Yes, swapped the van to the ute to tow.
Jacked the front and disconnect the hubs, to allow 2WD, and made our wa to the closest town to fix.

A bit of a worry that noise on the front end of tghe Cruiser.... what was that noise in the end.... CV's, Diff's or Gearbox.... bit of a worry about the Cruiser capability....
Every 4x4 has its weeknesses, mn u cant have reliability, torque, strength and saftey all without a cost. so what the cruisers front diffs go? so u do what they did, put it in 2wd and drive out.
whats the patrols weekness? they have there achilis heel aswell.
good vids n funny in some parts but the old man needs to keep his cool for the vids for others

Out of interest what did you do when the front diff blew? Just put her back into 2WD and keep going?
Good Vid Boy's, is the 100 front diff a weak link? I know in my 105, the front diff is weak in reverse. But I've herd, quite a few of the boy's in the U.S. are breaking them in the 100!....

I bet 10 dollars that that front diff blew up because the front air locker was engaged.
People STILL don't know how and when to use a locker correctly.......
I'd say climbing up a rocky hill with a big ass trailer behind you is a good as time as any to use the diff. It didn't even look like it was under much stress when it blew.
Spectre Exactly. I agree. It does not look like much stress there so I wonder what would cause enough stress to bust it ?

Ade Larsen I never said the Diff Lock wasn't engaged. I was simply pointing out that using the diff Lock in this scenario is perfectly reasonable. I thought my comment was pretty clear.
