I saw where one mechanic was troubleshooting as the problem didn't show up on his All tell scanner ...He had an injector that would start out good then signal would progressive get worse as the car was driven.
I'm running Calvert split leaf springs, and their traction bar setup with sliders on a 66 nova build with a built NA LS7, manual trans. I could have gone 4 link but I didn't want to cut up the car and the leaf spring setup is good for 7's. I'm only shooting for 10's. I'll be following along.
I get misfires quite often on my 4.6 in the crown Vic. They seem to get water in them quite easily, I'm guessing it's from condensation as I have the problem more often when it's humid. 90% of the time blowing out the holes and drying the boots seems to fix it. I've also stopped using aftermarket coils.
Don't know if this kit is designed the way I'm about to describe, but for optimal function, the slider slot for the leaf springs needs to be the same angle/parallel with the line between the two eyelet holes at each end of the spring pack.

One of the best suspension mods I did to my S-10 drag truck was the mono split leafs with sliders and Caltracks. Definitely go by the instructions on the initial setup of the bars. For god sake make sure you pair everything with a good double adjustable shock at a minimum. I cheaped out the first time and it fought me like crazy.
Make sure at ride height and race weight your sliders are in the first 1/3rd of the bracket. This way when launching and the spring gets longer it does not bottom out in the bracket.
I can't believe the kit came with aluminum bushings for both ends. As the springs compresses and twists and binds it will create massive stress on the frame and brackets and ride really bad because of the bind. Hope I am wrong but, common sense says I am right. Doug Norridin at Global West Suspension in San Bernadino, Ca. makes a spherical bearing setup for leaf springs drag racing that eliminates this bind with tons of articulation, and has zero deflection.
