I was watching the video thinking what would I take with me would i ever drive the Dakar Rally? And then i saw the final shot of the motor all alone, realizing he couldnt take most of that preparation gear. Sooo scary being out there all alone!

You know just finishing the race is a prize in itself.
You must be the type that encourages all the kids to get a trophy... even though they lost the game.
As seeing it has a high failure rate. Finishing it is a good accomplishment. I didn’t say anything about the one that’s win it . Kudos to the teams that do win it . I didn’t say the ones who finished it deserve anything other than finishing it . But I bet you eat tide pods !

Yeah the boomers in the trucks who can't even keep 4 wheels on the ground are less impressive than the beer-guts of professional darters. What are they even doing? It's 100% the material that gets to the finish *despite* the boomer driving it.

Such a shame that dakar is only once a year. Its amazing to watch some of the words best rally drivers, drive through the desert far beyond the limit

After watching this I got SO MUCH RESPECT for the sport.
The suv righting that massive truck in the beginning is insane. It looks like both rear wheels came off the ground when the rope went tight

I've loved motorsports all of my life (+50 years) and have come to the conclusion that Rally drivers are the most talented. And Dakar lets them show they are competitors with honor.

Riding in any vehicle must be insane but those trucks through the dunes has to be the craziest… sitting up high that must take balls of steel
The bikers have a few loose bolts for sure, harsh terrain and weather. Extreme courage and determination, guy was like " I drive one eye no problem yes?"
