The powerful and convincing writings of Michael Davies and others were available then but were apparently ignored.

under Paul VI it didn't seem to take much to be more Catholic than the direction he was taking. Under John Paul II and Benedict, it was better. Under Pope Francis, it is anybody's guess what Catholicism or the Papacy even IS any more. But then, who am i to judge?
The authors should have chosen CMRI or SSPV instead to investigate and critique. Much more traditional and not in cahoots with Rome.
Excellent review. I was confirmed into the Church in 2013 through RCIA, but within 5 years realized the fullness and reverence of the TLM and haven't looked back. I bought this book then and thought it was interesting how they seemed to skirt over issues like the changing of the liturgy, and ridding the Mass of latin chant, the communion rail, etc. Now I see it was not very in-depth research. It seems to zero in on the topic of schism toward the Roman Pontiff. I think Vere may have had an axe to grind as a previous adherent to SSPX....we'll never know.

Perhaps the topic struck a nerve. I didn't notice the music until the cheap comment. As a former Novus Ordo-ite, I appreciate the topic. I used to swallow VII uncritically but not anymore. Modernism is the enemy of Christ and has successfully corrupted everything. A return to Tradition is way way overdue.

The thing is, I encounter the so-called "straw man" arguments many times a week. "Vatican II was a pastoral Council" is something I get thrown at me all the time. Sometimes it happens three times on the same day.
I say this out of love and charity, no. One is being misleading or does not have the full understanding and belief of the Sedevacantists.
The Sedevacantits believes, worships and or professes the papacy, the Magisterium, the Ex Cathedral, the Dogmas/ Divine Revelation of the Roman Catholic Church/Faith, the 7 Sacraments, the traditional Mass (set forth by Jesus Christ) and the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church/Faith prior to the evils of the Vatican II sect. Therefore, the Sedevantists is in communion with the Roman Catholic Church/Faith whereas the Vatican II sect new religion and new church are not in communion with the Roman Catholic Church/Faith.
The heresy, apostasy and idolatry of the Vatican II sect are many and are not the true teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There are two types of heresy. There is Heresy in Fact and Heresy by Law. Both the Most Holy Family Monastery (Benedict Religious - Br. Peter & Michael Diamond) and Mr. Horn are 100% correct regarding Heresy by Law which any pope, clergy or laity that commits these false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church/Faith must be brought in front of, not sure what it’s called, a religious tribunal which intern will make its judgment to be excommunicated. But a Heresy in Fact, allows the laity to eliminate themselves away from any clergy that commits heresy, apostasy and or idolatry. Such as, a monsignor, priest and or bishop that allows the worship of another religion is a mortal sin and an abomination against our Lord Jesus Christ along with being a heresy, apostasy and or idolatry.
I could go on and on about the heresy, apostasy and or idolatry of the Vatican II sect but it would be much longer than this video.
Paul VI: He gutted all of the Roman Catholic Churches around the world by eliminating the Sacrificial Altars to a supper table. Just like the Lutherans and if you look carefully all new churches look like Freemason and masonic lodges. He eliminated the Mass by allowing 6 protestant ministers to develop the new mass, gutted the 7 Sacraments by eliminating ceremonies and prayers within each of the sacraments, destroying the liturgy, destroying the Eucharistic prayers and ceremonies changing ceremonies and prayers that have been around for centuries and eliminating key words within those ceremonies and prayers that changes those ceremonies and prayers forever along with making the Mass, the sacraments, the liturgy and the Eucharist invalid. Allows you to participate in other religions (pagan) services which is sacrilege and has never been the true teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I am a lot older than Mr. Horn and I will share with you that when I was taught the catechism of the Roman Catholic Church/Faith my Vatican I priest told us that if you are not of the Roman Catholic Faith and baptized in the Roman Catholic Faith you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. This is the true teachings of the church which is not the true teachings of the Vatican II sect.
Vatican II was not pastoral, it was meant to be authoritative according to Antipopes John XXIII and Paul VI. The documents were on faith and morals meant for the whole Church and Paul VI evoked his supposed authority. Given these facts that just makes the apostasy even more apparent. The Holy Mother of God revealed to that great Servant of God, Benedicta of Florence, that a girl of twelve was damned after her first sin.
The most graphic description of Hell was given by Our Lady of Fatima to three shepherd children in the year 1917 in Portugal. The following is what the children saw: “Our Lady opened her hands and rays of light seemed to penetrate the earth. And we saw as it were a sea of fire. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers all blackened or burnished bronze. Floating about in the fire now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves. Together with great clouds of smoke now falling back on every side. Like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals. Terrified, we looked up at Our Lady who said to us so kindly and so sadly, ‘You have seen Hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart.’”
Our Lady of Fatima tells us, “More souls go to Hell for sins of the flesh than for any other sin.” She also stated, “Many marriages are not good, they do not please Our Lord and are not of God.” Sister Lucia of Fatima stated, “Taking into account the behavior of mankind, only a small part of the human race will be saved.” Lucia relates to us her conversation with Jacinta, “Jacinta, what are you thinking of?” Jacinta replied, “About the war which will come. So many people will die and almost all of them will go to Hell.”
