As a female I couldn't see spending a small fortune to do this on my 2001 Nissan frontier Your right pain in the butt had to walk away a couple of times but finally got it out zero room to get the screws out! The designer that did this never changed the fuse and should be shot! Again Thank You!🙏

Thank you 🙏 would probably unbolt all kind things I didn’t have to unbolt lol I think I popped this fuse putting some cheap LED reverse lights on 2003 Frontier. Put the stocks back on and didn’t work then the truck didn’t want to start. 🤦♂️ took battery to autozone was good bought new gold terminals. Checked all fuses and this the main suspect. lol Will replace tomorrow morning. Thanks again
On the late 90s Nissans this is actually more common than you’d think. It sounds crazy but someone over at Nissan thought the marking the ground cable with a stripe would be an obvious indication of which is - and which is + especially at night. Some people snatch the old batteries out and don’t pay attention to that stuff, or even bother to look and see where they lead too..
Use a flat tip screwdriver that comes in an eyeglasses repair kit. Those eyeglasses repair kits are available at your local pharmacy and at your local eye doctor's office for less than $5 and the tip end is small and milled precisely. That small eyeglasses screwdriver works great for releasing those tiny clips on the fusebox. And for other similar jobs.

You will see that it’s blown, but the symptoms are that you won’t get any power when you turn the key. Any power at all, even if you put jumper cables and you turn the ignition you won’t get any lights.
Garage Boys the issue is, a fully charged battery... or even a low battery... I have a portable jumper... cranks and starts but if you have the volt meter you will see that the volt is below 12V and my volt meter has a portion to check if the alternator is putting output
Check that the cables behind the fuse box are tight, also check if the alternator cables are tight. If cables are fine then most likely your alternator is old and is giving up

How do you physically know if that fuse is bad? My friend’s infinity qx4’s brand new alternator doesn’t charge the battery...
