as the character development for everyone especially Rex hes became a lot better than how he was in season 1 can't wait to see where this goes
In fairness Nolan’s job was literally going to territory outside of viltrum control and conquering it so he has more of a exploration type job than Thaedus as if I remember correctly he left at the earlier stages of viltrumite expansion and has spent the last long while as a politician so it kinda makes sense as Nolan would have a higher chance to find stuff like that , the real question is how come the the viltrumites aren’t more freaked out by things like Ragnar existing ? 😂

@@nem5039 Based off what was said it's possible the only reason they are a threat is because of the high gravity not their strength alone. Meaning on a planet like Earth Nolan could've beat hundreds or thousands of them it was just him not being used to the gravity what made them a threat.

Gotta be honest, is kind of annoying how Mark is always preoccupied with attending university and Amber (screw her). I mean he is the strongest person in the world, working for the most powerful and well funded government organization as their strongest asset, why does he need the degree so much? He could be traveling to entire new systems and meeting other species as the first contact of Earth with the rest of the universe, but no, he needs so bad that 80% assistance.
