  • BREAKFAST SERIES: BLUE BOY VEGETARIAN FOOD COURT
The cosy food court is nestled in between old buildings. It is a gem you won’t find without something telling you about its existence. While I’ve never been keen on full vegetarian restaurants, Blue Boy is unique. Ah WaH, a kind gentleman who has been frying char kuey teow (Penang-style flat noodles) for over 40 years is known in the community for delivering an authentic plate without meat.
Chung is the owner’s son who manages the stall with his mum Aunty Tan (Kim) and a team full of good vibes. There are many local favourites and vegetarians and vegans from different communities drop by have a warm breakfast made with love and fresh ingredients. Everything was created by ensuring that unique local taste is delivered without compromising on being a full-vegetarian outlet.
I recommend coming in the morning while city folks are settling into their office and on a weekday where older folks enjoy a good cup of local tea or coffee.
Come and support our amazing cooks and passionate restauranteurs. They’ve been incredibly brave to weather the pandemic and now need our love and support.!
